My mom is at Grace Skilled Nursing & Therapy Norman. She was at another place first, and they moved her into Grace last week. She would be doing rehab there. The physical appearance is pleasing. It's a nice place. My mom really likes to cook, and she loves the meals there. She has not been there very long (only a week). As far as we can tell, everything's fine. She hasn't complained or anything. The rooms are small, and she doesn't have a roommate now. It's a great fit, and she likes it there. I haven't tasted the food, but she told me every day that it's good when I talk to her on the phone. The facility is nice and clean. It's pleasing and doesn't stink.

My mother went to Grace Skilled Nursing & Therapy Norman for rehab. She stayed there for about 10 days. The first four days were good. She was getting physical therapy every day. After four days, they moved someone into her room with her. They didn't know that person had COVID. My mom left that place with some PTSD because they made her stay there for seven days to quarantine. The rest of the time that she had COVID, I don't believe they showered her for a week. When we got her out of there, she had to go right back to the emergency room because she was unable to urinate and had dried feces all over her vagina. She had a UTI so bad that she was almost septic. So, we had to take her back to the hospital. They had to run three bags of antibiotics through an IV. They had to catheterize her because her UTI was so bad that she was not able to urinate. I'd never send my mom back there. I think they were short-staffed while she was there. When she first got there, several rooms only had one person in them, but by the time she got out of there, every room was full with two people in it. I just don't think they had enough staff to take care of everybody. They came in and switched out her trash. They mopped the floors, but it didn't look too good. The food was OK, but my sister and I usually took her food to her. She's kind of a picky eater anyway. The physical therapy was good when she got it, but she only got it for four days before she got COVID, so then they wouldn't let her out of the room. We had to visit her from outside of the window. Other than her physical therapy, there were not any activities. They should get more staff. They have to take better care of their patients who they've got locked in their rooms with COVID.
