I toured Morada Midwest City. It was nice. It was clean. The rooms were smaller than what they were in the other facility. The biggest thing that I liked was the activities. They had daily activities. They posted it on the board, things of that nature. So that was a big win for me because that's something that my mother enjoys. The staff was very personable.

Morada Midwest City was great. I was able to view the entire complex and I noticed the residents were having lunch and the staff was helping them. The inside of the building was very clean. The room was very clean, too. It was kind of small, but it had a big picture window so you could look out the window to the parking lot. That was nice, and it had a lot of light.

I think the best thing about Morada Midwest City was the location. The staffing appeared good. I didn't have anything that I didn't like about it. The staff members appeared very caring and knowledgeable. They seem to be centered around the residents. Everybody seemed to be enjoying what they were doing. They had a salon and a cafeteria. They were playing group games.

I thought the staff was very friendly. It was very clean. It was a small community, so everyone knew each other. It didn't have the feel of one of the larger institutional-like nursing homes or assisted living places. I only saw one room that was empty at that time, and it was very, very small. The building was old and very small, so it wasn't a long walk from any room to the activities, dining room, or to be out with the others socializing. The director was very personable. I met one of the nurses, and she was very personable as well. As far as activities, I didn't see anything going on when I was there. It looked like they had a small area for people to gather for activities. I know they had activities because they said that they had bingo and stuff like that.

It was wonderful. We had a great visit. They were so personable. We left feeling like they cared about my mother-in-law as an individual and she would get very personal individualized care there. They only have 31 beds, but they do whatever each patient needs and we love that. If she needed memory care, she could go to any level there. I was so impressed by the chef. She makes everything from scratch. She cares about the residents as if they're her grandparents and they get to choose their meals every day. She has a lot of alternatives, like homemade soup or sandwiches, besides the entrees. She was just great. They were very clean. My mother-in-law loved the colors. The best part was we saw an empty room, but then we visited a lady in her room, and once we saw the furniture, that thrilled my mother-in-law because she saw that her queen bed would fit with an end table on each side, the leather couch that she loves, and her recliner. That was just so encouraging to both of us. She said, "This place is beautiful. It is so much nicer than I expected." They have a beauty salon and a courtyard, and she would want to take her little puppy and they were positive about that.

It was a small community with assisted living. If you ever get worse, you can stay there. I liked the smallness of the place. I liked the staff and I thought my mother-in-law would get excellent care there. She didn't like that it didn't have a living room window; it only had a bedroom window. The residents needed more care than what she needed. It didn't feel vibrant. The music was real loud and it was distracting. It had a very homey atmosphere and it had a pretty outdoor area.
