My mother-in-law was at Legend at Rivendell. She passed away three weeks ago, but she was happy there. It was nice, and it fit our needs. I would recommend them 200%. My mother-in-law was in their memory care. The last day I visited her, they had a luau, and I got her on video singing with a singer playing the piano and smiling. And that was four days before she passed away. They treated us like family. And everybody, from the maintenance guys to the head nurse, just treated us like we've been there for years, and we were only there maybe six weeks. I ate their food, and it was good. The building was well maintained, inside and out. I didn't see anything out of place. They give them pool noodles and they have balloons and then the residents would hit the balloons back and forth. And then they had a motorized seal that moved. It's like a stuffed seal, but it made noises and stuff, and they just loved that. They did the luau. They had everybody there and had pineapple drinks and little umbrellas. And it was nice. Everybody was cheerful. When you went into the building, you had to sign in, and then they would page down one of the halls that the resident resides in. Then they would open the door for you to come in, and everybody was just friendly. When we first brought my mother-in-law there, the Olympics were going on, so everything was decorated in the Olympics stuff, and they would have Olympic Games for them.

Finding that unique combination of physical setting and specialized care is a journey traveled by many families. The Reflections Program At Reflections, our trained staff works closely with family members and friends to assemble a "Life History" identifying the personal experiences of each resident's life. Through the "Life History," we get to know the personality behind the person, fostering a one-to-one association more like "friend to friend" rather than "staff to patient." Details and events from your loved one's past become "shared" memories and experiences serving as a foundation for activities, communication, and the development of friendships built on support, understanding and mutual respect. The staff at Legend at Rivendell was extremely friendly. The place was very nice and clean. I felt welcomed and at home when I toured it. It was very well decorated. The only thing that would be negative, was the fact that I didn't see a lot of the residents in the areas where I toured.

My tour of Legend at Rivendell was very pleasant. The lady who showed us around was kind. She was very happy to talk with us about their facilities and engaged with us about who my father was. She showed a personal interest in making sure that he had the best accommodation even to the point of saying this might not be the best fit for him because he sounds like he would fit more with independent living.

I toured Legend at Rivendell. I walk in the door and it's kind of ritzy, high-end. It's got a chandelier and everything's perfect. It was very clean, and it was like all the carpet was new and it was the nicest facility I saw. The staff were very, very nice and above and beyond accommodating. They have libraries and TV rooms, and in cases of severe weather, they had a tornado room where they could gather everybody in that one room because it was reinforced. They can all watch TV and stuff together in there. They also have the nicest restaurant cafeteria-type setting, with fancy napkins and the whole works.

My mom has moved into Legend Assisted Living at Rivendell. The nurses are attentive. They come when you call. They're very helpful and very nice. It's a very nice, clean place to be. My mom hadn't liked the food at any place she had been at, but she seems to like the food here. There's nothing included in the apartment, so you have to bring your own furniture. It's just the room itself that you get. I have not tried the food, but my mother eats three times a day there. However, they seemed to eat a lot of chicken, and my mom would like a little more beef than they served. For activities, they have a guy come in, and play the piano and entertain them. They have activities whether it's kickball, bingo, or movie day. They have two or three different activities every day. It's pretty expensive though. This is her third place to be, and the other places were cheaper, but she did not get the attention.

My dad is a resident at Legend at Rivendell. They were not taking care of him. There were times that they didn't come and get him to go eat. They would just basically leave him in his room to just sit there. They keep the facility fairly clean. They need to pay more attention to their residents. They need to be friendlier. They need to take care of the people like they're supposed to. My dad seems to get pretty good food when they come and get him. They have little places where they can go outside, like a garden area. They have a barbershop and a beauty shop. They need to have fewer residents in memory care, because they have too many. My dad had two guys come into his room one night and sleep there. He slept in his recliner because those people were confused. They don't know where their room is. They say that's normal, but that shouldn't be normal.

The Legend at Rivendell was really clean. The staff couldn't have been nicer and kept checking up on us. They have a really structured activity program and graduated care that we really like. The fact that my mom could be at one level and then at another level as the disease progresses would be great. It is expensive. The room is a 350 square foot studio apartment, but with just a bathroom. They have a community kitchen. One thing we really liked was that they had an enclosed outdoor area where people could go when they wanted to. They go to art museums. A doctor comes in once a week, which is great. The dining facilities are really nice with linen tablecloths and napkins. They have nice fireplaces throughout the building, which we love. The staff was perfect, patient, answered all the questions, and knowledgeable. I have a friend whose mom is in there, and she was saying the meals were fantastic. I went out there and watched what they were serving for dinner the other night, and it was great.

My mom has moved into Legend at Rivendell. We chose it because it's clean, and it has a home environment. It doesn't look like a nursing home, and it doesn't smell like one. The Monday through Friday staff are very knowledgeable and very capable, but on weekends, I don't know. There's a fireplace, and there are the poster chairs. It looks like a home. It's an environment that you want to be in. The dining area is not like a cafeteria, it has a restaurant feel to it. They have tables there, and there's a dining bar; you can choose to eat with people or not. They don't feed everybody the same thing. They've had some challenges with mom, and they've handled them very well. The food is as good as it's going to get. For whatever reason, nursing homes in the state give their clients a high glycemic menu; you can't tell me that everybody in there is not diabetic. But I rate the food a 5 because no one else complains about it.

We chose Legend at Rivendell for my parents. The employees all made eye contact and talked to us. They had a very nice menu. They have regular full, nice meals and lots of options. I feel like there's more staff watching and taking care of them. It was clean and didn't smell. Everything was very up to date. They have different activities, like putting flower arrangements together. They do that weekly and have the residents put all the bouquets together. They were the only ones that had a nice room for a married couple. They had a little divider, so you have a living room and a bedroom. They had vanities, which was nice. They have a bingo, exercise, and movie night forum on Fridays with popcorn. They start the mornings off with cookies because that helps with their smell and puts them in a good mood.

I went to Legend at Rivendell. It was great. It's a nice facility. It was clean, it was fresh smelling, it was attractive, and the people there seemed to be extremely pleasant. I have nothing but good to say about it. I haven't tried the food, but they have different functions going on sometimes, and I've attended those in the past, and the food has always been excellent. They have something going all day long every day. Exercises, like yesterday they were getting ready to go to Sonic to have cocktail hour at Sonic Drive-in, they play bingo, they play cards. You can be as busy as you want to be or not participate, it's your choice.

We loved Legend at Rivendell and we liked how the memory care can walk the hallways. It was like a square so when they turn around they'll eventually find their room. In the middle, there's a really pretty courtyard with features. And all the staff talked to us as we were walking around, and they interacted with each other. So we like that. The staff who gave the tour was very nice, very friendly and very informative. There was even a client there that they were helping at the time, and called them by name. We talked to her twice since we left, and she was trying to get it more feasible for us. The building was very nice, well kept, had pretty landscaping, a nice parking lot, and easy access. We had to wait for somebody to unlock the door, which is what we would have expected with the memory care.

My mother has been staying in the Legend at Rivendell for three weeks now. They have a welcoming, attentive, professional, and loving staff. We chose this place for her because the communication with the staff and the family is excellent, and the facility is beautiful, bright, and clean, and I like that my mom's needs are met. She's very happy there. The room that was available for us was small, so we're on a waiting list for a bigger room, but the room she currently has is clean and meets her needs for now. The dining area feels like a restaurant. It is very welcoming. There are lots of white tablecloths and the setting of the tables made the residents feel very special. The chef came out and met us too. I've seen him talking every day to the residents and they all love him. The food is high quality and nutritious.

Legend at Rivendell was impressive. Out of four places that we went to, this one was the one that we thought was the best for our mother. We're specifically looking for a place that can specialize in treating Alzheimer's, and we just felt like they did the best job with that. We like the way that they have it broken up into what they specialized in, rather than just breaking it up into memory care versus assisted living. They also broke it up into 3 different phases depending on severity. My mom would be in a community with other people that were on the same stage of the journey as her. That was one of the things that we really liked. It's also a very secure facility so the patients are not in danger of wandering off. The staff does monthly training on dementia. There was just a lot that they focused on, specifically dementia; that's what we were looking for. We didn't really witness it, but they showed us some of the activities that they had done and talked about some of them. More than the specific activities though, what we were really looking for is a place where they would keep our mother active because she may not necessarily be able to participate in organized activities (like doing crafts and things) because she's a little bit farther along. The thing that impressed us the most is that they said that from the time she gets up until the time she goes to bed, they would have her doing activities and being in the community. Just the interaction with people and the physical movement is what we were most pleased about. One of the things that we were most impressed with this facility is they have a doctor on staff. Whenever she needs medical care, they will call the doctor to her instead of us having to take her out to a doctor's appointment. That was a huge advantage, especially because we live two hours away from where she's going to be living.

My impression of Legend at Rivendell is that they are very focused on their residents and their comfort and their happiness. Their chef has been there for a very long time. He's focused on getting it right and making sure that they all have what they need and what they want and when they want it. That has been a big deal. The rooms are very small, but it's assisted living, so they're not cooking their meals or anything. The facility was very nice, and I like it. I think Mom would be very comfortable there. The staff seemed very caring and very attentive to the residents and their needs, and what they're all about. They seem to be meeting the needs and desires of their residents and making sure that they're comfortable and happy and also getting exercise. They have an exercise class every day, and I like that. They have a beauty salon, they have books, have puzzles, have entertainment, and have activities. I met the activities director and I like her. She was very informed, very intelligent, and very caring. The other thing about this facility is that it is very expensive. You can get a bigger room, but it is nearly $6000 a month, so it is very expensive.

My wife was at Legend at Rivendell. It was really good until COVID. It's in lockdown, so you can't see anybody. She was there from January until two weeks ago. The staff was great. They all took good care of my wife and they loved her. She loved them. It was all great. However, I didn't like the setting because I never could see her. They had 25 people in the section, and my wife had her own room. It was a private room. It was good as it could be. Food was OK. I would go there and eat with her before their lockdown, so it was OK. It was a very nice place. There was a young lady in there that kept them busy all the time doing activities.

I visited Legend at Rivendell. The nice thing about them is that they had separate buildings. They had 3 buildings for memory care, which were separated for what level of care they require. So, there is a 1, and a 2, and 3; if the people are just barely into it, so to speak they could be in a one. They do outings all the time with them. They get them in a bus, and they go shopping, or they go sightseeing or whatever. They had activity bars. I thought the residents were vivacious and happy, and having a good time. You would think that they were a part of the assisted living, not part of a memory care area. Unfortunately, my husband, at the time I was looking for a new place, he was already a 2, and he's more like a 3 now. So, he was not going to be going out on outings anymore, and their price was more than I can afford. It's over budget, but it was a nice place. I like their activities for their residents. They have single bedrooms. They have an exercise and activity room, they had other small rooms there for puzzles and drawings and things. Few of the residents could sit around the table and do things. They have broken them down to small groups, to do things, which is a good idea. They would feel more comfortable that way. It is so nice there and it is well kept, and they don't have stains on the rug.

Both my husband and my mom are at Rivendell in Oklahoma City. I like everything about it, it's superb. I didn't really want to move them, but we're running out of money. It's just beautiful. They take really good care of my family. My sister seems to like it too. We hate to have to move my mom and my husband, but we have to. They make these places so expensive. The staff takes extra care of my husband and my mom as well. The last time I was there the food was pretty good, but it has been a while since this COVID thing. I haven't been up there to eat with them but it's generally good. They have activities, they try to keep them busy, and they play games. The service is good up there.

Legend at Rivendell was a beautiful facility. They only had their two specialty rooms available and everything else was taken, which speaks pretty highly of their facility. The staff member was absolutely wonderful. They introduced themselves and talked to my aunt and encouraged her to come and move there. They would have assigned her a staff person for the first month to make sure that she had someone to walk her down to the meals and to encourage her to get out and participate in activities. They had beautiful courtyards. It's a quiet environment and they can age in place there. The dining area was very well laid out.

Legend at Rivendell was very nice. I'm a simple person and kind of a country kid, so I felt very out of place. It felt ritzy to me. It wasn't for me. The place was very nice and very clean. The shared room was small. There was just a cabinet to divide the room. The staff member who showed me around was very accommodating. She answered all our questions and showed us pretty much everything that there was to see. The food was very good too.

Legend at Rivendell is quiet and very well kept. It's a pretty place. Everybody is as friendly as they could be and takes really good care of my wife. I ate with her once and they have good food. They give small portions, and everybody there is slim and trim. They have somebody who does their nails. The day that she started, they took them all up for ice cream to celebrate a new resident coming. They go on scenic drives, they have a piano player that comes in, they do arts and crafts with them, and they have exercises. They keep them busy all day long. We're satisfied with them. The staff is really good. It's well kept, well lighted, up-to-date, and very clean.

Legend at Rivendell is a very nice community, very communicating, very open, receptive, personable, and they went the extra mile. My husband was going to get a higher level of care, which would've had a 24-hour LPN on-staff. They have the sliding barn doors instead of a standard door, and they have a smaller dining area for the people that have higher needs. It was a clean and nice facility.

My brother-in-law hs been in Legend Memory Care at Rivendell since April. It is very nice. The staff is very nice, very caring, and take really good care of him. They seem to serve very good food. They have shared apartments and some private rooms and have activities all of the time. They have a TV area where they can sit and watch movies. The dining room is set up like a nice restaurant with tablecloths and China. They have several sitting areas and an outside courtroom where the residents can go sit outside if they want and still be secured.

My father spent his last 7 months of life at Legend at Rivendell. My mother and I are very happy with the care he received. The attitude and spirit of the staff were supportive towards my father and family, and I am indebted to them for how special they made dad feel his last few months. My mother and I visited him often, and the staff always offered dinner to us, or whatever we needed. It just so happens my father required extra care, care my mother and I could not have handled at home, and the "yellow shirts", as I called them (nurse's aides) did a fine job, and each of them developed a relationship with dad. The administrative staff, including director, assistant director, nurses, etc., were supportive and always took any concern we had seriously, and acted upon our reasonable requests at critical times. In the end, their staff was very sorry to see my dad pass, because they liked him very much. I hope my comments are helpful to anyone wishing to visit for your own loved one's care.

We visited the Legend at Rivendell in the evening, around seven, and we didn't have the chance to interact with any of the residents. We only met with the person who gave us the tour, and she was friendly. We really liked the location and the facility because they were nice. The dining area was one of the more impressive parts of it. It was clean and made up to be more like a restaurant. They had tablecloths, and the dining facilities were also nice.

The Legend was very nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating. However, the price was very high and the rooms were very small.

My mom is now at Legend at Rivendell. The facility is extremely nice and they offer lots of activities. Her room is not that spacious but she doesn't really need a whole lot of room.

I can't say enough good things about the group of people that for our elders. My mom has dementia and the really understand the disease and don't make quick judgments about her because they know it's the disease. They have educated us as a family and helped us help out mom. I would have given 1000 stars if they were available!

The care he has received from Legend's has been unparalleled to any other center our father has been in. He is thriving and is more like himself than he has been since this disease began. It has meant the world to us since our family has had numerous unfortunate events during the past 18 months. In the beginning, he was unstable and many in the memory care facilities and medical community had basically written him off. He was unfairly labeled and was not given the care that he deserved. The Director at Legend at Rivendell found out what was really going on and address it so that he could improve and be more like his usual self. The Residence Director, Laura, was our earthly angel during a very dark and upsetting time in our family. Our family takes so much comfort in knowing he is being treated with the respect, courtesy and compassion that he deserves. This peace of mind is priceless for someone we care so deeply for. Dad is happier, has regained the dramatic weight loss he has experienced and is thriving in his new home. We are so thankful that he seems to be at peace and content with his new environment. The staff at Legends have been phenomenal. They have always been there to help us out, answer our questions and genuinely work with his medical team to ensure he is at his best. No other facility that he has been in has done that. We are extremely pleased with his progress, the staff, his medical team, his treatment plan and the care he has received since becoming part of the Legends Community. The social and family activities have been a wonderful opportunity for us to share in happy times with him. This disease is an extremely devastating one and like nothing we have ever experienced. The staff at Legend's is absolutely wonderful at having educational opportunities and talking with families to help cope during such difficult times. Thank each of you at Legends so much!

Legends at Rivendell is a beautiful facility incorporating features that provide for the comfort and safety of the residents. More importantly the staff creat a an atmosphere of family. They are friendly, caring, and cheerful in dealing with the residents. There are a multitude of activities available for any residents to participate. The food service is not only diverse in selection, but presented in a very pleasing dining atmosphere. My mother became a resident three weeks ago and loves being there. This gives me peace of mind and from my visits, I can see why she is enjoying her time there. She has expressed her satisfaction with the accomodations and the thoughtful and helpfulness of the staff.

My mother, my best friend and companion whom I miss every day! However, her caregivers at the Legend at Rivdendell were remarkable. Not only were they caregivers, but were very special to me and my brother during my mother's declining illness. The staff was very responsive and the facility was well managed with a very warm and inviting living environment. Since my mother's passing over a year ago, I know that I can walk in the doors of the Legend at Rivendell at any time and be welcomed with open arms, for these people became my extended family and were there for my mother and me during a very critical time. To date, I continue to recommend the facility to friends in need of caregiving for their loved ones. In summary, yes, I recommend the Legend at Rivdendell and their staff with 5 stars!
