What you can do with Caring
About Cedar Living at Mayfield Heights in Mayfield Heights, Ohio
The Mission of Aria Senior Living is to enrich the social, physical and emotional well-being of seniors through meaningful relationships and evidence based family homes. Evidence-Based design is the process of basing decisions about care and the environment on credible research to achieve the best possible outcomes. Aria provides a safe and therapeutic environment for resident care and encourages family involvement. We promote efficient team member performance and structured training. Our design elements are constructed to improve the clinical, economic, productivity, satisfaction, and social implications of those we serve. Over the last 10 years, senior care practice has come to recognize the importance of well-designed housing as a foundation to the overall well-being of the senior population. Assisted living communities have evolved to meet the wants and needs of today's seniors, many of them being more resident-focused. Typically, large assisted-living facilities are located in high traffic commercial areas, have low staff to resident ratios, and have a high turnover rate for staff. Aria offers a personalized approach for your loved ones, focused on care, design, safety, and nutrition. Additional Amenity Information
- Special Comment: Aria Senior Living works to combat the stigma of Alzheimer’s disease by engaging others in open and direct conversations, sharing accurate information that overcomes misconceptions and advocating for more support and research. We chose to not “overemphasize” the fact that we primarily serve those with memory impairments. Those we serve to live in a house, not a unit or wing. Aria does not speak in terms of deficits and losses, which only furthers the fear and stigma of Alzheimer’s. We focus on the whole person and their ability to live a quality life.

I toured Cedar Living at Mayfield Heights. The facility was nice and clean, and it was a small community, which I appreciated. The rooms were not too large, which would be very good for my mom. They were simple rooms where anyone could be monitored very easily. It had a nice, roomy, public area for residents to dine, or enjoy activities. It was a pleasure speaking with the administrator. It was more like a home setting. You have a great room for activities, an open format for dining, and a fireplace. It was simple, but very nice, modern, and they had a nice courtyard where residents could walk around, enjoy the gardens, and sunshine. And they had a very good ratio of staff to residents. The staff seemed to be very attentive to the residents. You could see what everyone was doing, and that was good.

I had an in-person tour of Cedar Living at Mayfield Heights. I liked the fact that they were small. They didn't have a whole lot of people there. They were able to answer all of my questions. I liked the fact that it was clean. They had a courtyard and a big indoor dining area. I think it's near a hospital, shopping, and restaurants.
