My mother did rehab at Ascension Living Via Christi Village - Ponca City. It was very clean. Everyone was very concerned about her health concerns. She had great results with the physical therapy. She said that the food was very good. Her room was fairly large, very well equipped, and clean. She said everyone was very nice and very concerned, making sure she got quality care. I very likely would recommend this facility.

The staff at Ascension Living Via Christi Village-Ponca City is wonderful. We really enjoyed meeting the people there. It's just that their independent living is totally separate from the main building (where the dining room and all of the amenities are), so you would have to walk to dinner through cold or hot weather. They have some exercise classes and a bus that'll take you to Walmart or your doctor's appointments, if you need to. They have a nice enough menu. You would have choices between three to four different things; that was nice. Their facility is so old. The kitchens, the bathrooms, and even the baseboards looked more like a commercial building than a home. Their little apartments are very unwelcoming. They haven't kept up with any kind of modern upgrades or anything.

Ascension Living Via Christi Village - Ponca City was a very nice facility. The staff met me on a Saturday so that I could do a walkthrough and take a look at everything. She showed me a one-bedroom apartment for my mom because it was assisted living. It was very clean and very convenient. They have restaurant dining three times a day, activities, and outings. They provide a lot of amenities that would really help alleviate some stressful thoughts of my family. They offer transportation to and from physical therapy and appointments that are local. They do all the ordering of medications and upkeep of them, so if they're running low they order more. They coordinate with doctors and others to make sure that they're getting the correct care that they need. There's a nurse on-staff 24 hours a day. Those were the highlights that were nice for me. They do housekeeping once a week. They're allowed to do their own laundry if they like, but they also provide laundry twice a week, and they change their beddings and everything. The facility looked very appealing and welcoming. The staff was very kind, answered all my questions, and even gave me other options to look at. She was exceptional. I saw some residents eating, and it looked very appetizing. They offer an array of menus. They have a weekly menu that they provide for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but if they don't like any of those things, they have alternatives like hamburgers, chicken, or salads. It's not like they have to eat whatever is provided. They make sure that they still have nutritious meals.

Westminster Village had a large place for people to sit around and visit with very comfortable seats and couches. The apartment that I went to was just a one-bedroom. It had a full bedroom, and a combination of a living room and a kitchenette. The food was good. They had different patios in different areas in the back. I thought their parking lot was too far from the building.
