I have moved into Richmond Heights Place. It's clean and nice, there's no problem with it. The staff is okay. The ones I come in contact with have been very nice. The only problem I have, as with every assisted living nursing care, is that there are not enough people. One of the bad things is that your care has been cut in half. The room is okay, it's L-shaped. At one end of the room is the bed and table, and there's also another table at the right-side area. On the other side, there's a couch, a TV, a table, and a bookcase. I have my dresser from my home and a nice closet. They have a beauty salon and other amenities. I have not gone to the gym because I have been having care in my room. They have movies and people that do different things, and they have bingo. They clean the room once a week and they shower you sometimes too. There's not enough staff. The value for money is okay, but I think all nursing homes are expensive. The food is okay. I'm not thrilled with the food, it's not bad, but it's not great.

Never fixed anything that broke, toilet, lights, emergency button. We finally brought light bulbs! 3 new owners in the time my mom was there. So many promises that didn't happen. Laundry and cleaning...forget it! We brought her laundry home and cleaned. One worker to 10-12 people. No night nurse on duty. Mediocre at best. My mom passed and I have a credit for almost $200 that I can't seem to get. Was told weeks ago it was in the mail...it doesn't take a month! No activities or bus trips like the first couple months. The Independent Living facility had front doors that didn't lock for over 6 months. Nothing ever gets fixed!
horrible place for your love one

Richmond Heights Place was new, it's clean, and it's a lovely area. The staff there was very accommodating, full of information, and very helpful. I spoke with the cook and they were very proud of their food service. They have social activities with the residents, but there is no swimming pool, gym, or any of those kinds of things. The dining was very nice and they had a courtyard. The grounds were beautiful. The cleanliness was excellent. There was fast food available close by, and there was a hospital probably 20 minutes.

We toured Richmond Heights Place. It's beautiful and nice. It was quiet, which was kind of striking to me. I didn't see a lot of people sitting around even though we went around 6:00 in the evening. So I was kind of surprised I didn't see seniors sitting out, eating, or anything like that, but the place was clean and well-lit. The people we saw seemed very friendly. The staff who assisted me was delightful. The dining area was clean. It seemed like there were a lot of activities like day trips. You're among other people so you know you're not isolated. You can commune, so to speak, as much as you want or as little as you want. That's the impression I got. Also, the fact that they offer three meals a day was good. They had a place where if you chose to cook your own food, you could do that, too. What was also impressive was they had a residents' meeting where they got input from the residents. The person that gave us the tour mentioned residents saying that they wanted X, Y, or Z to eat, and they wanted it prepared a certain way. He talked about how they made changes based on what the residents said. We thought that was good.

I toured the Richmond Heights Place. The rooms were nice. They were really, really gorgeous, and I enjoyed them. I enjoyed going there. It was a good tour. They have different cottages, and it's like a little neighborhood. What we saw was nice common areas, and it looked like they have some outside garden activities. They have access to the outside and that kind of thing. It was very nice. They took us to a couple of different suites, and they were nicely carpeted. It seemed like they had decent amenities. Even though they were studios, they were pretty spacious, so I liked that part. I really couldn't find anything major wrong with them, but my only issue is that I didn't get a chance to talk to the staff. I always like to see how the staff interacts with the residents, and that was the only drawback.

The staff at Richmond Heights Place was lovely. They greeted me in the lobby and asked me who I wanted to see, and then asked me to have a seat. The atmosphere of the place was so beautiful, just sitting in the lobby and looking out the window. One side of it was closed in like a patio. When I started the tour, I saw the entire facility and it was beautiful. The only thing about it was I would have to supply my furniture. I saw the residents doing crafts and some were playing bingo. And when it was time to eat, the dining room doors opened and everybody was in line. The dining room was beautiful. It was immaculate. If I had the funds, that's where I would want to go.

I toured Richmond Heights Place. The rooms are basically like studio apartments. They all had their own shower and bathroom. They were okay. The upkeep seemed well taken care of. Each cottage has two floors. The community areas are on the first floor, the apartments are on the second floor and there's an elevator. They had activities. The staff seemed to be good. Each apartment had its own shower area, and each apartment also had a mini-fridge and a microwave, which I like. They also had a lower number of people per cottage. It seemed like the staff were engaged with the residents. They were doing a lot of activities when I visited, so I like that.

I went to Richmond Heights Place and looked at their independent living and assisted living. It was excellent. I liked everything I saw. I liked the cleanliness, the friendliness of the people who worked there, plus the residents were friendly,, too. They were obviously very happy and I liked the fact that the meals were included, and the size of the rooms. The layout was also nice. It was open, the public areas were nicely laid out, as well as the residents' personal space. There was plenty of room for the furniture that my mother-in-law would need to take with her. Then they have a laundry area and a kitchen area. Everything was clean and well-maintained.

I did a tour of Richmond Heights Place. I like the area that it's located in because it has shops and different things nearby. Even though the meals are provided, if they want to order pizza and not go to dinner, they can do that. Right there in the area, it's conveniently located to a lot of extras. Plus, the site was very, very beautiful. You could just feel good, and you can just feel the energy from the nature and surroundings. It was beautiful outside. The greenery was really nice; it is a very inviting place. I thought it looked modern enough, and the setup was nice. The apartment that they showed us was very nice and homey. It's not like you are in a hospital setting; it's like you were in a small apartment. Their staff, Jennifer was very, very accommodating, and she was very friendly. She answered all of my questions. She was very, very warm, and went over and above. I didn't make it to the first appointment. She made sure that she followed-up with me and not just assume that I didn't want to come. She rescheduled me right away and was there to greet me with coffee and a cookie. I just felt really, really good in her presence. She was wonderful.

My mother was in Richmond Heights Place for rehab. The facility is beautiful, but as far as the care my mother received while she was in there, I was not pleased with it. I'm assuming because they're new, I guess they're trying to get things together, for one instance, they put a pan in the bedpan and forgot about it, they were very bad -- when she rang her buzzer for them to come, it took them too long, and then they're saying, she just rang it or something like that. The social worker there can be very rude, no help in helping you understand the ins and outs of having my mother in the nursing home. She was there a little over ten days.

The tour I had with Richmond Heights Place was very good. The person took me on the tour, showed me the available apartments, and answered all my questions. She was very helpful and it was a very nice place to visit. The apartments were very nice too and I think they're mostly studio apartments. It just had a very nice atmosphere. It was very scenic because it sits off the main road. So, there's a lot of benches where you can go and sit out while enjoying nature. There were lots of trees, plants, and flowers growing around. So, there's a lot of greenery. It's not like you're on the highway seeing a bunch of traffic. I didn't try any meals but they gave me a couple of cookies as a courtesy and they tasted good.

A facility that I would give a very poor rating to is Richmond Heights Place. When they toured me and walked me past staff areas in one office behind the trash can with blood splattered on the wall. It was very dirty, and unkempt. When they walked me towards the dining room, it smelled so bad I had to cover my nose. Everything else looked nice, but I thought if they're letting me see areas so visible that are so slovenly kept, that I would not trust the care of my loved one with them. And when I walked out, the director asked me, "So how do we compare to the other places you've seen?" which is a very awkward position to put the person you're touring in. I thought that was very unprofessional, and I wasn't pleased with that at all. And I instantly, in my little book of check-off lists, wrote a big fat no for them. I didn't see one resident visible. All the doors were shut, and I didn't see one resident throughout my whole tour. So that concerned me. The room was very nice. The building was also very nice, it was built in the early 2000s. It looks pretty, but I wasn't gonna put my friend in there. In terms of food, they also offered two choices. It's the unsanitary conditions, the carpetings was so dirty everywhere. I only met the director, and I met one other staff member that had just won Best Employee of the Month, and she was very nice. They didn't introduce me to many.

We chose Richmond Heights Place for my mother because of the price, and they're remodelling the building that she's going into. I would rate them highly because they're caring and also for the cleanliness of the place. The staff seemed to be very attentive, helpful, and friendly. They've completely remodelled the whole building, and the rooms are spacious. They have a salon. All the meals are included, and they also have housekeeping and laundry service.

My aunt will be moving into Richmond Heights Place. I went there twice. They're very helpful, very pleasant, and very informative. They showed me the dining room, the places people went to get together and talk, and three different apartments. It was very good. They had a lot of different rooms where they can be outside but in a screened-in area, so there were no bugs. It was very nice and everything looked great. She's going to be tested on Tuesday to see what level of healthcare they feel that she would need. They gave wonderful cookies -- the biggest cookies you ever saw -- and they were delicious. I met the chef, and the reception lady was always very cheerful and helpful too. It was just a pleasant situation. It looked very clean. I saw the menu and there was a variety, so I think whatever they're doing, they're doing things in a good way. It was very cheerful, clean, and very cozy looking.

Richmond Heights Place looked clean, and the staff was very friendly. We were able to walk around, while some of the other facilities we could only do a virtual tour. So getting to look around and walk around really helped us make our decision. They gave us a snack when we left. They have daily activities. The rooms were very clean, nice, and big compared to some of the other ones we saw. It had more like a homey feeling. They were more like apartments than rooms.

The person I met with during my visit was very thorough, very professional, and patient, and she answered all of my questions. I do believe Richmond Heights Place is a nice facility. I like the appearance of the building. The outside was very well manicured. The building itself is modern, and the inside was clean and well maintained. It has a lot of curb appeal; it's a very modern facility.

So far my husband is doing very well at Richmond Heights Place. He seems to be getting all that he needs, as far as therapy and going to his doctors goes. So far he has no complaints about the food or the rudeness of the staff. The people I've met have all been very nice, courteous, and whatnot. They said they do offer activities, and they have a schedule that's posted, but he hasn't said anything about taking part in anything. He has a refrigerator and a microwave. He can have whatever he wants as far as snacks go, besides his three meals a day. It is a very nice and clean facility. It is more updated, and I just have a good feeling about it.

We went to Richmond Heights Place a couple of years ago. We liked it. It is convenient to my brother where he lives in Richmond Heights, and my niece who lives in South Euclid. The person who gave the tour was nice, gave us information, brochure, and took us on a tour. The room was clean, nice, and didn't have an odor. My mother wasn't quite set on it at that time because she wanted a 1-bedroom with a living room and dining room, or a living room and a kitchen. The living atmosphere was very nice, and they seemed to offer different kinds of amenities.

We liked it and, if we choose to move forward, that’s the facility we would probably move my mom in. They had daily activities that vary from dance and crafts; they had a lot of different activities. She would have her own apartment. They share bathrooms, but you have a choice. You can have your own individual apartment, or she can have a shared bathroom. It’s nice and you could bring your own furniture. We liked the facility. It’s very clean, the staff was really friendly, and it’s very secure. It’s a nice facility for my mom.

I visited and I was very impressed by the facility -- the assisted living part and the nursing home part. The whole area was a beautiful place for senior citizens to live. The little quarters were large enough for the residents. It was accommodative and safe.
