My father has been in this facility 3 times over the past 6 or 7 years, with broken hip, knee surgery, And stroke, and i can say that each time they have worked hard and provided excellent compassionate care, while he was there. I would recommend this place for anyone, especially if you have one of the above conditions.

When visiting I found my grandmother to be uncared-for and unchanged from the night before at 1 in the afternoon, including an adult diaper. I escalated this to the nursing director who failed to follow up.

I've been in Briarfield Manor for two years now, and I’m improved since 2015. The staff members are good, professional people. The therapy staff is outstanding. I would rate them at least 4 and the physical therapy a 5. The nursing staff and the aide staff, all of them are good. I’m a member of the residents council, and they try to keep up with things. Overall, I recommend the place.

The care was horrible. Every time I visited, I had to clean my mothers bedside commode. Rude care gingers. No one identified themselves. Biggest mistake my mother ever made was going there.

The facility itself was not bad, maintenance wise, but the staff was horrible. It was almost impossible to find anyone who worked there to help you out. My Mother would hit her call button for assistance, and it would usually take them around 40 minutes to even respond. Then they would come in and ask what she needed, then take another 40 minutes to come back with her medicine, or water, or blanket, or whatever it was that she needed. There was always people yelling out things like "help me". It sure didn't seem like anyone was ever helping them. There were signs everywhere saying that the doors were locked after 8pm for security reasons, and that you would have to visit by entering the main entrance, but the doors were never actually locked. So clearly it wasn't very secure. Also, their idea of therapy was pretty primitive, to say the least. They didn't even provide my Mother with compression hose, even though they were clearly written on the doctors orders from the hospital. So needless to say, she had a horribly swollen leg, which they did nothing to help. All in all, it was a horrible facility, with horrible staff who had no sense of urgency. I would not reccommend that place to anyone for any reason!
