Last February I moved in at Marquis Forest Grove. The thing that I like here is that it's a relatively small facility, and the residents are very friendly. The staff is good too. We had fairly new people, and they are fairly trained. They are really doing a good job, so that has been good. The room that I have is larger than most of the units that we saw as far as the Medicaid beds. It’s a good sized room, and I really have a great view. The downside with this facility is we only have one elevator. They have just recently remodeled the dining area. They have new chairs, tables, and placemats, but they made it more difficult to clean because the dirt gets trapped in the placemat and underneath the placemat. The activities are limited, and that is frustrating.

My friend used to be at Marquis Care. It was a clean facility. The dining room was clean and sufficient. The staff was very pleasant. He had Alzheimer's and he was in a special unit so he couldn't just walk out to wander outside. I thought they did a good job.

My mother lives at Vintage Suites. She is very happy with the facility. The care givers are kind. They have an activity director that tries to keep those who want to participate in activities and have interaction with others busy. They are not an Alzheimer facility but care for those with mild to moderate dementia. We drop in several times a week and at various times and always feel welcome there.
