My parents moved into this facility right before the covid shutdown. Shortly after moving in my father passed away because he was extremely ill. My mother has continued living here since March. She has received extremely good care and when medical issues have arisen I have been notified and she has gone to either the hospital or drs. office. I know that without the covid issues the facility offers daily activities for the residents to participate in. Most of the staff have built good relationships with my mom and that gives me piece of mind that although there are restrictions for visiting she at least receives that human touch. My only concern is the amount of time that it takes to answer the call light. This facility has not had a covid outbreak and have taken many precautions to keep residents safe. At this point I am able to visit my mother through the window. I know they are working on making a safe environment that will allow for in person visitations in the future. I highly recommend this facility and when speaking to others in my community that have had loved ones here I have only heard good reviews.

The staff neglected my grandma and refused to give her her medication. She died due to her lungs filling up with blood clots.

Evergreen Health and Rehabilitation impressed me for many reasons. First, I had a long conversation with the Nurse Manager and her assistant. Their obvious care and concern for the welfare of their clients was heartening. Next, the facility was clean and decorated in a manner appropriate to the season and to the inhabitants. There was an on-site beauty parlor where men could get haircuts and women could get perms, blue rinses, whatever they desired. I was able to discuss their protocol for wound care and see their supplies and they were clearly up to date on the best and most effective dressings and unguents. The programs for entertainment and occupational therapy were also well-conceived and executed in a manner appropriate for the clientele involved. Finally, it has a good reputation locally for its rehabilitation program which is perhaps it's most vital attribute. Although it was unable to dispel the feeling of "nursing home" entirely, it was a facility where I would be comfortable working, admitting a family member for care and if necessary being a resident myself.
