I toured Rivermont at the Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care. It was clean. I walked in and there was no smell, and everything just looked clean. The place was very nice. I walked around and looked at everything. They're not in their room all day long, with nothing going on. There's activities and things for them to do. Walking around, it was a nice place. The staff is very knowledgeable. They showed me around and showed me every day what was going on and the activities they had going on, and just all the things going on in the rooms. Everything is nice and clean.

Mom will be moving to Rivermont at the Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care. We liked it because of its location and pricing. The person that toured us around was very kind and very knowledgeable. They offer all the amenities and facilities that mom would need. They have courtyards, a salon, an exercise room, and three meals a day.

The only thing we did not like about Rivermont at the Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care is the fact that we have to take our own furniture there. We're only looking at respite care for a couple of months. So, it would be very difficult to take Mom's furniture for that timeframe. Everything else was great. The dining facilities, the rooms, the bathroom, all of that was nice. The room did not have a microwave or a refrigerator or a little kitchenette, so we would have to take something like that in there. I realize most of it is because they want their dining room used, but in case she wanted something light in the evening or something to drink, we would have to bring that into the room as well. If she was going to be there longer, I wouldn't have any problem with the furniture. The staff was very professional and very friendly. They answered all of my questions. They wanted to make sure that I understood all of their facilities, the care they offered, what amenities they offered, and the activities. They were very thorough. They said if I had any questions later on, give them a call. They were very, very nice. I have not tried the meals. However, they were eating meals there and the food looked really good. They were very nice portions and there's a wide variety. They did show me the menu, and they had different options. I didn't see any of the other residents having any issues with the food. They cover a magnitude of everything, from the activities that they provide to the residents and other therapy and stuff like that.

Rivermont at the Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care had a very old-word feeling and was very luxurious. They had beautiful grounds with beautiful flowers, it's a lovely area and nice courtyard spaces. All the rooms look out on an outdoor space. The dining area was beautiful and the meals seem to be the best of all the facilities that I've toured. The staff who gave the tour was very professional, very warm, and welcoming. I asked several detailed questions, which they were able to answer. They had transportation and activities, and it seemed to be a well-established facility where people tended to stay. The staff had a lot of years at the facility, which was the most impressive. So there's not a lot of turnover in their staff, which is a good sign.

I toured Rivermont Assisted Living and Memory Care for my parents-in-law. It was a bright environment. The people seemed happy. The activity rooms and dining areas were clean and nice. The staff who assisted me with the tour was knowledgeable, caring, and cheerful. They had a nice enclosed courtyard.

Rivermont Assisted Living and Memory Care was a very nice facility, just more expensive. The rooms were smaller, there was less storage capacity and less closet space. However, it was certainly a well-appointed facility, the dining area seemed large and well-appointed, and it had a nice-sized living room and other gathering spaces for the residents. They have a patio area with a fountain. In the main living area, there were some bookshelves with books on them that the residents were free to borrow. There was a beauty shop there where you get your haircut. They also had a kind of a trolley that had snacks and some beverages for residents between meals and a nice dining area. The staff that I encountered when I was there were very gracious and very helpful. One of the things they touted was that most of their staff had 10 years or more of experience within the facility so, it was a very low turnover. They were all very friendly. I saw several people who were having lunch, and they all seemed to be enjoying their meal. They were talkative and active. The staff was very supportive in assisting them.

When I went to Rivermont Assisted Living, they took my temperature, and someone was at the front desk. They were very nice. I was very impressed with them. There were a couple of residents out, and it was very clean, very tidy, and didn't smell or anything. The woman I spoke to was able to give me everything that I was looking for. The price was pretty high, but I was pretty impressed with everything. The small room was the only one that I got to see, and the only thing I didn't like was the fact that they did not provide a refrigerator, a microwave, or anything like that. The price was so high that you would expect those things to be included with the price. You have to bring everything with you. It was well kept, the grounds were kept up nicely, and there was no trash lying around. It was a beautiful facility.

Rivermont Assisted Living and Memory Care was really good, but it was a little pricey since it was at least a $1,000 more a month more than anyone else. The staff members are fine; however, I saw no activities. We primarily just saw the three levels of apartments that they have, but we didn't see any amenities. The dining area was clean and very pleasing to the eye.

Rivermont Assisted Living and Memory Care was kind of sterile. It's nice, but it was more expensive than others and not as homey. The rooms were clean. It just seemed like a place that all they were interested in was bills.

My parents are in Rivermont. It was a very nice facility to look at and pleasant to be inside. We liked the staff that we met, and we liked that it was a private corporation. The food was good, I liked that it was put on your plate, and brought to you rather than a cafeteria where you choose and tend to overdo easily. They had a haircut salon, a very nice and very attentive activities director who was very interested in the individual interest of the residents, and lots of activities.

Everything at Rivermont Retirement Community seemed perfect to me. The staff member who toured us around was very informative, friendly, and spent plenty of time with us. The rooms were extremely clean and spacious. They have a library and they have trips to casinos and shopping. The dining room is very nice, clean, and spacious.

Rivermont "The Gardens." I have a family member who has lived at Rivermont Gardens for over a year. The care my family member receives is very good. The staff is attentive and alert to my family member's needs. The Gardens is an assisted living facility that has a memory care unit. I am familiar with both the assisted living and memory care units. The flexibility of having both is a feature. The gardens is a very comfortable facility that works hard to make each resident feel at home. The chef is an excellent baker and the monthly friends and family dinners are very enjoyable special occasions designed to give family and friends a special reason to visit their resident. Visitors are welcome and appreciated. The facility and grounds are well cared for and provide a comfortable environment.

First off my information only applies to management. The care givers are wonderful people and go above and beyond. Rivermont at the Trails is very expensive like most assisted living centers I assume. Understanding that a lot of people pay out of pocket you would think the company, Legend Senior Living, would have a process to allow several different accepted forms of payment. This is not so. You better have cash or printed checks. The owner refuses to allow ACH Checking Account withdrawal or credit card payments. I have attempted to contact the company comp troller to discuss the reasons but he will not return my calls. I was told by a worker, that didn't to reveal his name, the owner allegedly absolutely refuses to take credit card payments because he doesn't want to have to pay the fees. He sure doesn't mind taking my $4000 a month plus yearly increases. Seriously credit cards are a business standard today. A fact of life considered by 99% of businesses to be a cost of just doing business. Since insurance doesn't pay all of it comes out of pocket. If credit cards would be allowed with transaction cash back offers this would help me make the payments. Some months a credit card could be the difference between me making a payment and my grandmother being evicted. I normally don't air personal business but I can't get anyone to pay attention so maybe this form of media will get answers.

Rivermont is an excellent, very well-run, clean, and friendly-looking place. It doesn’t look institutional and doesn’t have any smell to it. It's well-lit and has a central dining area with service so the residents don't have to go up to a buffet line. I was very impressed with it. The staff is excellent and have gone above and beyond in trying to work with my parents to get them in there. It's the best I've seen.

I thought Rivermont was very nice. It was clean and modern, and I think it would meet the needs of my wife?s uncle. The folks were really nice. They took time with me and even went out of their way to meet with me on a Sunday and showed me everything. If it was me, I liked it. They seemed to have a pretty good meal situation, and there was a small kitchen in the residence. They seemed to have plenty of activities. It definitely did meet all of his needs.

I was impressed with Rivermont Retirement Community. The staff was really nice and did all they could to make me feel at home. It's a good facility. The rooms looked fine, I have no complaints at all, and it seemed like the people there are enjoying it. The staff really cared for their people. They have transportation to doctors, so it was impressive.

Rivermont Retirement’s layout was OK. The staff seemed OK too, but the cleanliness of the place was not good. The odor was overpowering, when you started walking on the hallways, that’s when the odor -- the urine -- was very strong. I did look at the dining room, and it seems clean. The rooms were very small. I thought they were a little high for the price.

We really liked the independent living area at Rivermont at the Trails because of all the activities and the way the place was set up. I didn't like the assisted living area because it did not have the little kitchenettes in the rooms. One person showed us the independent living area, and another one showed us the assisted living area, and they were both wonderful. They spent considerable time with us and answered all our questions. We actually had one resident come up and give positive feedback on how good the food was.

We put my parents in a nice one-bedroom in Rivermont. Our experience has been very good and very positive. The staff is very accommodating and very good at coming and fixing things. The dining room, the common area and the gardens are lovely. However, I guess there is a bit of turnover in the kitchen, and they are getting a new chef. When they first moved in, the food was very good, and then they had a different chef, so it was not as good, but I guess it is getting better. My parents are having a ball finding something to do and enjoying themselves. There is a lot of variety of activities. It has the continuum of care on-site because at some point my dad is going to have to go assisted living, and it will be nice that my mom will be able to see him every day. It is working out. It has only been a month, and they are adjusting.

This facility is absolutely awful. They don't have any activities for the residents and all the residents have to do is sit in their room or sit in the big room and do nothing. The directors that you need to speak to are always on vacation or gone for two or three days. They raise the rent whenever they want. We finally moved my family member to arbor house and it was the best decision we ever made. Think twice where you put your loved ones.

I have heard a lot good references for Rivermont. Right now, they are going through a change of personnel. The staff they had was very good, so it would be hard to tell you how this new staff is going to be. Food is good. My husband's room is very nice, roomy, and clean. It has a separate bathroom, its own bathroom. They pick the room out just for that person when they come.

We've been in Rivermont a couple of days. It has a long-time good reputation. I've lived here a long time so I know about it. It's always very clean and very well kept. My husband is in the memory care. It's a very nice-sized room. It's all new inside. They just redid the room before he moved in. It has everything. They have a lot of people and staff, and I know he's well taken care of.

When looking for a place for my mom, we checked this place out. First off, was the smell when you walked into the building. There were people sitting around in wheelchairs with no activities going on which disturbed me but the lady giving me a tour said it was just a "down" time. Since it was just before lunch, I stayed and observed. There was two entrees to choose from but very few of the residents were even asked what they wanted. The full plates were set down in front of them with very little discussio, I thoughtthe place was very cold. I didn't get a good feeling that this was the place I wanted my mom.

We checked out The Gardens at Rivermont in Norman, while visiting friends. Our uncle needs to move to a place where he can be cared for. He has early dementia -- and were were told that they could accommodate him here. Most of the residents looked like they could get around well, so our uncle would fit in here well. There are plenty of exercise and other physical activities offered. The services offered here seemed typical to what we have seen thus far. The needs of the residents were handled with consideration and care by the staff. The restaurant style dining looked appealing, as did the food. The outings schedule includes transportation to various recreational and social programs in the community and they also host a variety of events at the facility. All of the areas we saw were clean and tidy. The private living quarters were nice sized -- about the size of a hotel room, which is ample enough for our uncle. He prefers to be out and about socializing, so would only really use the room for sleeping and perhaps, reading. He can also read in the library, which stocks plenty of interesting reading material. All of the residents here appear to be ambulatory, so a fit and active senior would do well here.
