My mom is staying at Oak Hill Care Center. My mom has been neglected time and time again about her wheelchair. It's almost like I have to beg them to fix her raggedy root wheelchair. I put duct tape on the arm part of the wheelchair that is scratching her skin, and then they have a problem with that, and I said, "Well, if you have a problem with that, why didn't you fix my mom's wheelchair?" They want the family members to tell them, but my mom is there 24/7, and they should notice. And they keep putting pork on my mom's plate. My mom can't eat pork. It's just a bunch of neglect. She doesn't like it. They're cleaning it because I don't smell urine. My mom still needs therapy because she had a stroke, but she said they hadn't been walking her. It's poor because I see them walking other people when I get there, but they haven't been walking her. Her room is cluttered and small, and she doesn't have much room to put anything. The person on the other side of her room has plenty of room. She has a closet and everything. I asked them if they could move my mom to another room, to someone that she could mesh with. Her roommate, when she's on her cycle, leaves blood, BM, or whatever on the toilet. So, my mom had to get in her wheelchair and travel down the hall to the left to use the bathroom. I've told them about this. They said putting her in a room by herself is going to cost more. She likes the activity, and she plays bingo. When they do my mom's laundry, her bras and clothes come up missing. Then I have to take money out of my pocket and buy her more bras.

I was looking for a facility to care for my father after many health conditions prohibited him from living independently. After considering other facilities Oak Hills met my fathers needs without question. The CNA's were very attentive, nice, and respectful which made the atmosphere conducive to what my family and I were looking for. When you walk in you are greeted with a smile and assisted by a staff member to direct you where you need to go. They were very friendly and the residents seemed to be happy and engaged in the activities that were planned for them. If you are looking for care for your love one I would definitely suggest visiting this facility.

My mother is at Oak Hill Care Center. I like it very much. They take good care of my mother, and they’re willing to work with me financially. My mother shares a room with one other person. It is good-sized. It is big enough for two twin beds, a recliner, and a couple of nightstands. They have arts and crafts, TV, and music. The atmosphere is good. My mother enjoys it there. She is very happy there.
