My mom is in rehab at Ignite Medical Resort Adams PARC. The staff stays on them really good Monday through Friday as far as the rehab goes. The weekend crew doesn't do a whole lot of physical therapy. It's kind of like they give them a break on the weekends. But they're very motivating. They have the meals. They have an activities coordinator. They do games, arts and crafts, and watch movies. They have people that come in and do entertainment and church service stuff. And so they have people within that do things, and then they have people that come from outside and do things. She complains about the meals not being seasoned at all with anything. They're just plain and bland, and a lot of the people are on specialized diet, but they also don't have access to very many condiments. They run out very fast. So the food she's not thrilled with. They could do better. The facility is always clean and always nice. The maintenance guy is always running around. If anything needs fixing, he's always there. The floors are spotless. It doesn't smell like a nursing home. It doesn't have that offputting smell when you go in.

Ignite Resort and Spa is an astetically beautiful facility, but it is NOT a resort nor a spa. My mother needed a short-term facility after having a heart attack and broken tailbone. Ignite had great reviews, so we jumped at the opportunity to get her into a private room. She was admitted on a Friday night, and there did not seem to be anyone in charge. She was put into a semi private room so close to the door that her feet were practically sticking out into the hall. When I complained to the LPN, she just laughed and said, "I get it. You thought you were going to a spa!" We requested water three times and never got it. From what I observed the facility did not follow a healthy food program. The first night was a chicken salad sandwhich, salty chips and iced tea, no fruit or vegetable. Another meal I witnessed consisted of chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, iced tea, and no fruit or vegetable. To their credit, they did find a private room the following day. My mother complained of being cold, as the bed was pushed against the window. She was told it was just cold in her wing. After two days, the PT found her window cracked open. The temps reached 20 degrees the night before. My mother was bedridden and needed bathroom assistance. Four times during her stay either she or I had to actually call the facility to get help to the toilet, or off of the toilet. One time the LPN argued with me saying her light wasn't on, yet I was on the phone with her while she waited an hour for help. My mother was there seven days, and most of the workers were very kind, however she waited an unacceptable amount of time to have her basic needs met. The scariest part is that this facility has such a high rating and boasts to be the best in Bartlesville. I suppose if you can fend for yourself, it would be okay, but if you are truly sick or in pain, this is not a place to put a loved one unless you can stay with them. Although they claim to offer complete care, they are not equipped to offer such for people who are seriously ill.

My husband was at Ignite Medical Resort Adams PARC. He had to share a room there. They split the room and there was another patient in the room with him. They had to share the sink and the bathroom. I thought it was very, very small. He didn't have his own room. The food was good. My husband had macaroni and cheese and steak. The staff were great, and they were all really good. They all seemed to like my husband. He's a very ornery person. He gave each of the staff and the nurses kind of a hard time, but they treated him very well. He did have his own TV. Medicare took care of it. My husband had so many days through Medicare that he could stay there. The staff were all good at letting me know if I needed them ever again or if I felt like him coming home was going to be too much for me like I could always call them within a short amount of time, and they could help him come back there and stay and they would continue taking care of him.
