My mom stayed after a knee replacement. She enjoyed the staff, food and other patients. The staff were supportive and responsive to my mom. She has a low threshold for pain and they went out of their way to ensure she had the medications needed and she was comfortable. The room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. She enjoyed meal time because she joined several other patients for social time during meals. All of the staff were knowledgeable and on top of treatments. I felt confident with the care she was given.

They hardly ever answer the phone! And when they do they are totally clueless! Makes it very hard to get a hold of your loved one when you are out of town. They can't even plug in my mom's phone and turn it on for her. Sure would save a lot of their time! The times I have visited my mom's room smells atrocious, my mom is rarely cleaned or changed for that matter. Ants in the sink! The staff always seems bothered and some are just rude when you ask basic questions. When I'm there It takes a hour, minimum for them to answer my mom's call button, only to pass the buck for another hour wait. If that's how it is when I'm there, how is it when I'm not there?! I understand staff shortages but this place borders on neglect. Unfortunately this was the only place we could get mom into and being disabled myself I'm not able to care for her. Step it up empres!! Your facility earns a negative 5 stars!

From the moment I arrived, the staff were kind, caring and attentive. They assigned me a room and I settled in. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are all amazing. I stayed 4 days at Empres and was very pleased. The food is very good. I had come from the hospital and commented it was as good or better than what the hospital served. In my opinion they were some of the nicest people I've ever met. Pastor Ronald Lund, Aloha, Oregon

According to the case manager at the hospital after my husband was forced into this facility because he was in need if OT after a stay in the hospital This place would have been my LAST choice. The food (if you call it that) is brought in from outside and reheated on site (and cold by the time it reaches the patient) The staff is more concerned about not doing something that they weren't assigned than caring for the patient If they have medical staff I've never heard from them..(after many requests for a call to go over my husband's care) It took over a week for them to realize that he had Rx's that he should be taking The only plus I can think of is that their PT staff has been supportive and capable no more than 2 stars

I only gave it 1 star because I had to- this place in no way shape or form deserves any stars- the communication between management, caregivers and other staff is horrible. The staff half the time did not even know the last time someone has been toileted or fed. It reeks of urine and is not clean- my grandmother was there for several months (due to an injury) and unfortunately as she became more able body they would medicate her and complain to my mother about her trying to "escape"- (she was found by the doors ONCE), they wanted her out of her facility. They only want people who are bed ridden and can't communicate or move around (less responsibility). They need a major overhaul on the management- this last time I saw my grandma she looked so medicated and out of it, this is not MY normal cheery grandma! Whenever I would visit I would very rarely meet a smiling face, my heart broke for every resident in there- they have a team of very young people who I'm sure don't have much life experiences or sympathy, so it seemed. I really advise anyone looking into this facility to think hard- and try try try to find a different placement. Hope this helps someone!

We chose Evergreen Nursing Home because it is close to where we live and also it is recommended by the hospital for my mom. She is content being there, she is 91 years old. The room we got for her is fine. It is spacious for one person. Their staff is very helpful. The food they serve there is fair for older people and there is not much to it. They could improve on it.
