My niece and I looked at Magnolia Gardens Assisted Living, and we liked their friendliness there. The landscaping around was very pretty. The gal during the tour was very helpful in answering all of our questions. We just felt very comfortable. If she didn't know the answer she said, "Let me get that for you." I talked to about three different residents there, and they were happy with it. I wasn't able to see any of the rooms at the time. One of the perks is they let you have pets, and I have a cat. It seemed friendly, homey, and very pleasant. All of us, my niece, nephew, and I, had a good feeling about it. The dining area had a lot of tables and chairs, and kind of had a railing around it, so it looked like it was not closed off. It was an open dining area, but it had kind of a rail around it to signify that was a dining area. It looked like they had machines over there for coffee. We just saw it as we walked by it. They gave us a paper that had different things on it. They had church services and they had walking things. It seemed like it had a good amount of stuff. They had exercise classes. We were impressed with everything that they had. They had a big activity room.

I'm grateful to Magnolia Gardens for providing a great place for my inlaws to live independently yet safely. The staff is friendly and caring, and one of the best things about Magnolia Gardens is that it's locally owned by a person who comes in and sees the folks who live and work there. It's not run by a faceless corporation who cares first about the bottom line and I appreciate that. The food is fresh and not prepackaged. The meals are small but seem very adequate for my inlaws, just not visitors (who can ask for seconds if they want to ). My mother in law loves having us come over to dine with them and we're always welcome, even when we don't give advance notice although it's preferred. There's a nice enclosed patio where they love to sit and enjoy the outdoors, and activities are pretty frequent. It's nice too that there's a memory care center attached to the place in case their mental conditions worsen. All in all, Magnolia Gardens has been a blessing!

We visited this facility with my grandma.she already has some friends living there so she was most interested in this facility. Our first impression was very positive. The facility looks very nice and welcoming from the outside. The staff here were all very friendly and were more than happy to answer any questions we had. Residents get their own apartments and for a little extra they can have someone come in and clean for them. The apartments were nicely decorated and clean. There were a couple of different options as far as rooms. You can get a studio to a two bedroom. There is a nice common area and a cafeteria area. Residents can get their meals, which is nice. My grandma liked what she saw and we were pretty pleased as well. My grandma ended up putting her name down on the wait list so when there is an available apartment, they will give her a call. It was a pleasant experience.

My Grandpa was a resident at Magnolia. He really didn't have any complaints about the place. He wasn't a complainer by nature, but if there was a problem, he would've said so. He really enjoyed the big window facing out into a beautiful meadow. He had a south-facing room. It's not a very big place so everybody seems to know everybody else. My Dad (the one who arranged his residency there) was very appreciative of the friendly, genuine staff. When I'd come to visit Grandpa, I never saw the staff standing around talking. They seemed to always be going about their business in a laid-back manner. I was always greeted with a pleasant, sincere smile. Again, the place was small enough that they knew everybody's name. If the halls and rooms were a more colorful and homey, I'd give 5 stars. But it's not a "luxury" place so that's fine. Christmas decorations were lovely with a big tree in the common area.
