My parents stay at Mennonite Village. They already lived in the independent living there, so they just got transferred into the assisted living. Our overall experience has been great. Everything was easy. My parents already lived in that community in the independent living, so it was easy to transfer over to the assisted living side. Although I have not had it yet, my parents' feedback about the food is good. The facility is really great. Right now, they are on a lockdown due to COVID, so there is not a lot of activity, just the standard things. They have a shuttle service, they have puzzle room and crafts, and they have a garden area. They are doing a great job.

Mennonite Village's location would have been ideal for us, that's what we liked the best about the place. What we liked the least was they don't offer 1-bedrooms to anybody unless they already currently live in the facility. So my dad wouldn't have been able to be on the waiting list to get a 1-bedroom, and that kind of eliminated the place in his mind. Other than that, it's a nice place and they had a beautiful garden area. The people seemed very nice, and the staff who gave the tour was very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. They had everything everybody else had, including an extensive garden area so that people could do gardening if they wanted to. And because it's located with two other sections like duplexes and whatnot, there's a bigger area for people to maneuver around. They're not just locked to a building. The facility seemed very nice when we went in. It's in a residential neighborhood kind of area.

I did not care for Mennonite Village. The hallways were too narrow and dark. The communal living area was too small. The tour guide was inexperienced. She was very new. I did not see any of residents. I did not see any activities, and for me, that's not a good sign. I was only shown a studio because there's just a small wall between the bed area and the living area and a kitchen. It was too small for me. That's not what I was looking for. I would give the facilities a rating of five because that was only one small part of the whole area. The staff drove us all around the whole campus, and the rest of the campus looked very nice. I would have liked to see any recreation area like a game room. She did not show me a hair salon or a general area where people can gather. There were not enough amenities.

We are going to move into Mennonite Village this February. We liked the courtesy of the people and the cleanliness of the apartment. The apartment seemed to fit us just perfectly, and the staff seemed very professional. It has everything that everyone else has and maybe more. The rooms were very clean. Anything that was wrong, they were replacing or repairing. They had on staff maintenance person all the time to do the repairs and keep the kitchen looking like it had brand new cabinets. Everything was really very nice to move into.

My husband and I have lived in independent living for over two years now. Our home has ample room, lots of sun and is nicely designed for easy living. The staff is excellent. Residents are encouraged to know the staff by name and they know us by name. If I submit a request for help with almost any problem, it is answered promptly and if something doesn't work, it gets fixed. We do all kind of physical exercise, both staffed and in the gym, my husband has a painting group, there is a book club, game gatherings, dinners - we can't do everything we would like to do because there is so much to do. We are so grateful to live here.

Mennonite Village was awesome. It's spotless. They had lots of wonderful help and caring people. Everything about it was amazing. It's a very beautiful facility. We have friends that live there. They have independent living, assisted living, nursing care, and three stages of memory care. The food was very good and you can order whatever you like off the menu. It's about 300 acres with 700 people. They have all kinds of facilities for recreation and all different stages of care. I would recommend it to anybody no matter what stage of life they're in.

My parents have been in Mennonite Village for 17 years now. It has independent living homes, assisted living, and nursing home as well as memory care. My mom and dad live in an independent place. It's very well run. The people that work there are very nice. The facilities are in good shape. I would highly recommend it to someone who wants to live in that area. I think it's good value for the money.

Mennonite Village was very nice. We got to see four different residences, one of which was a very small, little 1-bedroom, 1-bath apartment that was not going to be adequate for our needs and a 2-bedroom, 2-bath, which was very nice and in the process of being completely renovated with new cabinets and flooring. It's going to be absolutely stunning when they are done. Another place was a nice, brand new home which was 2-bedroom, 2-baths, with a large living room, a nice kitchen, and a laundry facility. The other place they showed us was a smaller duplex, which was also very nice. They have beautiful gardens, yard, landscaping, and walking paths. There's a chapel right there on the grounds, and they had an exercise room. They also had a place for RV parking. They have an activities schedule every day, they send out a little calendar so you can plan your day, and they also have a bus that takes you to outings.

We went to and really liked Mennonite Village. It had a good activities center and memory care. The lake and trees made it very inviting.

Mennonite Village was comfortable and homey. We felt like the campus was too compact. I know they have activities, but we didn't see any.

Mennonite Village has been excellent. It tailors the needs to fit what the doctor is prescribing on a monthly basis. The caregiver is very compassionate and competent. The food is fixed very well, they still able to do a fair amount of functions. They help him shop and fixed their meals.

I have seen some of the homes at Mennonite Village, and they were very nice and well-kept but very expensive. They have a nursing facility and also homes that you can buy, but when you no longer have use for the house, your heirs cannot sell it. It automatically goes back to the Village. The nursing facility is like a hospital and has the same smell as a hospital. They have long-term residents and short-term residents. It was not a pleasant visit.

Mennonite Home is a wonderful facility. I have first hand experience with them as my family member was a resident there in the rehab hall for 2 months. In that time I learned the employees truly love these residents and care deeply for them. They also care about you as the family of a loved one going through a tough time. They will take time to make sure you are doing okay and talk to you about the residents day and progress, tell funny stories about their encounter with your resident, as well as get to know you and the resident better. It's a very comfortable environment. Doesn't matter where you come from or your beliefs at Mennonite Home they treat you like family. Only thing that could be undesirable about this facility is the shared rooms. For us this was a good thing because it was someone to keep her company while we were not able to be there. Great staff, appears to be ran very well and a gorgeous campus!

My mom is in Mennonite Village right now. It seems to be an upbeat, positive place. The rooms are really small. It would be nice if they had their phone system so that the occupants could call long distance out from there. They said they have to have a calling card, but when the person is 95, it’s hard to make contact sometimes.

We visited Mennonite Village. It has independent as well as assisted living. They even have some areas for memory care. The place was older. It just was not as nice a community, and it just did not appeal to us particularly compared to the other facility. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't visit a room. We were a drop-in, and it's like they weren't prepared to receive us. The residents that we saw seemed happy. The place seemed pretty well occupied.

Mennonite Village was very nice. It was open to everybody regardless of faith. The price was also within my budget. It was a very big complex. They had a lake at the place, and it had a nice view. They had everything from memory care to assisted living apartments to individual homes. Some places call them cottages, but these were smaller homes and they had garages.

We stayed at Mennonite Village because they had everything that we needed. All the steps that we needed were here. My wife and I had our own home and did our own cooking. They did the gardening. The staff were very accommodating and the food was very good. They had a bus that took you wherever you wanted to go. I would very much recommend it to others.

I am an in-home care provider for the elderly. As with previous jobs, the lovely people I was working for decided that the time had come to move into a residential situation with a higher level of care. I was sad to see them go but fully understood the decision. These people had been fully ambulatory and active members of their church community until an aneurysm left the husband in a nearly vegetative state. Their church was very helpful in assisting us with caring for him but soon afterward, possibly due to sadness or stress, the wife began to decline in health as well. Mennonite Village was suggested by several members of their parish who came to visit. Not only would their physical needs be met, but their spiritual devotion and way of life could be upheld. In the process of moving them over to a lovely apartment in Quail Run I was able to interact with several members of the staff who would now be caring for them. Each of them, from the nurses to the household staff, were eager to consult with me about the specifics of their day to day living to make the transition as seamless as possible. I have never encountered this before. Meal preferences, housekeeping habits, prayer schedules and general day to day living was inquired about. I had been caring for them daily, for over a year, and truly believe that Mennonite village and their staff will uphold my former client's dignity and quality of life. The approach at this facility is very faith based, although they will provide care to persons of any belief. The apartment looked new and perfectly clean. There was a small leak in the kitchenette sink that we were assured would be taken care of immediately, and it was. The grounds around Quail Run were pretty and well manicured. I'm sure that come spring the sitting and prayer gardens will be full of beautiful flowers. Some of the homes in the independent living portion of Mennonite Village seemed run down and less taken care of, though I suppose that could be more of a reflection of the people living in them then the facility itself. I am giving Mennonite Village four stars because of the quality of the apartments, attention to detail when it comes to care, accessibility to services and prayer meetings for religious residents, and the generally happy faces of the other residents I met during my short transitional time there. I did not do much research into social or wellness programs as my clients did not seem interested in these, but I was told that there are several very active senior groups in residence and that they enjoyed a wide variety of activities.

The Mennonite Village has been running for 60 plus years. I recently visited my Grandmother who lives in the full care home. The campus is split into assisted-care and a full care nursing home. Many of the homes are like cottages and purchased by the residents. They have call buttons in their homes they can push if they need assistance. The grounds are kept up by a large maintenance crew. All the shrubs and trees are pruned to the finest detail. Thousands of beautiful flowers are also on the menu for your eyes to feast on. You will find beautiful fountains running throughout the grounds on the campus also. The campus is split into two sides, Quail Run and Mennonite Home. Both have dining areas for all residents. They serve 3 meals per day for residents and visitors at set times throughout the day. They also have a traditional restaurant on the Mennonite home side where you can get food to order, like any other restaurant. The staff are super friendly and well qualified. From food to a hair salon they really have it all!

I employed the in-home service of the facility for my Great Aunts care. They were very dependable and well trained to take care of my Aunt. I have also visited several residents of the Village in various stages of their living arrangements. They offer many wonderful events and a beautiful complex. You can tell employees love their jobs. I also had a mother in a facility for Memory Care in Albany. Timberwood Memory Care Center.

Although my dad was dying of congestive heart failure, he did not deserve to be neglected during the evening shifts. for example, hen he was finished in the bathroom (he needed to be hoisted out of bed) and needed to get back to bed, he was screaming for the nurses to come back and help him. I found the same nurses in the hallways having wheelchair races with each other, not tending to their patients. When my dad was choking from the water build-up in his lungs, my brother and I ran down the hallway looking for a doctor or nurse. A doctor and two nurses were sitting in a room. The young, blonde doctor was taking her time getting her stethoscope from a drawer then casually walking to his room. We yelled at her to start running but she began flirting with us while she walked slowly. When we got to the room, my dad was several shades of purple and almost near death. After the doctor removed nearly 1 quart of water from his lungs, she told us later that she really thought my brother and I were hitting on her and that we just wanted to get her out into the hallways to talk with her. What kind of place are they running there after hours when no administrators are present? Assisted living? Transcendental death? Certainly not good doctor and nursing care!
