The one I love is Glenmoore Gracious Retirement Living. It was so beautiful, light, and airy. I think my friend is going to move in there. We saw an apartment and it was beautiful. It has beautiful balconies. The lady who helped us was a five-plus. The lady was very gracious. She brought out all kinds of brochures. She answered all my friend's questions, showed us an apartment, toured us around everything, and introduced us to the bus driver. We talked to her for a while. It was just the most wonderful tour, so if I weren't going to consider the other place, I would consider this one. We had lunch there, and it was just delicious. I thought it was very nice that they not only offered the main course, but they had an alternative main course if you didn't care for that one. They had a vegetarian offering, too, so they catered to all types of palates. They don't have a pool. They have balconies though. It is very nice.

I toured Glenmoore Gracious Retirement Living. It was very good and very nice. I like the décor and the activities that they have. The staff gave me a tour. All they have there is independent living. Upkeep was very good. I was very impressed with it. It was very clean and modern. It's an overall nice facility. They showed me two apartments, and they were very nice. The staff were good and knowledgeable.

We went to Glenmoore Gracious Retirement Living. We learned that they don't have assisted living, what my dad's needs are medication, and they said they do have someone that works with medication, and so I need to call them tomorrow to find out more about it. We just like the atmosphere the best and the room sizes. Everybody we saw yesterday was phenomenal, very knowledgeable, very helpful, very patient, and very willing to show us whatever we asked for. The dining room was very nice.

Glenmoore Gracious Retirement Living was more up-to-date than all of the other places we looked at. It was more modern, it had a two-bedroom, two-bath that we wanted, and all the meals. They had a theater, a beauty shop, they had a library, and the people were extremely nice, and very helpful. They provided us with one meal, and it was quite delicious. I think that they have a lot of activities. We're planning to move there.

I’m on a waiting list at Glenmoore Gracious Retirement Living. I went up there and had lunch. I would say it was good restaurant food. There were 4 or 5 selections. It was very homey, and the people I sat with at the table were very pleasant. It is brand new. It has only been open now for less than 2 years. It’s in a fairly nice residential area. Over and all, this is the one I’ve selected. Our neighbor has been there for over a year, and she talks very highly of it. It’s near -- about a mile and a half away from where I’m living now. It’s in my neighborhood, so I know all the places around there. There are restaurants that I eat within a mile up there. Some of them are even right across the street. Kaiser Sunnyside hospital is less than a mile away, and that’s my hospital, so it’s very convenient. The 1-bedroom units have balconies or patios. They have separate bedrooms, walk-in showers, and little kitchens. They had a full size refrigerator, no ovens, but a hot plate. When somebody moves out, you have to wait 2 weeks before anybody else can move in because they’ll completely redo the whole thing. They’ll replace the carpet, and they’ll repaint everything.

Glenmoore Gracious Retirement Living is a superior facility. The people are very friendly, helped me out immensely, and answered all of my questions. They've accommodated my mom's wishes to move into a double room which she has been craving. They made a maximum-effort to accommodate her wishes by changing things around inside the room. They have available facilities for my mom's dog. I'm very pleased with what's been provided. There are quite a number of pets to my observation. They have a transportation facility that's taking the people to a number of different locations. The food is reasonably good. I only ate there once, but my mom is pretty satisfied. They brought in people for the Christmas season like different choir groups. For the Jewish people there was lighting of Hanukkah candles; which I participated in. She moved in there the second week of November. It's a good place.
