My mother has moved into Sanctuary Grande in North Canton. The interiors are very nice. It is clean. The admissions staff is accommodating and focused on problem-solving. The rooms themselves, size- wise, there's a variety. My mom has the smallest room because it was the only one available, but they have larger rooms. There's a lot going on. They have bingo and social hour, like a happy hour. There's an option if they want like a glass of wine, but there's an activity with that. The first day she was there, like on move-in day, they had someone from the community come in, like an Italian restaurant, and share their appetizers and describe things about the menu. It was so much fun. My boyfriend had gone down at one point and said they were hooting and hollering. I said, "Did it scare you, mom?" She was like, "No, it was so fun." The social hour is so active and fun. They have an exercise. There's a lot more participation than in other places. Usually, either no one comes or three people come and then that's not fun for her. She doesn't want to go then, but this place, there are like 20 people that come and then that's fun. The price seemed lower as they were telling me what it was going to be, but when I got the bill a couple of days ago, it was not lower, it was the same as what it was at the other place, so that did strike me as strange. Value for money is good.

Our Dad has lived at the Sanctuary Grande for a little over a year, and we are extremely happy with the entire experience. The staff, including front desk personnel, dining room workers and cooks, nursing staff and aides, administration, and others, are genuinely caring and capable. It is such a relief knowing Dad has immediate access to care, and moreover, has constant interaction with the other wonderful residents. There is a wealth of life experience there and we have all been enriched by interactions with staff and residents. Also, the food is GREAT! Everyone in our family enjoys sharing meals with Dad, not only because of the great company, but the cuisine as well!

Excellent rooms, staff was involved and compassionate. Took care of any issues and kept us informed of developments/ changes/issues. Note our loved one could be difficult / annoying to deal with. I would highly recommend this facility to take care of your loved one on their journey in life.

I had a lovely tour at Sanctuary Grande. The staff were so kind and welcoming. We were offered lunch following our tour and I was amazed at the food choices available. Sanctuary Grande felt so alive; chair exercises being led by a staff member, residents completing puzzles, the salon was full, and multiple residents sitting on the front patio having conversations. I will not be looking any further; Sanctuary Grande is where I want my sister to be!

The resident care by administration, staff, nurses, aides, servers, life-enrichment staff, and facility maintainers is exceptional. Life-enrichment activities are professionally staffed and organized. Resident rooms in Memory Care neighborhood are very ample space. All the common spaces are exceptional for residents and staff to be together including Living room, Dining room, Sun room, Activity room, another large, comfortable seating and activity area.

The apartment my mother is in is a nice size for her — separate living area, kitchenette and bedroom with walk-in closet, and a bathroom that accommodates her needs. The apartment includes a modest-sized balcony, which is one of her favorite features since she loves the outdoors. The staff are very patient and accommodating, and tailor the care and attention provided to the care needs of my mother as her care needs progress. We have always sensed a good positive vibe from the staff during our visits — an example set by the Executive Director, Chief Nurse, Facilities Manager, Restaurant Manager, Marketing Director and Receptionist. The meals are nutritious and right-sized. It is convenient to join your loved one for a meal. The facility and staff have incorporated attention to detail in order to provide convenient services, social interaction, and entertainment — such as hair salon on-site, activities, broadcasting major sporting events, etc.

I was looking for a spot for my mother after a fall. I looked at a couple different places around the area and none came close to the sanctuary. The staff were so friendly and amber helped us through the difficult process. After being there for a little bit now my mother has nothing but great things to say about the food and the compassion that she is showed by everyone that is there to help. If you are looking for a place that will care for your loved one the way you would, I would highly recommend the sanctuary.

This facility truly looks out for their residents. There are always questions that come up as time goes on, but the staff/nurses do try to help get answers. The nurses are caring. There are “levels” of nursing care that needs addressed with new residents. There are aides for special assistance. Sometimes staffing shortage is a problem that many businesses still encounter. The Sanctuary is a very bright, welcoming place as you enter, and the activities room and pub are a great gathering place for all residents and visitors. Each resident gets a daily activity sheet, and we encourage her to join in (though sometimes she just isn’t interested). My mother’s room is pleasant, especially decorated with all her own personal possessions. With an appointment, she can walk down the hall to get her hair done so we don’t have to take her out. There is a lovely parlor on each floor — a library, and ice cream parlor on her floor. Sitting outside on lovely days are available in the front entry or back patio. The dining room is lovely and puts out a monthly menu along with an additional regular menu if you don’t like the daily special. Having a good meal is something my mother looks forward to. Bottom line is that much is available— but the will to do it must be there also — of course, their age and mobility has a lot to do with desire.

Variety of room configurations. Kitchens or galley arrangements are available. Rooms comfortable and kept in very presentable conditions. Staff workers and care aides are pretty hard workers. They listen when there is a concern from the residents/family members. Exercise/recreational activities offered most days. Music programs, speakers , day trips, movies , happy hours, and special themed parties are enjoyed by most everyone who can participate. There is a fitness room, movie theater, library , nice dining hall and bistro, hair salon, living room areas for variety of get-togethers , outdoor patios and an art area.

We moved my father into the Sanctuary Grande in July and he seems very happy there! Clean and cheerful atmosphere! He can even cook in his apartment if he wants. The residents and staff have made him feel very welcome! They have a lot of activities for the resident to participate in!

My mom will be moving into Sanctuary Grande. We liked it because of the food and amenities. They have a lot more choices and a lot more offerings. The rooms were very nice and more spacious than a lot of them. The views were better, and the kitchens were a little bit smaller than some of the other places we looked at. But overall, nicer rooms, and better view; and the person who gave us a tour was very nice and answered lots of questions. They have activities, and my daughter was very impressed with a freezer that they have in the residence craft room that family members can help themselves with novelty ice cream treats. She may have sold grandma on it because of that.

Sanctuary Grande is very nice. My parent's one-bedroom is nice and so far they like it. The staff has been nice and friendly so far. The dining area is very nice and they've been very pleased with their meals. My father has physical therapy a couple times a week, but the facility has a lot of activities.

Sanctuary Grande was very nice and very elegant. The person who accommodated me was wonderful. The dining room was elegant. There were ladies doing crafts on one of the floors. The rooms were beautiful.
