My mother-in-law moved into Rivermont at the Trails Independent Living. I think it's a nice place. The common areas are nice, and they've done some redecorating and updating. The staff seems nice. The dining options that they have there seem to be numerous and the way they have it set up like a restaurant is nice. There's always a healthy option if you don't want whatever they're serving at that time. They also have standard options for both lunch and dinner. They have activities and they've been good about taking her to her doctor's appointments. They have art classes, exercise classes, and other activities.

The rooms in the Rivermont at the Trails Independent Living were really nice and had easy access. They provide meals, and then you have the alternative to cook in your own kitchen. It was a beautiful place. They had lots of activities. The staff was very accommodating. The food smelled wonderful. They had a nice dining area. All the rooms had a washer and dryer and everything. As far as the community goes, they were very sweet. They said hi to you, and so overall I had a very good experience.

Rivermont at the Trails Independent Living was beautiful and clean. The room was a little small, but mom was just looking at a studio and it had nice windows to look out. The staff was very friendly. The dining area was clean and fancy. They gave us a piece of dessert. They had a craft room, a game room, a little gym, a little area where they could get popcorn, and a nice area for activities.

Rivermont at the Trails Independent Living had very nice grounds. They had an outdoor place where you can sit on chairs under the trees. So, the outside facilities were nice. It's an older facility. So, it is not in tip-top shape, but the people were caring and warm. The staff was excellent. They check on you every day to make sure you're OK. They're very courteous and they have lots of good activities. They have art activities and the typical bingo. We did not have washing facilities in our apartment, but there was a washing facility on the premises that we could take out to wash. You can also get your wash done each week for $5 if you don't want to do it yourself. The food was above average. The reason I liked them so well was because they served later. They serve until 7:00 in the evening.

Rivermont at the Trails Independent Living was extremely nice, like a resort-style place. The grounds were clean. The apartment was nice and up-to-date. Everybody was very nice, very helpful, and understanding. They know what you're going through and are trying to make a choice. They also understand the cost. The dining area looked very nice. They have yoga, an exercise area, and someone to help you. You do aerobics and all kinds of fun stuff that they have you can do or you can go walk on the trails. They watch movies there, too.

The tour I had at Rivermont Independent Living was wonderful. They had a lot of social things. They served three meals a day. The staff was wonderful. They were awesome. The facilities were very nice, except it was pretty old. It had been updated, but the units themselves still seemed very old to me.

My tour at Rivermont Independent Living was fine. The sales manager lady that took me on the tour was very, very accommodating and the residents were very pleasant. They came up and introduced themselves and they seemed like a very pleasant group. The rooms were old and rather seedy so they're not for me. The lobby area, accommodations, and seating are showing wear, which you would expect- it being a 20-year-old building. I wasn't impressed with the maintenance and upkeep. The areas I toured didn't look that clean and well-cared for, but their dining area was very adequate. I have been pointed out to the areas where they do gardening and they had a library. The director showed me their schedule of planned activities that they do daily, and that was nice.

I liked Rivermont Independent Living. The thing that impressed me the most was their dining room was ready for lunch with tablecloths and the tables were set with silverware and napkins ready for residents to sit. The other thing that I liked is they had a garden room, which was a room that had a deep sink and vases and a place where you could put plants. If you had a plant, you could bring it downstairs and trim it up, and they had raised garden beds outside. It had a separate library and a separate little coffee shop area. In my generation, we like to have a little corner, a coffee shop that's a dedicated area, and a library that's a dedicated area, and it had those things. The thing I didn't like is they have never gotten back to me about the cost nor have they called to offer to give me an actual tour of a room. They gave me a tour of the main area and said that they didn't have any rooms available at the time, but they would get back to me. It's been seven weeks and no one has ever called. They ghosted me. They never got back. The staff was very distracted. They didn't offer food. They didn't have any activity the day I visited. They showed me their activities bulletin board and it seems like they had activities planned, but they didn't have any going on the moment I was there. The coffee shop was not very big. It was just like a little indentation and they had tiny patio tables with chairs in them. You could get your coffee and flavored creamers or things like that. They had the tea and a water dispenser there. You could get a beverage in that area and sit down and read your paper right there or sit down and meet somebody.

I did a tour of Rivermont Independent Living for my parents. I wanted them to move there, but they didn't want to go at this time. I thought it was a very nice layout. I liked it. The particular apartments that were selected for my parents were quite nice and I was very impressed. The rooms that we looked at, I would call apartments, were 2-bedroom, 2-bath with a full kitchen. I thought that would be a very nice living space for my parents with plenty of space. It had a balcony that I thought was very nice. I was very impressed, and I thought those would be great for my parents. It would be great to have their eating area; looked like a nice restaurant. There were folded napkins on the tables with full plate settings. It was in between meals when we were there, and it looked like a nice restaurant. That gave me a good feeling about where they're eating, and this is going to be very nice. The presentation was very good in their eating area. It looks just fine. It was a big facility that had an inside courtyard, and outside courtyards all around. They had areas for gardening, and things for people to do to walk their pets. They allowed some pets, they have places for their pets, and they encouraged people to do gardening and walking around outside. There was a nice area to walk safely, with nice sidewalks and such. The staff gave us a very professional tour, and I met many of the key staff. It was on a Saturday, so, some of the key staff were there. I met them, we had some meetings, and it was very positive.

A relative lived here. Food was great; staff, absolutely wonderful. But there is absolutely no security anywhere in the building. Only one door is monitored but staff is not always at desk. Visitors supposed to sign in but don't always do so. No security cameras anywhere. HIgh turnover in housekeeping means that there is no telling how many master keeps are floating around. Bring your own security--safe, cameras, etc. My relative had things stolen.

I toured Rivermont Independent Living in person. It was really good, and the people there were really nice. It was clean, and I loved it. I thought the apartments were beautiful, they were certainly spacious, clean, and I thought they had plenty of room. I was impressed, they had a big closet, and a big kitchen. The staff was very, very kind, very nice, and very polite. I thought it was friendly, welcoming, and they seemed to have a lot of activities for the people, which I thought was good. They had some that were just for them, and some where they invited the family, like they have a Thanksgiving dinner that the family can come to. The facility was older, like the decorations are a little older; it certainly wasn't remodelled, it was aesthetically fine, but it certainly wasn't brand new.

My dad briefly moved into Rivermont Assisted Living and Memory Care for respite care. The people were very nice, very friendly, and very helpful. The staff was very helpful and very attentive. The room was very nice, except for the bathroom and shower, but we got that fixed. The food was delicious. They have a chef, and that's really awesome. The dining area was cramped, and there was not a lot of leg room, but the tables were nice, and it was always clean. They do exercises on a regular basis, there's bible study, they watch movies, they take them on trips (like out to eat), sometimes they play music through the TV, and somebody comes in to sing or play an instrument. It's an older place, and sometimes the hallway smelled like urine.

Rivermont Retirement is really nice. The food is good and they have plenty of activities and outings. So far I like and enjoy it. They have bingo, cards, dominos, and we go out to women's or men's luncheon. We also go out for supper somewhere nice. We went to Pauls Valley which is 40 miles away, and we went to a music show and went out to eat. So there's plenty to do. My apartment is very roomy and spacious. I just have a one-bedroom, but it's big enough for my king-sized bed, dresser, a desk and chest of drawers. A full-bedroom suite will easily fit in it. Their studios are a little bit smaller, and they also have two-bedrooms available. They have a salon and a little workout room with a treadmill and a couple of stationary bikes. They don't have a pool, but we can go over to The University of Oklahoma, and they have a pool that we can use. The University of Oklahoma is really close so you can go to all kinds of their sporting events if you want to, which is one nice thing about it. We've had a couple of people come in to sing, and one gentleman comes in to play stuff on his trumpet and clarinet. We have musical kind of guests that come in, like we had a singer the other night that came and sang to us. Everybody on the staff is really nice. There's no microwave in my apartment, so you have to buy your own microwave. But I have a galley kitchen with lots of storage.

Rivermont Retirement Community was a very nice place, very clean, very pretty, it's got nice furnishing, and the people were nice. They had all kinds of activities, they fix your meals, and they do the laundry. They're just very expensive. The staff was very nice, very friendly and very helpful. You have your own apartment and you take care of yourself. It's wonderful and everything about it was nice.

Rivermont Retirement Community is a perfect facility. The rooms were just what I needed since they're just the right size. The person who gave me the tour was really good and the people at the front desk were great. I have gone to a lot of seminars there and everyone has been very nice. The food was really good and the whole facility was very open. They have activities all the time.

I didn’t like Rivermont. It’s old and showing it. I saw part of it and said to my son, "This is not for me," and I left. It seemed like they’re all like one room, and I didn’t like that. It needs a lot of updating, too.

We like Rivermont at the Trails because of the people, the way it is laid out, the food, the laundry services, the rooms, and the activities that they offer. It has a light, upbeat, and less depressing atmosphere and felt more like an upscale hotel. The staff is wonderful, very helpful, and very nice. Everybody was upbeat, which shows that they wanted to be there. Mom wished she had moved in here sooner. The residents are in her age bracket, and she has been very busy since she moved in. We had not even finished signing her registration, and she had already made two friends that morning.

Everything was very nice at Rivermont except the size of the apartments. The staff who assisted us was congenial and helpful. The atmosphere was very friendly. It's a clean environment. There were exercise classes, attendance at the sporting events at the University of Oklahoma, church attendance, and some arts and crafts.

My Mother needed a comfortable home, where she would feel safe and happy and one that she would grow with the knowledge that she was in a good place in her life. We chose Rivermont Retirement Community. We were amazed with the spacious living and cafe area. The natural light streaming down gave light and beauty to the rooms which created a feeling of joy. My mother has lived at Rivermont for two years. She has had a wonderful experience making new friends, has participated in activities, dinned with friends, enjoyed fantastic cuisine, listened to musicians, and amazed by the artists and writers. There are so many celebrations at Rivermont to enjoy. My mother felt comfortable in her apartment that she has decorated with her favorite furniture and pictures of our family. She has met authors and so many interesting people while living at Rivermont. The staff and volunteers are fantastic professionals. They are always kind and caring. Rivermont's gift is a beautiful home with loving residents that share their life with joy. I am so happy and thankful that we chose Rivermont.
