Overall we are very pleased with the care our loved one has received at Danbury. What we especially like is the staff keeps the residents involved with daily activities. They are constantly involved and are not just sitting in their room. The challenge always with a facility like this is human resources and Danbury has this challenge as well, but for the most part the staff is very aware and compassionate. Our loved one is in the memory care unit and we feel he is very safe and secure in this unit. We chose Danbury because of strong recommendations from friends and family. We have been pleased with our choice and would recommend Danbury without reservation.

I cannot say enough good things about Danbury Tallmadge. When walking in the front doors the front desk staff are always very friendly and helpful. The individuals that provide the laundry service and housekeeping know my mom well and work around her schedule and needs. The dining staff knows each resident by name and is very patient and helpful. The maintenance staff have always helped when asked if something is needed. The recreation staff has activities planned each day and really knows each individual. The nursing and aide staff are busy but respond to my mom and provide care as needed. We switched to the doctors Danbury offers and have had very positive experiences-they always call me each time they are with my mom if I can't be present. Danbury is my mom's home and as family we all feel very welcome. They have multiple rooms we have signed out for family gatherings. They host events to include families. There is always so much activity going on and so many visitors coming and going each day. I could not imagine my mom anywhere else.

Chronic understaffing, a blind eye from the new management team towards filling in where needed, and a continuing exodus of staff has many families like mine concerned about keeping our loved one at Danbury Tallmadge. I’m hopeful a focus on not just basic care but also interaction with residents will return; what this facility had going for it in the first place was the staff, after all. It lacks the modern amenities of many other area facilities, but the care and attention of long term staff used to make up for that. We will be moving our family member if improvements aren’t seen quickly. There are some great staff members still there. The activities team is wonderful and no complaints on the cooking. The availability of multiple room options with kitchenettes is a plus, too.

Danbury Tallmadge was very nice. The staff was very friendly. The room was exceptional there. It was a large room for memory care. It had several windows. My mom has been in a wheelchair for several years, but she doesn't use the wheels with her arms, she moves with her feet, so she is not the best at navigating. And the room that the staff showed me had a large right angle as you went in, and I just didn't think my mom could maneuver well there. It was also the most costly of all six that I looked at. However, the staff members were very friendly. It was very nice. It's a newer building.

Mom's room was so much like home. I know she appreciated having all her own items. The staff was very supportive and easy to work with. Mom enjoyed the exercise and music classes the most. The outdoor seating areas were wonderful and provided quiet places to sit and visit. The location of this facility and the warm feeling of the interior made it an easy place to visit and a nice place for Mom.

The entire staff T Danbury was beyond outstanding. I’ve never met a group of people so caring and sympathetic to our situation. They should stand tall and be proud of the people they are and the service they provide.

Dementia is brutal. Watching a loved one slowly decline is heartbreaking and devastating. Having said that, Danbury has been a lifesaver to my mother and our family. When my mother required memory care, she was nervous and very apprehensive. It is a huge change - giving up independence and accepting the inevitable. The aides, nurses and entire staff made her feel welcome, respected, engaged and safe. They have taken the time to learn what she likes and dislikes to eat; the activities she enjoys; how she likes her hair; and the things that bring her happiness. The place is clean and spacious. The food is tasty and the choices are endless. The Bistro is wonderful to visit and listen to the jukebox and enjoy some coffee or some ice cream. They frequently schedule lunches or gatherings for family and friends. The place is perfect!

The team at Danbury Tallmadge could not have been more welcoming. The range of amenities and care options allowed us to gracefully move our aging Aunt into a new home where she is thriving. Her one bedroom studio is a bit small but adequate for a resident with some physical limitations. Exercise, games, music are all featured for every level of ability. Meals are varied and of high quality. Perhaps most importantly, the staff seems to have a genuine caring and upbeat attitude which was missing from from other places we visited. We are hoping our Aunt has a long and happy life with her Danbury family.

I was very impressed with Danbury in Tallmadge. I think it's perfect. The facility was amazing. I want to live there. It's beautiful, and it seems very welcoming. The woman who took me around, when we would pass someone that lived there, she knew their name. It just seemed very comfortable and caring. The staff were very, very good. They have a lot of activities. They have transportation for days out, they go to the grocery store once a week, and they take them out to restaurants if they want. They have in-house health care. It was just a beautiful, welcoming facility. They have a patio so that the residents could sit outside. They have a very nice place out front with some benches and some bird feeders. I met a very nice woman out there who apparently sits out there a lot. She had a squirrel friend, this little squirrel came along, and she was very happy. There are places to be where you're comfortable. The staff were very accommodating, very informative, and very thorough.

Whereas I did not choose to relocate there, the person who showed me the facility and rooms was very professional and answered all my concerns.

I visited Danbury in Tallmadge, it's very clean, everything was very nice, and if we're ready to make the move, I would certainly go there. The rooms were very nice, you could get some with a patio, but there's no washer and dryer. We did have a meal and it was very good, it's pretty new, so everything was nice and clean. They have a library, a TV room, and garage parking if you want to pay extra. They have dances, happy hour, movie nights, and exercise classes. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable.

Danbury in Tallmadge was quite a bit newer and more modern. It has more bells and whistles in the individual rooms. There was more to do in the common rooms, but most of it would probably not be something my mother would be interested in based on her age. The person who gave me the tour was very helpful and explained the different programs they had going on. She gave us quite a bit of information about pricing. The menus and the choices looked very good.

Danbury was pretty and new, but there wasn't a lot of diversity, which is important. The location is in a populated area. That community is perfect for elderly couples who don't want to live in their homes anymore. They have a bar and all the amenities, so you don't have to leave the place to enjoy yourself. There's a room to play games and cards and all those things. Everything is brand-new and state-of-the-art.
