I am/was a resident of this facility

We have lived at Burgundy Place for about 5 years now. It is a very nice community for independent living. We have meals that are available to us. We have music and all types of entertainment. We go places in a car or bus, like on little short trips or day trips. We have bingo. It's just a nice and warm community. We're very happy with it. We have nice staff, and they're all very courteous and good. They clean our apartments. We have other staff that gets our things together for us, like if we're going to do a trip or something. They're all very nice and helpful. We are in a two-bedroom apartment. We are on the ground level, so we have a nice patio. I did have a pond out front, but I couldn't take care of it, so now I have a birdbath. They have one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Sometimes the floor plans are reversed. They change your bed, do your laundry, and take your trash out. They do that once a week. And it's not that expensive compared to other places.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My dad moved into Burgundy Place. What I like best about it is the staff. They are so nice. The apartments are nice, too. They take them to different kinds of places. They keep their residents very active. It's just a wonderful place. The atmosphere is awesome. Residents are always checking on each other. It's like family. The staff are very close with their residents and their families. You walk in there, and it's like you're a part of a family. I tried their food last night, and it was wonderful. The food was amazing. The dining area is nothing like a cafeteria because it is warm and welcoming. It's just like your home dining room, but with a lot more tables. My dad has a small apartment, but it's perfect for him. Before we went in, they really did everything for us. They hung pictures for us. It has new carpet, new paint, a new refrigerator, and a new dishwasher. They make all the residents wear a Lifeline necklace. They can push the little buzzer, and somebody will come when they fall. I also went into their 2-bedrooms, and they were nice, big, and spacious. They were great rooms. They have birthday parties, bingo, and ping pong. They have a gym. They take them to activities around town, and they do all sorts of trips and stuff. That's all I've heard of, seen, and read so far, but it's awesome. I want to live there some day; it's that good. It's also affordable, so that's the best part. I enjoy going up there and seeing my dad. It is so much fun. I love it.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I toured Burgundy Place. My great aunt actually lives there and she's very happy with it. That's why we chose it for my grandma. It still gives them a sense of independence while giving them the help that they need. Everybody was very friendly, very helpful, and seemed very caring toward their residents. They offer a lot of amenities and a lot of different programs. It's just extraordinary for what they offer for the price.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom is at Burgundy Place, and we chose it because of the amenities and the people. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. And her room is well kept, modern, and clean. They offer transportation, meals, security, and life alert. I don't know if they can do this, but I personally would like walking paths. But given the age of the residents, I don't know if that's possible. I want some outdoor activities and walking. But again, taking into consideration the age of the residents there, I don't know how viable that would be.

I visited this facility

Burgundy Place was clean. It seemed to be well organized and well run. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were good. They seemed to have a good program for the seniors to socialize and get active. They were very amendable as far as transporting the seniors if they want to go shopping or eat at a restaurant somewhere. We didn't try the food but my sister, her husband and my mother all spent the night there just to try it out and they thought it was really good.
