I went to Brookdale Shawnee to visit a relative. She was very happy there. The food looked good and they tried to have balanced meals for them. They have activities which include making little things like sewing up dolls for hospital patients and bingo. The staff evidently is very good about taking care of her and there's been no complaints from her.

I went to Brookdale Shawnee Oklahoma, but cost-wise, that was not going to work for us. The facilities seemed very nice and the staff was very nice as well. The rooms were very nice, easily accessible, and accommodating to the tenants. They just showed us the garden area where they could go outside, but I did not see any activities or anything like that, that was being done. The building has a bright and cheery atmosphere.

Brookdale Shawnee is very nice and very quiet. They have three different levels of rooms or room sizes. They are put together very nicely. Everyone there was very helpful. I talked to a couple of the residents there, and they had nothing but good things to say. They do a regular bingo and then a song bingo where they do it with music. They also have a beauty salon, and the lady comes out on Wednesdays. They have a courtyard where the residents can go out and plant flowers or vegetables. They have raised beds. They have a common area where they have puzzles, board games, and anything that they would want to play there. They also have an area where you can rent if you want to have a birthday party that will accommodate everyone. The facility was very well maintained. Everything was very neat and tidy.

We visited Brookdale Shawnee, loved it, and would recommend it, but my mom's finances just wouldn't allow her to live in assisted living. I would recommend it to anyone that can afford it. I liked the atmosphere and the staff. It was clean, which was very important to us. The amenities and just the whole thing were more home-like, as opposed to a nursing home. It was not really an apartment, but it gives you that feel. She could have her pet, which is a big plus, because she's really missing her pet right now.

I did an in-person tour of Brookdale Shawnee. It was good. I'd been there a few times when my siblings have had piano recitals there. The room I saw was nice and spacious. It looked like it would meet my father-in-law's needs. It was in good shape and had fresh paint. The staff was helpful. I only saw one lady, but she answered all my questions and let me take pictures to share with other family members. With the lockdown, I wasn't able to do anything other than be in that one room. The dining area was nice, and I had seen it in the past. I don't know anything about their food. They've got an activity coordinator. It's not as big or had as many offerings as the others did, but it was very nice for a smaller facility.

Brookdale Shawnee was pretty nice. They weren't able to show us a room because they were all full, but they showed us the eating area and the little garden area in the middle. They have a separate dining area for if you want to have family there to dine separately. They have some activities for the seniors.

I recommend Brookdale for your loved one. I am very happy my grandmother lives there. It's is more affordable than all other facilities I considered and the staff is truly compassionate and caring. The activities director goes above and beyond for the residents. I believe she truly loves them and wants to bring as much joy as she can to their lives. Not only am I happy with Brookdale but most importantly my grandmother is happy to be there. Check it out. You'll be glad you did!

Brookdale Shawnee was nice and clean. The staff was friendly, gave us a tour, and served us a good lunch. The dining room was right next to the living room. It was all nice, but I wasn't that interested. I was just checking it out. The staff was nice.

Everything at Brookdale was wonderful. Everybody was very friendly and very welcoming. The whole facility, all of the people, the rooms, and the food were great. Everything was clean and big enough. They had three differently sized rooms, and my mother chose the middle one. They had activities like exercise and current event discussions. The dining room was very nice.

Sterling House of Shawnee is close to us so that we are able to visit my grandmother quite often. We chose this facility because of it's price and it's location. The place just took some new renovations, so it is very up-to-date. It is very nice. People working there are very friendly and very caring. Everything seems to be really well so far. They could probably continue to update their facility as there are newer ones in the area, but they are more expensive.

when I entered Sterling House I noticed that it had a very warm, homey feeling. It had a very fresh clean smell, it was not a nursing home. I was greeted at the door and treated like family. Some of the residents spoke to me as I walked through the community and told me how much they liked their home there. It made me think that I want my mom to be this happy. But I found out they have no openings, I can see why. My mom is on their waiting list.

I have been impressed with Sterling House. They seem to be a good place to live. My grandfather has never complained about the facilities or the staff, which is somewhat remarkable because he can be pretty grumpy. He has lived there for several years now of his own choosing. I had assumed this was just another nursing home but it is actually a fairly nice retirement center. The staff has always been nice, friendly and helpful. His room is on the smallish size but is well furnished and kept clean. The only thing I have a complaint about is the grounds. My grandfather has always had a farm and plenty of land. He would take early morning walks around the place but he can't do that here. The center is in the middle of town and has limited outdoor space. The other residents are for the most part friendly and polite and my grandfather has made several friends here. All in all I would give this facility two thumb up.
