I am in Morada Lawton. I have been here for several months now. Everybody here is very courteous. They listen to what I have to say. I have a studio apartment. I have it sectioned off with my sofa so that the back part of it is more like my bedroom, and then the front has the sofa and the TV. We have a very active activities director. We not only do things here, but we go to the park, go out to eat, and go to Walmart a couple of times a month. Just about any time you physically or mentally want to do something, there's usually something going on. I'm on a healthy heart diet. And they have a regular menu every day. You get to choose from that. If it's something you don't like, then there's an everyday menu and you'll have like a chef's salad, cheeseburger, or soup and sandwich that you can get at any time. Everybody is very polite. You are called by your name, so it makes you feel like they know what you need and what you want. With regards to cleanliness, they keep it very clean. I haven't seen one bug the whole time I've been there. They do a really good job at cleanliness. It's quite expensive for me because I foot my own bills. So financially, it's a challenge. The more help you need, the more it costs. So I do most of the care for myself, and that helps a lot with the finances.

I went to Morada Lawton. It was beautiful. I've seen quite a few of the residents there, and they seem to be happy with where they were. So it was a nice place, but I couldn't take my friend there. The staff was nice and very helpful, especially the gentleman I spoke to. They gave me some ideas on somewhere to send her. The food smelled good, I smelled it in the hallway. It was very clean and well-organized, and it had a baby grand piano in the middle of the building.

I went to Morada Lawton. It was very nice. I was hoping that my mother-in-law could go there. It would have been very convenient for my husband and me because it's just down the road, it's not that far. It was clean. The people seemed to interact with each other. The employees seemed to be getting along and interacting with the patients. It was a very nice building from what I saw. The staff was very knowledgeable. The facility was very clean, even on the baseboards. The community seemed friendly. They acknowledged me as I walked in the door and were very polite.

I've been here; I've toured it twice. I almost put my husband in there but decided to not do it right now. All of the staff were very helpful. There's not anything that I like the least. It's a nice place. The rooms are really big, and they were going to give me a room that was being redone. It was nice and clean. There was no odor. The people that I saw there were residents, they all seemed happy. They had a salon.

When we toured here, I liked it. It seemed like they cared about the residents and they had a lot of personalized care. Even down to their meal planning was whatever the resident wanted, they catered to the residents. The staff have activities for the residents, the rooms are nice, and they promote them having their freedom. The reason why we chose another place was that it was closer to family, but they called and checked on me. They were just really caring, even after we didn't choose them. They still called to make sure that my mom was OK, or just to check how she was. They let us come in and have a meal there. It was good, it was tasty, and it was set like a dinner setting so we ate like a family. It's very clean and the atmosphere has a very homey feeling. You'd feel at home there. The staff was really helpful and very kind. The food was excellent, they even have an alternative menu.

My father moved into here. He got an apartment and it's got a living room, a bedroom, and two baths. They don't allow cooking, but they have a microwave and a refrigerator. They don't allow hot plates or stoves or anything like that. They provide all of his medical care, all the dining, and they have activities. He's free to come and go as he pleases and families are welcome to come and go as they please. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give them an 11. They're great people. They have a dementia center there. They have just one room and three different size rooms depending on whatever they wanted. My father wanted a lot of room. He uses a scooter, so he wanted enough room to move around with the scooter. They have church services and all kinds of activities down in the activity room. They do different activities every single day. They offer restaurant-type dining, laundry care, cleaning the rooms, they also have healthcare, and they have a doctor and nurses on the premises. They offer just about everything I can think of. They have puzzle building, movies, cards, and a piano. My dad already played the piano for the other residents since he's been there. They have a library, a courtyard, and areas outside that they can go out and they're still on- premises. They have a theater room and they offer movies and popcorn. They have a little chapel and a music room. My father seemed quite happy with them. The location and the convincing of the medical care were the two things that led me to Ten Oaks. They also told me that if my father ever gets to the point where he needs memory care, all they would do is just move into a different unit in the memory care section. I was pleased with that.
