I toured Bonaventure of Albany. It was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and nice, and they kept in contact with us for quite a while after the tour. It's a beautiful building. The rooms were small, but they were nice.

Our tour at Bonaventure of Albany was very nice. At the time, they didn't have assisted living open, they just had independent living open. The location of it was far, it's across the river from the rest of Albany, so it's a hard location to get to during traffic time. We toured a room that was not ready to be shown yet which was kind of a disaster. It was just obvious that whoever had lived there should have been in assisted living, and they were in independent living when they couldn't take care of themselves. So that kind of swayed my opinion a little bit. The staff that we met there was good. I didn't try the food but my dad did, and he was impressed. They seem to have more to offer than anybody. Their activity room included a workbench and tools, a crafting area, a more extensive gardening area, and that kind of thing. I think they had everything that everybody else had too, like a hair salon and a theater room. They just had a little bit extra so I'd say that was better.

We had a really good tour experience at Bonaventure of Albany. We actually went there twice. My brother and I checked it out first and then we took dad to see it as well. The community seemed really nice. They had a nice big theater room and a cafe on top of two different dining rooms. They had outdoor areas and the people we met all seemed friendly. The lady who toured us twice was very nice, very informative, and very helpful. The apartments were nice and spacious, too. The place was clean and well cared for. We got to see the activities calendar and they had a lot of things planned.

We saw Bonaventure of Albany. We liked that one a lot, but it doesn't take Medicaid when the money runs out. My dad only has like two years left of self-pay, and then he would have had to find a place that would take him. Initially, they want you to be there for at least a year or two before you go on to it, and that is the only reason why we didn't take that one. The staff was very knowledgeable and very helpful, but she did not disclose to us until after we'd written her a check deposit about the Medicaid, and that was when we had to back out. The place was very clean. There were lots and lots of activities. There were lots of employees. They had employees that have been there for 15 plus years, and they did not have a shortage of people there to help.

Bonaventure of Albany looked amazing. They had a lot of activities and the place was very bright and welcoming. I would have wanted my mom to go there, but the price was a little bit out of my range. The staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. They provided all the information I could have wanted, and so they were very well-prepared. They had literature ready, and they even gave me more specific pricing on a particular room that was available. They had this amazing Christmas Village made out of bottles that they were in the process of making for months. They also have outings and all kinds of things to do there, including a library. The activities director was very energetic and looked like she really enjoyed her job.

We're in Bonaventure of Albany. The food was really good. The chef has changed, and it's all right. It's not quite as good as it was. It's really large. It's really large rooms with big windows, and there's central heating and cooling (that's good with the heat). There's a call button that we can get the staff here, but sometimes it takes longer. The staff is generally very helpful.

Not a good enough place for a dog or a cat, especially not for somebody you care about. There’s no housekeeping services. We were fooled to move in during a pandemic shutdown into what was available in Assisted Living., we wanted memory care, and now there is a third pandemic shut down. High staff turnover, from the top down. Meals never come when promised, Not a single caregiver is licensed not any of the care plan is followed. The meds by 2 of the med aids for meds seem to be followed. In almost one year only three or four staff in the whole building are the same and two lead staff. Never invited to an activity, taken for a walk or showered. Horrible. The best thing about Albany Bonaventure is how with fake cheer they answer the phone. The room is too small for a wheelchair, the ugly floor NEVER clean. Some staff are rude and arrogant. They allow smoking on campus and there are very few non-smoking employees. There is a beauty shop with the only consistently quality caring. Don’t let anyone you care about live here.

I took a tour of Bonaventure of Albany for my mother. I was supposed to visit the memory care, but they actually took me into the assisted living. It just didn't work out too well because I didn't feel that they really listened to my mom's needs when I was explaining her situation. I wasn't really impressed and decided that I'd go somewhere else. The facility seemed nice. The staff seemed nice, but that's about all I can say. The person that gave me the tour was very pleasant, but they just didn't seem like they were really paying a lot of attention to what I was trying to explain to them about the type of needs that mom had. I did see a room, and I saw a very nice apartment that was up on the top floor. They have a salon. They have wine and cheese. They have bingo, and they have plenty of activities there.

We found Bonaventure of Albany for mom, and she has already moved in last month. It's very nice and very clean. Everyone is really nice, and my mom is very comfortable. She said the food is good. They have a salon, a movie theater, a pool table, and a big room with lots of games. They have gathering places, such as kitchen areas, game places set up all around, and puzzles; however there is no gathering with COVID. They have church on Sunday. They have bingo. They just had a mother-daughter tea for Mother's day.

I can only offer CAUTION with this facility. My family member lived in the Assisted Living portion for 12 months in 2018. In that time, we constantly had issues with her care, her medications not being handled correctly, staff lying to cover up mistakes, and the final issue, medications disappearing. Corporate management was awful. Food issues. Do not be fooled by the appearance of this facility. It is beautiful, but what happened inside is anything but.

My mom moved to Bonaventure of Albany. We chose it because it's a smaller complex and they seem to have enough staff. It seems better for us because it's also closer to home. The staff has been really good. She's in a one-bedroom apartment, it was unfurnished so we had to furnish it ourselves. The food is good and the dining area is nice. It's a nice facility and has nice landscapes, but they're also not the cheapest.

Bonaventure of Albany is the best place there is around. It's fantastic. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Communication has been better there than it was with the hospital. My mother-in-law has only been there for a little bit, so I'm really not familiar with everything as far as activities go, but they have a lot of them. They have an outdoor area, an indoor area, a library, and different kinds of things, more so than any of the other places have.

My parents moved in to the assisted care side of the building about 3 months ago and have really enjoyed their time there. The turnover in the past three months with care coordinators has been hard on my end, but I have noticed their head assistant manager making such tremendous strides to help the staff and make sure my requests are followed. All in all, the building is beautiful, their apartment is the perfect size, and the staff is great with my parents.

My mom lives in the assisted living and has for 6 months or so. The staff are great with her and always friendly when I stop in. The management has been good at making fun events and parties like the mother's day event and easter. Food was a concern when my mom first moved in.. but things have improved a lot where my family comes over for dinner now and love the quality.

Bonaventure of Albany's rooms were beautiful, gorgeous, and well-equipped and had nice restroom facilities. We weren't too impressed with the food quality, and my husband even said he'll starve to death if that was all they're ever going to feed him. They had a little library, exercise room, and a game room, which were very nice. The interaction we had was very cordial. The place was clean and well-maintained.

We visited Bonaventure about a month and half ago. The day we were there, they were having a barbeque, and it was very good. They were all very nice. The staff showed us through the entire facility. I thought it was very nice.

Bonaventure of Albany was a little too fancy for what we were looking for, but it was very nice. The rooms are really nice, and they have 1- and 2-bedrooms and a studio. They have plenty of rooms, nice closets and kitchens, and some of them have balconies. It had everything including a big theater room. It looked like it would be a really nice facility.

I love it here. I moved in when they first opened. The staff are amazing and I receive great care. The food is so good, and there are so many options. It really is like being at a restaurant. We have lots to do here, and the bus keeps us busy with trips too. I would recommend everyone to move in.

Bonaventure of Albany is brand new and just opened in December. It has very friendly staff and people, which was the biggest thing. You can go to independent living to assisted living to final days care all within one building; you do not have to move. The staff is excellent. No one else has occupied my father-in-law's room because it's totally brand new and clean and very well-priced. The location is very nice along the Willamette River. It's safer than a lot of communities in this area. We actually had a couple of reserved cops help us move in because they have a little moving service. They have bus trips and a shuttle that will take you 20 miles to your doctor. They have a movie theater and a lounge, happy hours on Thursday nights, and social activities.
