I really liked Regency Park Place at Corvallis. My friend went in as assisted living, but it ended up that she didn't know who she was. She had to have full care, and they did that. They never complained, although they added about $2000 a month. It ended up at about $6000 a month when she required full care. They were good. A lot of people went down to the dining room to dine. There was not a whole lot of activities, but they had activities in the building. They also would take people in their van, get ice cream, and do stuff like that just to get people out. It was all assisted living; however, if you transitioned from assisted living to requiring full care, they were able to do that. The staff was always good. When you have a question, it doesn't just kind of sit somewhere. They address it. I never did try a meal. I saw some of them, and they were fine. It was institutional cooking. When my friend could still go to the dining room, she would eat pretty well and she was a food person, so it wasn't too bad. The facility was clean. They would go in and clean the people's rooms. I know my friend's room was always clean. It never looked grungy. Some activities were for all levels of cognitive skills, and some were for people that were still pretty sharp. I know assisted living is expensive, but my friend could afford it. The value to have a pleasant two and a half years of life there was worth every penny.

Regency Park Place at Corvallis was nice, and the food was good. The staff was very nice. They had a piano player while I was there.

Regency Park Place is absolutely gorgeous. When I toured with Jen she said that they had recently been through a remodel and everything looked and smelled really clean. The staff seemed happy to be there and really took pride in caring for those that live there. I really like how they are all on one level so there aren't any stairs to fall down and that also creates less confusion when walking around. The place is really open and inviting. The library there is really a plus since I like to read, and you can even have pets there! Each room has its own patio area that you can personalize and make seem more like home.

About this reviewer. My mother has lived here for two years. She previously lived in a local retirement lodge. We moved my wifes parents in eight months ago after living alone in their home. Their care levels are minimal. Ratings: Caring and friendliness of staff, 6 stars.( I know, but they all deserve 6). Cleanliness and odor free (Recently remodled), 5 stars. Food, when their head chief is present no better food around. Unfortunately she cannot work seven days a week so a 4 star there. Though my wife and I have never had a bad meal when we unexpectadly dropped in. This rating is only lowered because of what our parents say. Activities for various levels of care, 5 stars. Living quarters including bathroom size, shower access and storage of personal bathroom needs, 5 stars. When checking out other facilities you will understand why I've rated this facility a 5. Pricing, competitive. Feeling your loved ones are safe and secure 5 stars. Knowing there is no better facility or place to have your parents live and be cared for, priceless.

For the most part, the staff was very friendly and helpful to the residents. There is one day-time worker who is a very poor caregiver. He gets stressed out very easily and sometimes lets his anger/stress out by getting short tempered with residents and other employees. There are three meals offered each day, and if a resident couldn't/didn't want to come, they had a room tray delivered. The food was fairly good quality for an assisted living home. The staff seemed very rushed in the morning however and it made it hard for them to treat every resident with the complete care they deserve/pay for. There were activities for the residents to participate in almost every day. Administration is definitely over staffed for the amount of work that is needed from them. Lots of the administration sat around a lot of the day, not doing tons of work. There are four or five people on administration, when they could EASILY condense it into just two positions.
