I can't say enough good things about Brookdale. The staff and nurses are so very caring. The smaller size means that all staff and nurses truly care about all the residents. I am very thankful that the Brookdale family care for my Dad. They are also pet friendly. My Dad's puppie is very happy there.

I have toured Brookdale Norman. It's very warm and welcoming, I saw the residents being happy. It's older, in terms of the facility, and didn't have the same spacious feeling that I saw with other places. But it was very clean and tidy, and the tour person, Naomi, was very professional and answered all my questions. They didn't have a model room for me to look at, so I toured two rooms with the residents' permission. The rooms were very nice and both were studio-type rooms. They had religious services, a courtyard, a dining area, a small entryway for gathering in another small area, and they have activities. They also have transportation to medical appointments. So overall, it was very comfortable. They also had a sunroom that was airconditioned and cool.

Brookdale Norman was a nice facility. It was single level. They had activity rooms, etcetera. The staff was wonderful. The facility just needed some repairs, and the rooms were small.

We're able to tour Brookdale Norman and that's the best place. We've tried the food and there's a very friendly staff, I liked it. We got to meet some of the people there and we ate lunch, it sold us. The food was for seniors obviously, but it was still very good, it's excellent. They served the people and they come and cleaned it up, it's just nice. The rooms we saw were really good, they had an area where we could set up a microwave and have snacks in the room if we wanted to. Plus there's a separate bedroom and a little living room. It's not big because we don't want it big anyway, but it's nice. They worked hard at keeping the place clean, they don't have the smells and stuff. They had a lot of stuff, they had a board set up where they had all their activities for the week and you could see what was going on. They could participate in a lot of different things, there's an area where everybody could get together if they wanted to. They also have an ice cream social, they sit and listen to people that came and played music, which was nice.

Brookdale Norman was excellent. It was smaller and had fewer residents than other places. When we were there everyone seemed to be interested. When we visited they had a singer who was playing songs for the people who were there. I liked the layout of the apartment a little better because all the rooms are on the first floor. They also have a central courtyard that I thought was nice.

My dad is staying at Brookdale Norman, and it is clean and homey. They have a number of activities from Bingo, to bowling, to exercise classes, and they do a variety of outings, museums, ball games, and just taking everybody who wants to go out to lunch or dinner. They have a big range of outings from short ones to longer ones. The staff is friendly and seemed compassionate.

We toured Brookdale Norman. I liked the staff, facility, and rooms very much, and I actually preferred it as far as looks and maintenance go, but it was more expensive. They had a hair salon. It was smaller and had fewer residents, so the staff seemed to know the residents on a personal basis and know their names. That gave it a very homey and comfortable atmosphere. I liked it very much, I liked their landscaping and setup. Its a four-sided building around an open courtyard, and if you just keep walking, youll get back to where you started.

I thoroughly enjoyed the visit to Brookdale. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The guy at the register impressed mother. A lot of the staff came up and talk to me. The rooms have divisions, a walk-in closet, an area for the kitchen, a bedroom, and an area for TV. The doors to the outside were locked, but the courtroom doors were always open. They had a nice courtyard. It looked homier, and the people were friendlier. I would put her in Brookdale if it was necessary for her to be in a home. It was also near me and my daughter. They had a lot of activities, and they would go to the museum.

Brookdale was a little nicer, and the rooms were newer. It was OK as far as cleanliness goes. They had an atrium that people could go out in, some art classes in a room, and bingo.

Brookdale Norman is outdated and old. It is OK, just old and outdated. They didn’t have the size apartment that I wanted. They only have 30 people.

We’ve been very happy at Brookdale Norman. It’s closer to where we’re at. Everybody has gone out of their way to be super nice, and they treat everybody like family; my mother loves them all. We like it because it’s smaller; there’s like 34 residents, so she feels more secure and safer with her surroundings, and we feel safe that she’s there. Because it’s small, she can find her way back and forth to her room. She’s adjusted so well that my sister and I go at least 3 or 4 times to see mother during the week and on weekends. It’s a God-send.

My husband's aunt was at Sterling House. The staff were really nice and helpful. The residents looked happy and seemed to enjoy the food. They also had various activities. Her room was smaller compared to the other facilities I have seen, but I was not sure if there were other sizes.

My mom was in Sterling House in Norman, OK. We chose this place because it's more comfortable for our part. The staff were good to us and were very helpful.

My grandmother was moved into this facility after my grandfather passed away. My grandmother was a very social person and this facility soon became home to her. She started playing bingo and making crafts with the other residents. She made friends and went on field trips. My grandmother was very happy there. She said her meals were close to gourmet even though they weren't like her cooking. Each room had a large bathroom and it was very easy for her to bathe and do her daily living rituals. It came with a half-kitchen with a microwave, small refrigerator and a sink. When she did not want to go to dinner, she cooked a little something for herself in the microwave. They also allowed her to keep her pet. That was very important to her. Her dog made her very happy. The apartment had a back door into the courtyard where she could walk her dog and be safe. The apartment was also equipped with a panic button. She accidentally hit it once while making the bed and the staff was there in minutes. All in all, it was a great place for my grandmother to live. When she passed, the staff came to her funeral and were very nice when we came to clean out the apartment.

I visited the Sterling House of Norman several times while my great-grandmother was a resident there and never left her once unpleased. On my first trip, I was given a complete tour and tons of details about my great-grandmother's new home. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout the entire tour and really made me feel comfortable with her making this transition. The house was well kept and allowed her to have her own personal freedom, while still keeping her active and secure. My great-grandmother really enjoyed getting to know all of the other residents and always had wonderful things to say about her time there. It was also reassuring how easy to reach and helpful the staff was for our family outside of Norman. They were happy to keep us updated and never minded taking our phone calls when we wanted to just check in. As a whole, our experience was beyond expectations. From making her adjustment a smooth and easy one to providing her with the most excellent care throughout her entire stay, Sterling House always surpassed our family's satisfaction.
