My mother is currently a resident at Maplewood at Twinsburg. We are very pleased with her care! The staff members at Maplewood are always kind and helpful. It is truly a warm and caring community that feels like family. My mom loves all the daily activities and seems to rarely be alone in her room. She goes to exercise class every morning. She also enjoys doing craft projects. She attends history and current event discussions, cooking demonstrations, and lots of fun socials. She loves traveling on outings with Allie the activities director and a small group of friends. Allie has great ideas for new and interesting places to go. They have so much fun together! Allie is funny and helps everyone to enjoy exploring NE Ohio! The nurses are great also and give very personal attention to each resident. Nurse Tammy gently cared for my mother and kept me informed on a daily basis when my mother was ill recently with a virus. I felt confident that my mom was getting excellent care! Of course, Maplewood is furnished beautifully and is always kept quite clean. The food is delicious and nicely presented at meal time. I highly recommend Maplewood - it’s a wonderful community to call home. We are thankful that we found it for my mom…

Maplewood has been a blessing to our family in the years they have taken care of our father Frank. The staff there has been kind and attentive, always going out of their way to make sure he is staying active, safe, and nourished while respecting his autonomy. They get to know residents on a personal level and understand that needs may differ from person to person, so their care is personalized. They've been flexible in working with us when we want to take Dad out for meals or holidays. The weekly field trips are a fun activity to keep the residents engaged and happy, and they ensure that all residents are strongly encouraged to participate whenever possible. We've seen that since coming to Maplewood, the progression of Dad's dementia symptoms has slowed noticeably; he seems to show no signs of worsening. We're extremely grateful for everything they've done for him and for us.

My mother has lived at Maplewood for the past 11 months and has had a wonderful experience. The staff are all kind and supportive and have made her feel very welcome. My mother especially enjoys the activities and the outings -- these include visits to wineries, parks, picnics, aquarium. The residents are all very warm and friendly. My mother has really enjoyed spending time with them. The food is also excellent --prepared and presented very nicely. My mother has been well taken care of.

Move my sister from one memory care facility to Maplewood. Could not be happier. It was less expensive. The room size was much better complete bathroom and en suite great medical care, and personal care facilities offer dental and beauty shop services. Also in facility medical care. Really good dining experience. Excellent communication with family members.

I highly recommend everything about Maplewood at Twinsburg. The property, exterior and interior, is beautifully maintained. The rooms are spacious and kept immaculate, each with a nice view and climate control. The food was amazing. But the best was the staff. I chose to visit my brother at least once or more every day and I was able to observe at all different times how caring and professional every employee was. I don't think I could have found a better place for my brother.

All staff members are exceptionally friendly and helpful. My Mother has a a full day everyday of possible activities to keep her engaged in the community. There has been a vast number of interesting and diverse trips into the community for special events, Lake Farm Park and Daffodil Hill at Lakeview Cemetery not name a few. My mothers room is a nice size to for her to have many comforts from her previous bedroom while using the number of community spaces for entertaining and being with family and friends. She doesn't always understand her need to be in an assisted living but always mentions how much she enjoys the food, staff and the outings.

I cannot say enough good things about Maplewood at Twinsburg!! My dad originally became a resident of the memory care side of this facility back in 2020 after battling Covid and losing his memory/ability to care for himself. The staff was kind and compassionate and they bent over backwards for my dad to say the least. As a result of his memory issues, he was combative at times and said horrible things to the staff members who were caring for him. Even though this was a very difficult time, they never gave up on him and continued to give him top notch care. After that first year, my dad's memory and faculties returned to the point that he could be transferred to the assisted living side of the community. Fast forward, my dad is still a resident of the Maplewood community and is known and loved by all the staff. They know his likes and dislikes and always go above and beyond to make him happy and comfortable. They strive to help him maintain his dignity and as much independence as possible. Lastly, from the front desk to the aids/nurses and everyone in between, I as a family member of a resident, feel known and loved as well. I am always welcomed with a smile and an interest in what's going on in my life. This community is vibrant, active, welcoming, safe, comfortable and clean. Maplewood at Twinsburg has become an extension of our family and we will be forever grateful for the wonderful care they continue to take of our dad.

My Dad moved to assisted living in Maplewood at Twinsburg about a month ago. He had been very strongly against living in any facility, but due to his dementia, there was no other option for him. Initially, he was loudly vocal about not wanting to stay, but within 4 days at Maplewood he made a complete turn. He enjoys all the activities and fully participates in the physical exercises and is a huge contributor to the group discussions. He always tells me that we can't go back to his room because he might miss an activity that is ready to start. All the staff, especially Morgan, knew exactly what to say to him to calm him and get him to open up to participating. Dad has told me that none of the staff is "negative" - and that is a huge compliment. I am glad that he is in such a warmly welcoming facility that has multiple opportunities for him to actually thrive (not just live) physically and mentally. And I can't neglect mentioning the well maintained and beautiful building and grounds (thanks to Steve), super clean rooms (thanks to Tracie), exquisite dining options (thanks to Chef Ty), multiple interesting excursions (thanks to Allie), and loving personal care (thanks to Marva and the nurses). These people make Dad's stay at Maplewood a pleasure - and he no longer wants to leave!

Mom has been at Maplewood at Twinsburg since 2019 and has received excellent care. Beautiful facility with large resident rooms, great food, and most importantly, caring staff. Mom has dementia and can be difficult at times but the staff is patient and finds ways to work around her defiant behaviors. I am so thankful that we found this fantastic facility.

The grounds at Maplewood at Twinsburg are beautiful. The facility is neat and clean. The staff is compassionate and caring. My uncle is currently a resident and always tells me how good the food is. There are activities going on all day and they also go on field trips. My uncle recently went for a ride on the Cuyahoga Scenic Railroad and had a great time. I would highly recommend Maplewood at Twinsburg.

I moved my husband to Maplewood from another facility in which we were having problems and it was the worst decision of my life to place and move him but in hindsight, I wouldn't have done it any other way. Programs are set up from morning to evening are great for the people. The residents do not always attend but they are invited and do get a fair amount attending. Allie, our program director is excellent at putting unique outings together. The residents and other familiy members seem happy with the meals as we can join in and eat together. The aides are consistent. I spend my time volunteering now because this group of people are so special and I would recommend without hesitation.

Our family always felt like our loved one was taken care of in a professional manner. It’s one thing to have a facility look pretty, but your number one reason for choosing a location is based on the care and compassion of the employees who take care of the people residing there. You don’t necessarily know that when you first arrive, but after two years of having my aunt live at Maplewood, we found this to be true. I believe her welfare and health was always a priority, especially during the period of time when Covid took over our lives.. I felt her room, looked, and had the feel of a bedroom in her home, and not at all institutional I appreciated that she was always looked after, and although her dementia prohibited her from doing a lot of the activities, she was always included in the room where others were participating. The social aspect of being included is very important, and I never felt like she was left alone and isolated. Any time we as a family asked for anything it was always provided. They made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Even the smallest aspect of providing coffee and snacks for us was truly appreciated. It gave us time to share with my aunt. I believe all the departments, especially admissions, front desk, the administrators, nursing staff, kitchen, personnel, and aides all appear to enjoy their work, and that makes a big difference in the care of the residence. If the need would arrive, use this facility again in a heartbeat.

From the moment you walk through the front doors you are greeted with a smile. This facility has helped improve the overall well-being of a good friends mom. She has an adorable apartment, delicious food, wonderful care and even was able to bring her cat! I cannot recommend this facility enough!

My 103 year old step father was living in an assisted living facility on the 4th floor but became overwhelmed with Sundowner Dementia memory issues. We were using private caregivers and also started him on Hospice who advised us to find a Memory Care facility that could manage his condition. It was difficult to find a place because my step father would wander around the floors at night and all the quality places we visited would not take him until we met Morgan at Maplewood at Twinsburg. Within a week we moved him to Maplewood and the care he received was first class from the staff, caregivers and nurses. My step father lived out his final weeks there and I highly recommend Maplewood.

Maplewood at Twinsburg was clean. It's away in the woods. They had a one-bedroom studio that works for my in-laws. We don't need a whole bunch of space for them. It's a picturesque setting that has good memory care. They also had good staff.

Maplewood at Twinsburg was very modern, very updated, and very stylish. Everything looked new and clean. The staff was very professional and of high quality. They were playing bingo when I was there. I saw an area where they have crafts and painting. They offer meals three times a day.

I am writing this review on behalf of a family friend who was a resident at Maplewood because I think it's important for people to know how extremely happy the family was. Our friend was treated with the utmost respect and loving care while he was a resident there. One thing he always talked about was how much fun the daily activities were that were offered along with the field trips where his wife was welcome to join him on. He also raved about how delicious the food was. He enjoyed picking his food from a menu. The family was also given a newsletter that kept them up to speed with everything going on during the month. The facility was always very clean and the grounds outside are absolutely beautiful. When the time comes where our loved ones need to have more care than we can give them at home it's important to know that they are being cared for like we would care for them at home. That was the exact experience our family friends had with their loved one at Maplewood.

The staff at Maplewood Twinsburg is phenomenal. There is a real sense of teamwork and true camaraderie among the directors. Every person is willing to go the extra mile to take care of the residents, and you will never hear "that is not my job" when you request something. I think it is important to stress that I am writing this in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. The staff is stretched to the limit and beyond. Nevertheless, on Easter one director dressed up as the Easter Bunny to deliver candy to the residents and send me pictures. On another occasion, I received pictures from an outdoor activity. These random acts of kindness are common at Maplewood. The staff really cares for the residents. The bottom line is this -- you will not find a kinder or more compassionate group of caregivers than the people at Maplewood Twinsburg.

From the moment I walked in for a tour and was greeted by Emily, I really felt a sense of comfort. The facility is beautiful, but so is the care and the employees. My father loves the food, and he is always engaged in the programming. Julie is always getting them motivated and moving. Each time I have been there caregivers are seen treating my father like they are his as well. It makes me feel good knowing that I made a good decision in his care. With the recent restrictions in place, I feel confident not being able to be present in that he is receiving the best care possible. They also have allowed us to have electronic visits with each other, and he looks just as good as the last time I saw him so I know he is being cared for adequately. I will only refer others in my shoes to Maplewood at Twinsburg, with confidence they would treat their loved one as well as they treat mine.

This facility and their staff have been amazing since day one. From the time I walked in the door and was greeted for my tour with Emily I felt more and more comfortable with the thought of my father moving in. They constantly keep him engaged, and keep family updated on changes needed for his care, or his needs. During this outbreak, i still feel very connected to my dad because I get chances for electronic visits and updates on him. Julie is wonderful with him and I couldn’t be more grateful for her energetic attitude when it comes to getting him to participate in activities. If anyone were to ask for assisted living or memory care options, Maplewood would be my only recommendation.

My experience with Maplewood at Twinsburg was profound in the sense of a well organized senior living facility. The community is super clean and refreshing. In touring many other facilities, this facility stands out in many ways. One Story - easy access, average sized apartments, food looks great and after my tour, I received homemade cookies (tasted just like my mothers) and lots of happy people living there that were out of their rooms and engaged, some even said hello or made it a point to come up to me. Sadly my family cannot afford the monthly cost of this location, but they were so kind to make recommendations of other places that hold good reviews as well. Maplewood is doing good things and should be proud of what they have. I was impressed.

My mother was here for a little less than a year and I would not recommend this facility at all. There is a very high turnover of staff. Directors of the facility are extremely poor with communication...phone calls never returned, emails take over a month to get a response. This facility pays little attention to patients who are physically mobile but struggle with memory issues. They seem to only help those who physically are unable to help themselves. This facility does not develop care plans to meet individual needs even though they will tell you they do when you tour the facility. My mother did not understand where to put dirty clothes and continued to hang them back in her closet and they were not getting washed. But when confronted with this issue, they never did anything to remedy the issue. They put out a monthly activity calendar that they rarely actually carry out the activities listed on it blaming it on short staff at the time of scheduled activities. There is very little actual variety in activities that take place from week to week. This facility also told me that they will work with patients in small groups and not force them into large group activities if it does not interest them. There was never enough staff to have small group activities. They are very quick to send patients out of the facility to hospitals and mental units when faced with challenging situations rather than working with the family and patient to address the problem and find solutions to make the patient comfortable and calm in their environment in an Alzheimer's facility which is what they should be trained to do. Instead they would prefer that the patient be put on medications to calm their behaviors. And, when my mother was sent to the hospital, the facility NEVER contacted her family to notify us that she had been released. We were notified by the hospital 7 hours later. This facility has a clause in their contract that states that they can charge you for 30 days after the patient has passed away regardless if the space is still occupied. I never once felt that anyone really cared about my mother at this facility. She ended up passing away a month ago after they sent her out of the facility to the hospital due to "behaviors" and no one from the facility made any effort at all to offer any condolences to us.

Beware! My mother was a resident for 1.5 years, and then my family had no choice BUT to remove her just before 2019. The Environment was Unbearable. I felt Maplewood in Twinsburg was unable to give great care due to management issues. Management was No Support other than words. The staff was nice and helpful BUT there were NEVER enough aides. The quality of nursing was great & Horrible; My mother’s medicines were NOT given appropriately too many times. And when we asked for an official medical write-up for doctors on how mom was doing, the Executive Director gave either hand-written Note-Papers -OR- a typed sheet with no date or signature. When the Executive Director was not there, many times I did not know who was in charge. My family did not see improvement and before exiting, three wall pictures were stolen from our mother’s room and since management said, due to ceiling monitors not seeing anything (which I was not shown what could be seen), Maplewood let it go with No write-up given to my family. I didn't want to remove mom BUT with continuing situations, we left Unhappy and viewed the value of Maplewood Twinsburg poor!

My wife lives in Maplewood at Twinsburg. I wouldn't have put her there if it wasn't meeting all my expectations. It is very nice. My wife's room is very nice. The staff members who take care of my wife are very caring and very conscious of their jobs. Activities change every day. The majority of the residents are active and interested in the programs. I have eaten there several times, and their food is very adequate, very tasty, and very well presented.

We chose Maplewood at Twinsburg for my mother, and I have nothing negative to say to the place. We were very pleased with the care that they are giving my mom. We were very pleased with the food. Everything she's given is pureed, and that has been our problem in the past, but this time it's very good. The room my mother is in is very spacious. For their activities, people comes in every morning, and they do artwork and painting on canvas which was cool.

My mother-in-law is in Maplewood at Twinsburg. We chose it because they seem to put the quality and care of the residents first. It is relatively new. The food selection and choices are good for the residents. They have daily activities, like yoga and exercise, plus trips, bowling, bingo, crafts, and baking lessons. They have a chapel and a salon. The caregivers and nurses seem to be very well instructed, very nice, very complementary, and very helpful.
