Silver Elm Estates Norman is the one that we liked the most. The one thing we liked about it the most was that it's one story. There were no elevators or stairs because my wife is partially handicapped. She uses an electric chair, so the stairs or upstairs are not convenient. There's outside access to all the units there. They're all inclusive and on one floor. They've got a main hallway and wings off of it. It's very convenient. They have an exercise gym and a really nice dining facility, which is restaurant-style. The young lady was very helpful and showed us a couple of the units.

My tour with Silver Elm Estates Norman was good. The staff is wonderful. I only had to wait just a little while for somebody to give me the tour, and they showed me everything. That looked like a promising place. If I ever get my money situations to where I can afford a place like that, I'd go there. They had the lobby. They showed me all the places where they have their activities, like movie time. They played bingo and then they have a hair salon as well. The staff was very accommodating and everybody was so nice. They post a menu every day, and you have the options to go through the line and pick up what you want, or you can do a special order. The dining area was very open. They have a garden and everybody had a patio so they could lay out their little chairs. It was nice. They were great.

I liked Silver Elm Estates Norman. They were great. The apartment sizes were nice. They had lots of activities that people could just have like card games or board games or movie nights. They had people coming in from outside sources to do musical concerts and I liked that. They also had transportation where they would take people off-site for shopping or restaurants.

Silver Elm Estates Norman was an excellent facility. It was very clean and very new. The residents were very friendly. I liked how they had 3 meals a day. They had their own little backyards off of the apartments where they could take their little pets out. It was just nice. The staff who gave me the tour was very knowledgeable and respectful. They had a beauty shop, and they had a post office. They took the residents out to Wal-Mart on certain days, and they took them to their doctor's appointments on Fridays. They just had a lot of benefits.

I liked that every room here opened into a courtyard. They also have a gym, a beauty shop, a post office, a restaurant, and a van. It had all of it. Plus, the employees were very good.

I will be going here. What I like most was the area or the location, and the apartments were roomy, bright, and inviting. It looked very nice, and the dining area also looked very inviting. They have too many activities to mention. They have trips for the seniors, they take them to eat out, go on shopping trips, and there's transportation to doctor's offices. And of course, they have scheduled games, movies, and all kinds of stuff. They have patios and very nice outdoor areas for practically every apartment. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice.

I have placed a deposit. I'm on a waiting list. I like the atmosphere and the pricing. The whole place was light and airy compared to everything else I looked at. The amenities were pretty typical of all the places. They take them out on outings, to athletic events, to theater, and out to eat. They have pretty much the same as most of the retirement communities. I had lunch there and it was fine. It was just everyday food, it wasn't anything special. The place was nice, clean, good atmosphere, and the food was fine. They had a fair variety of food. The building was only eight years old, and it was all on one level and I like that about it. I'd say it's excellent.

Me and my wife liked the layout. They were very informative. We liked that we had access to the outdoors without having to go to the lobby or each one of the apartments. They looked very clean. The staff was excellent. We were not given a meal. They have no swimming pool, but I think they had a library, an exercise room, and an entertainment room, but we did not see those. It felt homey.

I am now living here. It is really good. I get all my meals. They have good food service and good transportation to medical appointments. We have washers and dryers in our apartments. We have social activities. Every month, we have a birthday party celebrating all the birthdays in the month. We have entertainers that come in. We have trivia challenges and wheel of fortune, on Mondays we have quarter bingo, and on Thursdays it is bingo for prizes. The only thing that they need to do is to run their transportations on Sunday so people can go to church, but there is a Baptist minister that comes in. They have security cameras here.

I am getting ready to move. The staff was very helpful. What I’m getting is a one bedroom, and it’s got a kitchen, living room, a bath, a real big closet, and a washer and dryer. I walked through the dining room, and it looked really good. I talked to the people, and they said the food was really good. They have a lot of different things like card games, exercise programs, walking programs, party nights, groups that get together for class, church services, and bible study. The overall atmosphere is very clean, very bright, and very welcoming. It’s a fairly new facility.
