I toured Acclaim Living. It's very light and airy. The people are very friendly. It's less expensive than the ones in Southern California. It's in a good location. The staff was very helpful, they are very friendly, and available to help you with whatever you need. The food is delicious. The rooms are a good size. They have laundromat facilities. They have a lot of games and activities for the people, and that's just really a good place. In the dining area there's enough seating for 100 people. It's very formal. The tablecloths and some China silverware are just really nice, also the flowers on the table.

Acclaim Living was very clean and very well laid out. The restaurant is open from 6:30 in the morning until 7:00 at night, and you can go in anytime and eat, I like being able to do that. They don't have restricted time. You can eat 12 hours during the day anytime you want to, which I really like. That was really nice. They have recreational facilities. They have an exercise room and a pool table. They have a community room. It was all very, very nice. There is one drawback for me with Acclaim Living and that is the location. Because it's on down around 122nd, the traffic is pretty bad in that area. There are a lot of apartments around there, so it's a crowded area. The facility itself is okay. It's all enclosed, but the only thing I would say that I don't care about is getting in and out of the place.

I like Acclaim Living. I thought the tour was amazing. I thought it was a very nice place. It was very well kept. They had a lot of activities for their residents. The lady was just really nice to me. The only problem that I had with it is I wanted a place that had an outside entry or a balcony, and they don't have either one of those. You have to come into the place, but I want to have my own outside entry. At the end of the tour, the chef made a lemon bar to take with me, and I ate it, and it was delicious. The food was amazing. They had like a woodworking shop if I wanted to do woodworking. I thought that was neat. They had a salon where I could get my hair done, and they had a little shop that the residents could control like they were the ones that work in this shop. It's like a little convenience store inside the community. They have a room set up for church, so they have a church service every Sunday. The staff I met was outstanding. She listened to me and answered every question. We're in a unique situation. Me and my best friends are trying to move in together. They're married and so there are three of us. And because they're not in the best of health, I'm going to be the caregiver. And the staff was able to let us know how much it would be for an additional person. She was outstanding. I love the girl that walked me through the whole place. Also, a lot of elderly retirement places smell like old people and this place was amazing, I didn't smell that at all. I felt like I was more in an upscale hotel because it was just very well-kept. I would live there if it had the things that I was looking for because I think it's a great place.

I went to Acclaim Living. The lady there showed me a one-bedroom with one-bath, and two bedrooms with two baths and it's very impressive. I was pleased with it. I think it's superb and very nice. The place was roomy and very big everywhere. The entertainment room, the kitchen, and the dining area all looked nice and clean. Then the lady told me about the rate and it was not bad at all. It's acceptable. So I was very pleased with everything I saw. The only thing about me looking for places is that I don't like to eat American food to this day. I have my own food. I eat organic food and healthy food and I don't want to gain weight. I eat Asian food because I am Asian and then the American food to this day is just not appealing to me. I asked, "Can I live in here without picking the food option?" And they said "No." I don't have to eat, but I still have to pay. So that's the only drawback. The staff was very nice. There are only a couple of people that I'm talking to, the receptionist and then the activity director who showed me around. They have a cooking class, and all of the people are very friendly and nice.

We moved my cousin into Acclaim Living and we are very happy with it. It's wonderful. We're very, very impressed. We've gone to see a couple of others, but when we went to Acclaim Living, it was just a whole different image right off the bat. It was cheerful and friendly. The staff is professional, but they're very loving. We haven't had any bad experiences with the staff and it just feels good. The residents there are very friendly, and several people have reached out to my cousin. It just says a lot to me if the residents are happy - that people are staying there because they like it. The food, I'd say about 75% of it, has been really good. We learned pretty quickly you don't want to go late because the main dish might be out, and then they kind of improvise in the back. But for the most part, the food is good. And if we get there early enough and get what they prepared, it's very good. The dining room staff is very nice and they seem very genuine. They have plenty of things to do, for sure. They have a Bridge Club and card clubs. When my cousin moved into her apartment, there were a couple of little items that needed attention. But when I mentioned it to the lady at the desk, she immediately got on it. She wrote out a work order and the maintenance guy came within 24 hours. And neither of these were emergencies, they were just little things. The reason we toured it when we were still searching was because they had the best price. They were running a special and that was a good special. I think $300 a month off for the whole time, and that's significant. And it was so much better than the ones that cost quite a bit more. They have an ambassador program. And what it is is someone who welcomes my cousin and sticks with her the first 100 days and just kind of makes sure that she connects and gets settled and understands how to get what she needs and what she wants. But here's the best thing - it's another resident; it's not a staff member. And it's this wonderful lady who has been there for a couple of years. She doesn't bug my cousin. She doesn't overdo it, but she's available. She came and met her on her first day and she's giving her a tour of the place today. They each use an electric cart to get around. It just really surprised me that they would do something like that. She reaches out to my cousin, but she doesn't impose. She's not up in her face all the time. I just think that's a wonderful idea because a lot of people that go into this situation, it's a life change and they might isolate themselves and they might not want to connect with anybody. I would put this one at the top of your list because I looked at about 4 others and it's steps above any of the other 3.

I went to look at Acclaim Living. The tour gal was great. The tour was fine until we got to the apartment. They were small. They didn't have central heat. The kitchen didn't have a stove. The dining area was pleasant. The entrance lobby was magnificent. It was kept up, polished, clean, and very beautiful.

I toured Acclaim Living. First of all, they're just so wonderful. They had a sign welcoming us to come in and do a walk-through with them. I think the girl's name was Olivia, and she was just so fabulous. She showed me the facilities, and they're lovely, and the dining room is lovely. They have so many activities that you can participate in. The rooms are rather nice, but they are like small apartments, and that's not what I'm looking for at this moment. But I'm very happy that I went there to see what's out there. It was great. I loved it. They did have two-bedroom apartments, but the second bedroom was just very small. I know everybody has to downsize, but the closet space, etc. to me is very small. They have trips to different restaurants and shows. They have an arts and crafts room, a movie theater where you can even bring your family. So it's rather lovely. They offer all your meals. You can go down to the restaurant and you can have anything you want until 6 p.m., which is wonderful. I would recommend it to somebody else.

We visited Acclaim Living. My mother didn't like the location because it was on a busy street, and she said there was no place to walk. Otherwise, it was a nice place. She liked the apartments. I saw a one-bedroom. It was nice sized, and the layout was good. The dining area was nice. The outdoors was nice.

I am moving into Acclaim Living. When I first went to visit the place, it just felt like home. I liked everything about it. They were very impressive. The staff was friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions. They had a sign at the reception area welcoming me and it was just wonderful. The food was very impressive as well. They gave us a menu and there were 2 choices on it. They had a soup bar, and you go over there to get your soup, but your meal was brought to you.

Everybody was nice. They showed me the bedrooms, the laundry room, the theater, the restaurant, the chapel, the weight room, and the patio. It was a very professional tour. The staff was very nice and informative. She explained to me all the different activities that they had going on, but the residents that I saw there weren't active enough for me.

We're looking at them for Mom. The people there just seemed happy. The staff is slow to respond, but when they do respond, they're very good. They have trips, gaming areas, and organized activities for the seniors. They have beautifully maintained common areas for them. The residents seemed active and very content. For those who aren't, they check on them. It was just a very excellent visit. They had everything. They have courtyards. I didn't go into the apartment myself. We went to several facilities, but this one, Mom just swooned over. She just fell in love with it. I went in and looked around and it just seemed like everybody was very content and happy. They were very accommodating. They were willing to negotiate how much Mom had to pay for the unit. They've bent over backward to help us. They seemed to struggle with staying on top of communications, but other than that, they are awesome.

It was very nice and clean. They had a nice dining area, workout area, craft area, and a big theater area. I just don't need all of that as of yet, but it was good to check it out and see what's out there. The staff was very friendly and very nice. She showed me a unit that had two bedrooms, which was what I was interested in.

My uncle moved into here. It seems very homey. They had a lot of activities going on. The people we met were very nice. Everybody's been very helpful. I saw a pool table, and they played cards. They provide three meals a day and even snacks. I like the idea that my uncle could go and get a snack whenever he wanted. It has only been a couple of weeks, but it's been great so far. I saw an exercise room. They have a barbershop and a movie room.

I had an in-person tour here. The people, residents, and the people who were in the office were friendly. My father knew a couple of people there, and he had visited some people there before, so he chose and liked it. The director was nice, everybody was nice, and it fit his needs. It didn't smell; it was clean. It was only two floors, up and down. They have a covered area, and there was an area for them to walk. It wasn't a big area, just enough for them to walk. They have a theater room, an activity room, and a crafts room. I liked that they have services every Sunday and have Bible study.

I went to see them in Oklahoma City. It's an independent living and it was very nice. The facility and the apartments were very nice. The staff is very helpful. The place just seemed open, friendly, and airy. It was a very nice facility. We saw exercise rooms and dining areas. They gave us a folder of things that had rooms, floor plans, a sample menu, and a listing of their activities. It was a very nice packet. The immediate neighborhood was fine but I did not like the extended neighborhood very well. The location is okay. I thought it was very nice and everybody seemed fine. My sister was not as impressed as I was.

I think that it was well done. The people were very nice, and it seemed to me like the residents knew each other. The ones I saw were seemingly treated well and happy to be there. It was the middle of the road in terms of appearance as you walk in. It was clean. There's a dining room where you come in, and you sign in, and you're seated. And I thought that was a good plan for them. The two people I met and had any conversation with were very, very complete in their explanation of how things work, what they can do, and what they can make payments for as far as upgrading the rooms or repair. They represented the place well and clearly. We went into different floor plans and they were very complete in their explanation of how things work. The layout and facade appear to be very good, but the traffic in Pennsylvania could be a problem if you're still driving. When getting in and out, it's a busy street.

My mother stayed here before. We absolutely loved the community and what it had to offer. It was a wonderful experience. It was very clean, it smelled nice, it looked nice, it had fabulous amenities, the food was really good, and we actually dined there. They had a general store, a beauty salon, and lots of great activities that the residents could engage in. They had some great people that came in, interesting activities, and they did field trips and the whole thing. It was wonderful. It was an excellent value for the price.

It is very active; people there have been there for a long time, and they loved it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious, and they redid everything before my mother-in-law moved in. The food is very good, and she likes it. There are activities every day and a variety of things to do, and they take them out. The people there are very happy, been there for a long period of time, and have no complaints. Everybody seems to be getting along and are friendly.
