My mother has moved into Arden Courts of Westlake. It was exclusively for dementia and Alzheimer's patients, and that is their main focus. They have activities, they have music, and they have arts. I haven't seen any of the physical activities, but they're very in tune with the people that are there. They seem to be very easily helping them because they're not arguing with them or anything. They somehow know how to speak their language. The cleanliness is very good, and it's kind of homey. My mother's room is a small plain room with an en suite bathroom. You can bring your own stuff and have some pictures of your family there. My mother has had issues where they called the ambulance and took her right away to the hospital. It was like a cellulitis issue. They had done taking care of her for that and then called me right away. The staff are very friendly, very helpful, and understanding. I haven't had any bad experiences with anybody. With regards to the condition of the place, I don't see any dirt around, I don't smell anything, and nothing's broken. I like them a lot. I've been in there for one of the activities when they had somebody in with a guitar and singing and having everybody sing with her and do songs like that. It was cute because a lot of the people were happy and were singing. It was fun. They are pricey. But I haven't had anybody tell me anything bad about it. Also, it's your mother, so you want to make sure she's taken care of and she's safe and everything, and that's what it sounds like they're doing. They are pricier than most of the other facilities I've looked at, but they educate themselves in depth on that disease.

Arden Courts of Westlake was pleasant. The people were very pleasant. The facility looked fairly attractive. We met some of the residents. We were there on a Saturday and we met a couple of the employees, and they seemed pleasant and knowledgeable. It has a beautiful outdoor area; I think that's probably the best part of the place. We saw an available room and it was pretty basic, but it looked neat and clean. It's just a small room with a half bath, a bed, and a dresser. There was a shelf on the wall. It was plain. They have a beauty salon, a large shower and bathtub area, and they have activities. The day that we were there, they had a young woman there singing, and she had the residents singing along with her.

We ended up going to Arden Courts of Westlake. They are the most loving and wonderful people. They truly care about my dad. I feel like they are becoming part of our family, even though we can't go in and we can't really get to know them well. It's so difficult with COVID, but they are definitely a wonderful place, loving, and they are going above and beyond, especially with all the extra stuff that they have to do like video calls.

My mother is a resident of Arden Courts in Westlake, OH and I am grateful to have found them. They were recommended to me by Cypress Hospice when my father was dying. I visited the facility and met with the Director, Reggie R. and Memory Care Advisor, Lisa A. They gave me a tour and explained their routines and processes. Everything they do is geared for people with dementia and it was a relief to have their immediate understanding and support. Sadly my father passed away on a Saturday and on advice from physicians, we moved Mom into Arden Courts the following Friday. Needless to say, she was not pleased. The staff worked tirelessly with her to ease her anger and confusion while understanding she was grieving the death of her spouse to whom she was married for 65 years. It was an uphill battle, but they never gave up and today, she is no longer hiding in her room all day. She's eating well, socializing and participating in programming, all the things we had hoped she would do. It's been a difficult transition for us all, because we have not seen Mom since her admission due to COVID 19. Mary Anne R. has been our lifeline through this transition and without her kindness and expertise, we would be lost. Our thanks to everyone at Arden Courts Westlake for the care you provide and the peace of mind you give the families of your residents.

My mother has been at Arden Courts for almost two years. The staff is very caring and supportive. I feel she is being well taken care of, she is happy there, has made friends, and enjoys the staff. The staff has been very supportive to me and our family, has handled any questions / concerns, keeps us up-to-date on how she is doing, and just a great experience overall.

I would recommend Arden Courts to anyone. The staff is well trained in dementia care. The administration was very good with any issues I had and communication was excellent. My mother was a very hard case to deal with and they were very patient and loving. I visited with my mother a lot over the 2 years she was there and I can tell you I trusted them completely.

Mother has been at Arden Court for seven months now. It was so very difficult the day I left her behind in endless tears. But the staff has been so supportive, so great, being the next best thing to my family for me. All my guilt, insecurities, fears and worries are always put to rest one way or another by one of the crew. I can see, when my mother holds out her hand past me to an aid or the staff, I know she is no longer afraid, no longer scared for what she had to try to struggle to remember when she once cried, "but what should do now." I sleep better these days, knowing she is safe, but during this awful horrible disease that robs us of our loved ones in many ways, Arden Court crew has made the pain and loss on this journey toulerable enought for me to live life again, knowing she is getting wonderful loving care. Thank you Arden Court and thank you everyone, for being the wonderful caring crew you are.

I was very impressed with Arden Courts of Westlake. The people there were wonderful and the facility was beautiful. But the entrance way into the facility was not an easy step for somebody who has physical limitations. That was a major concern for my dad because I knew my dad was going to visit probably every day. It's beautiful for the residents inside but getting in and out of it is a challenge. They also had an upfront startup fee that other facilities don't have at the time that we were looking.

I went to Arden Court and to be honest, I loved it. It had everything that I was looking for, but I just couldn't afford it.

Arden Courts is in a very nice area. They have a walking area in a courtyard and it's a secure place. They have really nice and good size rooms, an eating area, an area to watch TV with really large furniture. The staff are very helpful and accommodating and they tried to answer a lot of requests. They have people coming in to do quick care and they have recreational activities scheduled. I guess it would be better if they would allow their residents out, off ground once in a while. I just have a little problem with the high cost.

We were lucky Arden Courts had availability when my mom needed to be quickly moved from out of state. We found a safe place for her to be cared for, as her Alzheimer's disease progressed. Two months later my dad was unexpectedly diagnosed, and we did not hesitate to move him to Arden Courts as well. The staff is very knowledgeable of the disease and have been very supportive of my parents and of my husband and I during this trying time. Each of my parents was piven personal treatment, due to the different stages of the disease they were in. They take away the worry of day-to-day living activities, so we can focus on enjoying visits.
