We chose Hearthstone at Murrayhill, and mom just moved in Friday. It's a beautiful place, and she's really liking it so far. The staff is very caring, attentive, and it's like a big family. She told me this morning, "Delicious food, best breakfast ever." They have a beautiful outdoor courtyard with a water feature, landscaping, and a beautiful fall foliage right now. Her apartment has adequate space, high ceiling, everything brand new finishes when you move in, the carpet, the floor, they painted, everything is brand new. It's like moving into a new place.

My friend will be moving into Hearthstone at Murrayhill. The tour was very good and very thorough. They've got very nice floorplans. It's laid out very nicely. The amenities were pretty comprehensive. The facility was very clean, and the staff was very professional. My friend said the food was good.

I had an in-person tour of Hearthstone at Murrayhill. I didn't feel extremely welcome there. It was very kind of just bland. My first impression was that it was very dark and seemed kind of depressing there. The decor was very outdated. The lights were dim. It just didn't seem very welcoming and bright. The guy that gave us the tour was great. He was nice. The physical appearance just needs to be updated. It's in a suburban area, so there are places you can walk. They have a beautiful courtyard.

I liked that Hearthstone At Murrayhill was just two miles away from where my son's family lives. The bedrooms were much larger, which meant that this was the only place that could accommodate my 10 ft quilting machine. They let me talk to the residents, ask my questions to them, and had a meal. Of all of the places I visited, they presented themselves well. They were able to accommodate this huge sewing machine that I have. It was just an added plus for me. The other thing was they offered to take me to my church, and that was kind of a plus too. The person who toured me was very informative. He was new on the job there, but he was good and engaging. He made arrangements for me to talk to the residents, and he was sensitive to my needs, my likes, and dislikes. They also they changed up their menu frequently enough to help avoid having to eat the same thing every day. It was a friendly and accommodating place.

I toured Hearthstone at Murrayhill and was just impressed with the rooms, the apartments, and the views in the courtyard. They have a beautiful courtyard and have a nice beautiful library overlooking the lobby. They have a big veranda that goes out over the front. Their public areas were nice. We thought our mom would feel most comfortable in that setting. It was not too resort-like, but very updated and modern and welcoming. They seem to care and were very friendly. The staff, Andrew, was very attentive, professional, and he answered all questions. He's patient and had compassion for the elderly. They looked great, lots of games and visiting entertainment. It's all hard right now because they can't do what they used to do just yet.

My 93 year old mother lived at Hearthstone Assisted Living for six months before she passed away. The care she received was truly exceptional. The facility is gorgeous, but it's the quality of the staff that makes the difference and indicates excellent management. I was able to spend quality time with my mom on a daily basis and never had to worry about whether her needs were being met because they always were. This kept me from worrying. Staff always responded quickly to the call button, no matter the time of day. Everyone was patient and respectful of my mother, even as her health declined. They really tried to follow her wishes. When she needed increased services they were always provided. If I had questions they were answered cheerfully. It was obvious that Hearthstone treats their employees well and is adequately staffed - and that's not true everywhere. Morale seemed excellent. I feel truly grateful for the way Hearthstone supported our family. I know the waiting list can be long, but well worth it. I have absolutely nothing but praise to share.

My mother has been at Hearthstone for 11 years. The facility is immaculate and well laid out. The staff is friendly, helpful and genuinely caring. Recently, the food quality has exceeded everything in the past. My mother's appetite has returned. Her friends and family are anxious to return for another delicious meal. Keep up the great work, our entire family is most appreciative. Ed Tweeddale

We placed my father at Hearthstone, and he's quite content there. They've done a wonderful job for him. I liked that everybody was friendly when we first saw the place. It's a Christian community, they do a lot for veterans, and they have little veterans ceremonies for everybody. They have a nursing staff to help dad take his meds. They've allowed him to live independently, but they encourage him to do the things he needs to do so he can live independently. I eat there three to four times a week, and on weekends he sometimes comes home and spends them with me. I love the staff, they know everybody by name, they take the time to talk to you, and they're very engaging.

We had a tour at Hearthstone at Murrayhill. It was very good. Everybody seemed to be friendly with everybody else. The apartment was very nice and it was kind of what we expected. One part was used mostly as a sitting room and the other bedroom had a bed in it and dresser. The grounds were beautiful. They had gorgeous, gorgeous gardens and pathways. The dining area was beautiful, all set up and ready to go for the next meal. It was beautiful.

Hearthstone At Murrayhill has a good sense of community. They have a different set up than some of the places we looked at. They are more focused on the people. They have church services and a daily morning devotion. They also have music and art classes. They have a lot of activities to keep the community involved with each other. They also brought speakers in. I am very impressed.

Hearthstone staff and director has been so wonderful. I wanted to make sure my father would get the respect and safe handling that he needs. When he first moved in he was very confused and I appreciated the manager and director coming and talking to him. They even gave him a resident ambassador card, that was very sweet. Thank you so very much.

Hearthstone at Murrayhill seemed to be decorated in the 50s style in a residential neighborhood. It was very inward look focused, not focused out in the community, but focused inward on the people. The staff did not seem as sharp or interested as other places. It seemed to be populated by older people who were pretty limited in their activities and their ability to get around. We did eat there, and the meals were not especially interesting, not particularly well prepared, and very basic. They had simple, basic rooms. It was for older people who were not very alert and involved. It's down in a hollow with no view. Everything was just facing inwards. It's not for us.

We value the fact that they are concerned and caring. They are conscientious about safety. They keep me informed of changes. I get to see my husband every day. It has been very nice. They have a great staff and take excellent care of him.

Hearthstone was a family business. The family works at the facility and the owner lives in the area. It was very beautiful but the problem is affordability. I just couldn?t afford it. There is a wide arrangement of activities. They do not have a pool but they have a shuttle that if they take to shopping or they will take you to your doctor appointments and they will take you to church if you want to and other activities. They have musicians, they have choirs at different times of the year. They have a bean-bag baseball and they have card games. They have different people doing crafts. They have volunteer opportunities for people to take part in. That would be working in their little store, whatever. Meals there were good. It was a good experience and lovely people showed us around. The rooms had nice square footage. The prices for me, personally, were beyond what I can afford. The 4 is because of the cost.

The most striking thing about this residence is the Staffers, From the GM to janitor, is their attitude. They always have a smile, and time to say hello and talk to you. Any type of problem we have, we only have to call the front desk and it is taken care of immediately. The food is excellant and we can eat in a beautiful dining room, or have our meals delivered to our room. Evereytime our daughter comes over, we thank her for finding this place. All the places we looked at we were terribly disspointed in. This is a progressive living facility, residential, to assisted living, to dementia. We are both 80 years old and plan on spending the rest of our lives here. We have four children and they are all impressed with how we live now, with a registered nurse on site and knowing there is someone to look after us. Three cheers for Hearthstone Murray Hill

I have a friend that goes to my church in Beaverton that works at Hearthstone and I have visited over there. The place is beautiful. It's a 5-star place as far as being nice, but to live there would cost me a lot of money and I don't want to spend all my money. They got everything that you can imagine there. It's just really, really, really nice. The staff are great and terrific. They are all wonderful, nice, friendly, helpful people. I can't say enough good stuff about them. All that I have met over there is top of the line.

My Mom lives at Hearthstone at Murrayhill and we both love it. The facility is beautiful, looks like new and is really well maintained. The courtyards and landscaping are beautiful and the memory care wing has a really cool miniature train garden. The staff are friendly and caring and I haven't experienced anything negative at all. In fact, the food is so good, that many of the residents' families come there for holiday meals! I also appreciate the attention to detail over my Mother's medications and how carefully they follow any changes made by her doctors. I highly recommend it!

I love Hearthstone at Murrayhill. I have toured many assisted living and memory care facilities over the years because both of my parents required care. I wish that they could have lived at Hearthstone at Murrayhill but we found that they needed to live in Salem, Oregon. My tour of Hearthstone at Murrayhill (and many other visits subsequently) has shown me that the staff is bright and caring - that there are always many events and activities to participate in - and that the facilities are kept clean and comfortable. I highly recommend taking a tour so you can see for yourself - or just stop in to say hello. You won't be disappointed.
