My mother is currently at Carriage House Assisted Living. The care has been fair to good. The facility is very nice and modern. It's a small facility, there are only like 15 people, so it's very close-knit. They play cards, they have movie nights, they have a library, they walk around, they do some exercises, and they have a patio out front. My mother has some concerns about the food. She's OK with it, but she says it could be better. We've had some good and bad experiences with the staff. They could use more staff and they have very minimal transportation. And then if they do, it's really expensive.

Food that is not fit for children let alone seniors with specific dietary needs. Little to no fresh fruit or vegetables Canned foods and cheap starches, hot dogs, food not acceptable for school lunches. No transportation for seniors to appointments unless they requested the skilled care bus that will cost them $60 per appoitment to go less than a mile away. Sad state for what anyone would call senior "care".

My aunt moved into Carriage House Assisted Living. It's nice, it's old, but it's clean. She's been getting excellent care. I just came back from there. She's 125 miles away from me, and I just got home today from seeing her. So I only see her once or twice a month. It's clean. There's no smell. The nurses and the staff are very nice. We've had no problems in the three or four months that she's been there, and they call me if they need anything. I think there are only 16 rooms and only eight or nine people in at this time. So, she gets pretty good individual care too. They have places set up for puzzles, and they send out a sheet for activities. They started, and this is every two weeks, the staff picks a restaurant, and they take their order, and they go out, go to the restaurant and bring in food for them. My aunt complains about the food, but I was there when she ate, and she had a ham and cheese sandwich, fruit and vegetables, and a sherbet. She always complains about the food no matter where she's at.

My Mother lives there in a two room apartment. She has been there for a year. The staff is excellent and caring. They are always willing to go the extra mile. I feel a relief knowing she is safe and cared for everyday. I highly recommend .

We have my stepfather's name in Carriage House. It was very nice. It actually was more like a home. The common areas were like someone's living room. The dining area was very nice. It was completely separate from the nursing home. My stepfather's cousin was in this facility for a long time. You can get a one-room or a two-room. There was a microwave and small refrigerator in each room. It was nice, I think.

I thought the Carriage House was very nice. The staff were very friendly and treated their patients with respect. I also thought it was a very clean facility.

When I volunteered at this facility I was very impressed at how social the residents were and how happy they were to have company. The staff members at this facility were extremely courteous and were very kind and willing to show me around. Carriage House is very clean on the inside and has extremely beautiful landscaping on the outside. I was shown one resident's room to see how they lived and how big the living spaces were. The living spaces were not huge but they seemed adequate for one person. They had their own living room, bedroom, bathroom and even a small kitchen. This was nice to see because if the residents wanted they could maintain a lot of their independence. The facility did have a dining area as well as a game room which had a piano, board games and they had Bingo games every so often as well. I would recommend this facility to anyone because it seemed like the residents were genuinely happy with their living arrangements and how the staff treated them.

While walking thru this facility I saw a clean environment, Happy residents. I wanted to see if this was the right place for my mother for the near future. I walked thru the halls and they were very clean and then to the rooms of the residents. Clean and very inviting. One woman was getting ready to go to the salon to have her hair fixed for a wedding of her great grand daughter and was so excited. The dining room was very cheery and clean. Most residents can cook in their rooms in a small kitchen or go to the dining area and have the food prepared for them . I think this is a nice concept. The nurses and aides were very helpful in answering any questions I had. I really think my mother would really like this facility. I decided to make an appointment and bring my mom. the next week I had my Mom with me and I actually think she loved the place. I do think she was kinda of leery of leaving her home, but after talking with several residents and meeting new people she was on board with our decision. After 6 months of living there I really think we made the right decision.
