My relative has moved to The Villa at the Lake. It is very clean, it's very spacious, and very well staffed. The staff is very pleasant, the cost is reasonable, and they take very good care of their patients. So I would highly recommend them. We haven't eaten the food, but we've seen the person we cared for eating, and they liked it very much. They seemed to enjoy it all, with the different meal variety. They do a lot of different things with them on holidays, they create things and crafts, they have an activities director and they do music. Because of COVID, they had to stop activities for about a year, but they did in-house activities and they're starting to open again. The value for the money is reasonable compared to the other places.

My brother was a resident of Villa at the Lake. It's very clean. It was a beautiful building. I was not happy with his care for the last five months. They had him on some kind of meds. His legs were huge, red, and swollen, and I'm not sure what he was on. He was a fall risk because I think he's bound to that. He fell a few times, probably three times in the last four months. Two weeks ago, we went to the emergency room for a fall. Everything was fine and they did a CAT scan. They let him sleep like 18 hours a day. So he only got one meal a day there because they said it was too mean to wake him up. So they let him sleep as long as he wanted. That Wednesday morning, the nurse said he was lethargic, couldn't wake up, and so she sent him back to the emergency room because she was afraid of his fall the night before. Then, when the emergency room said there was nothing wrong, they refused to take him back. So we were scrambling to try and find someplace. The hospital admitted him for two days until the other facility said that they would help him and assist us. I'm not happy with his care for the last few months. And now he was homeless. The Villa made him homeless. So I would not recommend the Villa. There are a lot of folks there not in the memory ward but it's just the family's concerns as soon as we voiced concerns, that's when it seemed like he had a target on his back. We're just really working to get him out of there. I mean, way before he had his falls, last summer, last fall, the other head nurse told me that I should start looking for another place for him.

The staff are all really super. If you can’t care for your family member at home, this is where you should consider. The rooms are maintained well, the food is good, the decor is fresh, the nursing staff are excellent and everyone has been really nice and professional. The outdoor spaces are lovely and plush and the activities seem to be pretty good. My mom is doing quite well and we are confident she is in an excellent place. We have seen many places in the area and this is top notch.

My brother is living in The Villa at the Lake. The general appearance is fantastic, and the staff is excellent. It by far exceeds all the other places I've visited. The food is good. They have bingo, chair exercises, and outings.

The Villa at the Lake is a top notch facility with the highest quality of care and the most dedicated, caring, and compassionate staff I have ever met. My parents are current residents at the Villa and they are treated with great dignity and respect. Staff here have a passion and dedication that is beyond words starting with the executive director, Deanna F. to each and every department and to each and every employee. How do you get so many wonderful people all working at the same place?! Service is extraordinary. The Villa encourages residents to stay active and mobile which has done wonders for my parents. It has changed their lives. They have done more at the Villa in less than a month than they did all last year. The Villa offers lots of daily activities (daily exercise class is my mom's favorite) which is great stimulation to participate and interact with others. My parents eat very well, sleep well, exercise regularly, socialize and keep active, all things that make their lives so wonderful and happy. I could go on and on about the Villa at the Lake and every person who works there. The Villa is a piece of heaven on earth for our most precious seniors and I can't say thank you enough for the wonderful care given to my parents. Robin Williams

What a great place for respite care! I stayed at the Villa while I was recuperating from surgery and it couldn’t have been a better choice for me. Living alone presents many challenges after a surgical procedure. The Villa provided an atmosphere of healing and level of comfort that helped me until I was able to ‘go it alone.’ Having a place where I was nurtured and cared for made the transition back into ‘normal’ living so much easier. From the moment I arrived, I felt pampered. The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive in making certain my comfort and safety were a top priority. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a lovely view from the large picture window. The food was excellent: well prepared with lots of choices and variety each day. And I was surprised, not only at the quality of the food, but also the aesthetics of its preparation. There were also activities every day and a lovely place to walk around the grounds. This was especially helpful to me in speeding my recovery. I am grateful that Conneaut has such an amazing facility available for respite care. Because I was able to spend this time in the presence of such caring people and wonderful service, I am now back home. I feel a deep sense of appreciation for each and everyone at the Villa who made this possible. Thanks to all at the Villa, for a very successful stay.

My Mom is currently at the Villa and has been there since last September. She thoroughly enjoys the activities and the outings in their brand new bigger van. The outings are season appropriate, for example, a trip to the apple farm in the fall and rides to look at the local holiday lights around Christmas. Deanna, the director, makes it a point to integrate the residents with the community which makes for multi generational exposure. Examples include: Halloween trick or treating for the residents' grandchildren and the staff's children, and a meal and pep rally for the local high school football team and cheerleaders, There is musical entertainment several times a week, bingo or dominoes daily. They just had a food show in the great room last week. All the staff know my Mom by name and greet her accordingly. The meals are tasty, plentiful, and varied. The selections are made from scratch, especially the desserts. The broccoli salad I had was delicious and fresh and the banana cake was moist and tasted great! The cafe is wonderful as the residents can have a sandwich, fresh fruits, drinks, snacks, 24 hours a day. I have another family member at a different facility and the Villa's food wins hands down in all categories and the activities are also more well thought out and varied. Any issues with my Mom are addressed and remedied. I have all been very pleased with her care and everyone's concern about her well being. The staff from the directors on down are dedicated and caring. I would recommend the Villa at the Lake to anyone!

We were very impressed with Villa at the Lake, and my brother likes it very much. They have three different sized apartments. The rooms are sufficient, and we're quite pleased. He really enjoys the food. We have eaten there, and it's very good. The staff that I have talked to and worked with seemed very professional. He does exercise and yoga classes. They have bingo, and they have entertainment come in several times weekly.

I was able to get a tour and got information at Villa at the Lake. I love the place and I would like to move in there myself. Their rooms are beautiful and spacious. Everything looked sparking clean. Their dining area is more like going to a restaurant. They have big high back chairs and you have menus to order from. They also have a very nice person that does the craft. They have all kinds of crafts going on. Everybody was just overly pleasant. It's a very active facility. What I like about them also is that they have a security system set up.

The Villa was clean and nice. The rooms were small, and there were a lot of double occupancy rooms.
