The Courtyards at Magnolia Creek Assisted Living Memory Care is an older establishment, but it's very well maintained. When a resident leaves the room, they go through it and freshen up the room with paint and carpet. The hallways and everything are very well-maintained. They do senior care plus memory care so you have both of the same complexes. They have lots of different activities, Monday through Thursday. They give each resident a calendar showing the activities. I've talked to my mother-in-law and she's very happy with all these different activities. It's easy to make new friends there and she says the food is great. It's kind of like a square and you have a courtyard. The inner rooms had a door to the courtyard. That's where I put her and it is about $4400 a month. Of course, you also got a little private patio area where you go out there and sit on a chair. There's a table where you can have your cup of coffee. So that was very impressive. The outer rooms are $4200 a month. They also allow pets. You can have one pet per resident and think I had to pay a $500 pet deposit for her cat. Everybody's super friendly. I was impressed with the evening nurse. As soon as we took my mother-in-law out to dinner and got back to her room that evening, the nurse was there with her medications. Nothing was a la carte. Your $4400 a month includes everything. Bath care, bath assistance, med management, three hots, and a cot. When you pay that price, there are no surprises and they have a doctor on staff that comes out and checks on all of them. If you need a referral, that doctor will refer you to a specialist. She's also been very happy with the activities. They have a section for a big-screen TV where they play movies. They got areas where they work on puzzles and they got an arts and crafts room.

My sister moved into The Courtyards at Magnolia Creek Memory Care Assisted Living, and so far, it's been really good. I would recommend it. The rooms are larger and nice. It's a beautiful place. Everybody there was nice. My sister doesn't complain about the food. They have someone there to do your hair. They have activities, a religious service on Sunday, and games to play. They have a television and a piano. It seems like the people enjoy it. The staff members that I met are very nice, understanding, patient, and fun. I just really like them all. It's probably pretty standard as far as how much they charge.
