My Mother-In-Law spent several weeks there during August of 2023. I'll hit the worst lowlights because to list all would be exhaustive. -UTI wasn't checked for 1 1/2 weeks after the doctor placed an order for it. Had to threaten to call an ambulance to take her to the hospital to get it done. -Didn't shower her for a month, then, only did the day she left. -Daily had to tell them to wrap her legs due to swelling and then to change them because of seeping. -She was discharged with a catheter in (needed to check for UTI 2 weeks earlier). Also, discharged with a pic line in her arm. -Insurance covered another week of physical therapy, no one at the facility told us and they left her go too soon. I only rated it 1 star because I had to at a minimum.

I was transfered to this facility from another nearby one and was there 20 days in November and eight days in Dec. of 2022. I was in my room alone which worked out for me very nicely and my great husband was there to visit me each and every day. The whole staff took care of my needs not only with twice a day therapy to make me get stronger with Helen and Mary Jane helping along with others but meds also delivered right on time as I needed them for pain I was in sometimes by charming Taylor or by Cindy or others as everyone came in the room with smiles on their faces and made you feel like you were the most important person there. Meals were delivered three times a day with a variety of choices available delivered by Samantha, Rebecca and Joy that I remember but many staff members were in and out to remember all the names. I also would like to mention Dr. Franz who also checked on me and how I was doing and always had a good and happy attitude . Whenever most all of the staff would come in the room and see my husband there with me, they would offer him coffee which was nice. As a plus also, if he had any questions of my situation or status, they were able to tell him as knew what was going on with me. Melissa was also a help to my husband in answering any questions. I would definitely recommend this facility for needed help for your loved ones.

Absolutely horrific facility. Thought I would lose mind over arguing with Susan so much over the lack of care or concern for my dad. You are told he suddenly has dementia, but it was actually SEPSIS. Big difference! He was forgotten and ignored often- He fell several times, soiled self several times, needed help eating and given none, and barely cleaned his room. He was only supposed to be there 3 to 4 weeks. After 7 weeks was rushed back to the hospital with what we were told was covid related issues, but our family was specifically told it by the hospital it was due to sepsis and pneumonia from NEGLECT of medical care!! He died a week later under hospice care because of all the damage his body suffered. THIS PLACE NEEDS CLOSED!!

My father was in this rehab facility for only 4 days THANK GOD! I pity anyone who gets sent to this place, the staff was non-existent, the nursing staff talked down to us like we were idiots. The worst thing tho was watching my Dad get shoved aside and his needs ignored. The ONLY person there who did right by my Dad was the PT lady, she was the best! 1st day there my Dads toilet was clogged and NOT ONE person helped to remedy this, I myself found a plunger and got it unclogged! DO NOT send your loved one to this place!

I am so grateful for the Altercare Nobles Pond team of healthcare professionals--emphasis on care. Everyone who has helped care for my mother--who is now in hospice--has been professional and compassionate. I wish I could remember everyone's name because each and every team member whom I have met deserves appreciation and commendation. Thank you to the nurses, including Jody, Michelle, and Jean for being so cheerful, observant, and responsive. Thank you to the Aides, including Paige, Heidi, Mahogany, Alexi, and Mandy, for treating my mom as if she were a member of your family. Thank you to the management, including Brenda and Sean, for caring for your residents and their families. Thank you to the woman who provides such reliable care with the laundry--you care for my mom and her clothes as I would. Thank you for those who keep my mom's room clean and pleasant to visit--it can't be easy to come clean up yet another spill, but you do it with grace. Thank you to Deborah and the others who work at the reception desk. You smile, remember my name, and offer a kind word, which can make all the difference on days when my mom isn't doing well. Thank you to each and every member of this team. When you care for my mom, you care for the whole family.

My father just passed away after being at AlterCare Nobles Pond for almost three years. The care and compassion the staff showed for him was remarkable. They not only showed him love, respect and professional care, they also were extremely compassionate and helpful to my mom and sister who frequently visited. I live 7 hours away, but every time I visited I told the staff how great they were. They do not hear that enough. The things they did daily to make my dad comfortable were truly life giving. My dad never complained about his care but rather spoke regularly about how great the staff was. I would like mention just a few of them by name and say thank you. Mandy, Susan, Tamara, Cindy, Kathy, Helen, Fran, Tyler, Mara, Cody and Dr. Norch. Thank you for how you made my dad's last years so good. I would not hesitate to have my mom or any relative reside at Nobel's Pond. Also, I have worked in the healthcare. field and been in many LTC facilities. Many have bad odors and unfriendly staff. That is not the case here. Our family will be forever grateful to these folks.
No complaints and lots of good done there

Our parents were 94 and 92. They shared a room. Dad was mobile, and Mom was bedridden. Our experience was really quite good. I think the food wasn't the best, but they aren't a restaurant and they have so many people with special needs, they likely fix food without much salt and seasonings. And seniors need more seasonings if they are going to taste it! The nurses and aides were very kind to our parents. They came in as often as you could expect, and they answered bells quickly...once when Dad was in the bathroom and needed help. Yes, there are somethings that they missed from home, but they had, in exchange they had people there around the clock. It makes me sad that people complain and can't utter anything that was right and good. I even went back a few times just to thank them again after our parents left. Just very nice and capable help!

I wouldn't allow my dog to be warehoused in this facility. We removed my mother from this "healthcare" facility when she continued to deteriorate and her care didn't improve after a meeting with several key senior staff members six days into her stay. Here's a rundown of the problems we experienced from the time that my mother was admitted from Aultman hospital for rehab at AlterCare Nobles Pond: 1. She did not receive her meds for two days after she arrived. We were lied to by the on-duty nurse regarding her prescriptions. She said that "Aultman hospital never should have released her" to AlterCare "without sending her with meds". No hospital ever send a patient's meds out the door with them! Key staff in the meeting told us that the nurse on duty was from a staffing agency and they would "look into it". Upon removing my mom from their "care", I saw the same nurse on duty that morning a few days after the meeting. 2. On day 3, I was asked to go to my mother's home to pick up a script for her since they didn't have it available. 3. My mother buzzed her emergency ringer for help with getting to the bathroom and had to wait over an hour several times. One time she vomited while waiting for help and then called me. I drove over and actually beat their staff to her room! 4. She was on a restricted diet which was rarely adhered to - she was skipped for meals on more than one occasion and her food orders were almost always wrong. How hard is it to bring oatmeal in the morning??? They screwed that up for 4 days straight. She asked for fruit and was told they had none. 5. My mother had been continually vomiting what little she could eat and they gave her anti nausea meds - which she also threw up. This was a symptom of a huge problem which they did not recognize or diagnose (see more below). 6. She didn't see a physician for 7 days and then only had a cursory visit of less than 10 minutes. I asked for the results of the visit on the next day and was told they did not know what, if anything, was found. I was told that the nurse who was supposed to be accompanying the doctor on her rounds was called away and was not in the room when my mother was seen. 7. I asked for the nursing notes to be sent to another facility for a review. Upon review of the notes, I was advised to remove my mother ASAP and take her to an ER. 8. We transported her the Akron General / Cleveland Clinic ER where they immediately discovered she had five separate abscesses in her stomach which would have led to her death if left untreated. She then had irrigation tubes placed into her stomach to drain the infected abscesses. AlterCare Nobles Pond basically warehoused my mother for over seven days and did nothing to provide the care necessary for the symptoms she was presenting. They are horribly understaffed...many of the workers, including nurses, are from a staffing agency. They will actually volunteer that they are not AlterCare employees and they just don't care or follow up with anything you request. In my opinion, without us advocating for her, she quite likely would have died while in their "care". She spent an additional six days at General / Cleveland Clinic for treatment before being released once again to another rehab facility which we vetted extensively. I can not stress this enough...please do not entrust the care of a loved one to this place.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to a sick dog. No one came to help for an hour of pushing the call light. Medication was repeated not given as prescribed. The patient had Parkinson’s and required special care wish they promised her. The staff was mean inpatient and heartless except for a few. This place was labeled as a 5 star. We had to go above their heads daily. This place needs shut down.

The staff at Nobles Pond are helpful, professional, caring and thorough. This facility stood tall in our search for a rehab center and my family was not disappointed in our decision. Thank you Nobles Pond for offering a clean safe environment for our family member.

I think of this facility as one of the best I have been in for rehab. I have not had any member of the staff treat me with disrespect in any way whatsoever. From the nurses to the girls in the office, the aides and helpers, they have been super! These people are very professional they do their job and do it well. Sometimes it takes a little while to get to you but I have never waited for a half hour. I know i’m not the only patient in this place and can understand some wait time. I do not understand some of these reviews.....I have been in and out of hospitals and rehabs for years and I cannot say anything bad about this place. I am currently a resident and have been here for 2-3 weeks. I would put any member of my family in here and would recommend nobles pond! If in the future I am in need of getting back on my foot, this will be my first choice!!

Very bad service. Pushed the call button for a nurse and 30 minutes later still no response. When she did come she said they are under staffed.

My mother was a resident of Altercare of Nobles Ponds for a little less than 2 weeks, she arrived from the hospital with the hope of rehabilitation in order to receive treatment for cancer. Unfortunately she was just too ill to get stronger. The Lord needed another angel in heaven. I can't say enough about the quality of care my mom received while at Nobles Pond, this facility is clean, comfortable and above all else has an excellent staff that took the best care of my mom! Thanks to all of you that took the extra time to show that you cared!

I am glad my mom is of sound mind and can communicate. The care is subpar and we have had many issues including, laying in feces and urine, not being wiped, aide tried to pull her up by waistline on pjs instead of using a gait belt, didn't roll her every 2 hrs, ridiculous response times to call light. So bad that my mom used her cell phone to call the front desk and ask someone to please come help her instead of turning off call light and not come back for what she needed. I am losing sleep because of this place.

My family is on day 5 of dealing with this facility after my grandmother was brought here after back surgery. So far we have dealt with missing clothing, unsanitary bathrooms, a fall from bed and inappropriate staff talking about and mocking the residents within ear shot. My grandmother is in for "rehab" which this facility provides 30 minutes a day which is doing nothing for her and appears to be totally stunting her recovery. She has fallen out of bed and it is unclear how long she was there until staff came to get her. After having an accident she was mocked by the staff, her sheets were not changed only the pads and she was left to stay in the soiled sheets. As most families are extremely anxious of having to put a loved one in this type of facility Altercare is a prime example of why people are apprehensive. The care they have provided in this short time for my family member is the type of care that people are horrified to hear of yet unfortunately do ocurr at places namely Nobles Pond. My family will be pulling her out as soon as possible and getting home care. This facility is what people fear for their loved ones please steer clear

Altercare of Nobles Pond has served my mother and grandmother well. The staff is very friendly and helpful, both to visitors and to patients, as are the doctors and/or who are also very knowledgeable. If there is a subject or issue that you feel you or your loved one needs further assistance with, the staff is very receptive and willing to investigate and/or research the matter further. Although my grandmother is no longer at the facility (she has since passed), my mother is still a resident and requires significant care. The staff has familiarized themselves with my mother's specific needs (she has Multiple Sclerosis) and taken steps to make my mother's stay more comfortable. The facility is very clean every time I visit (daily and at various times of day). The staff always tries to incorporate everyone into any activity or entertainment that is going on. The facility also plans themed birthday parties for the patients, going so far as to bring in outside entertainment for the festivities. There really seems to be a sense of community. There are both long-term and short-term wings to the building, providing care to patients requiring extended stays or those requiring only a bit of time for rehabilitation. I would recommend this facility to anyone requiring care for themselves or for a family member.
