My father was a resident there for the final two months of his life. Brain cancer left him unable to do a lot until the staff here started working with him. They truly made a difference in the quality of life he had while he was there. The staff treated him with dignity and respect and were incredible to be around. I wouldn't hesitate to move a family member there should the need arise.

I'd give them zero stars but that's not an option. HORRIBLE facility!!! You ask for something and it takes them HOURS to get it for you. My dad was there a short time and you can't even call what he received "care". They don't care. Don't take anyone here! They didn't even know his medical conditions. They don't check on them. He had to call my mom in the middle of the night to come change his ostomy bag when it was leaking, they didn't know he had a blood clot and it's in his chart, took them 2 hours to get Tylenol for him when he needed it, and a whole list of other things. WORST REHAB EVER!!!!!

The rooms were dirty. Some staff was not concerned about what I needed left on the bed pan for thirty minutes with a broken leg which caused more pain. My bed was wet from a bloody leaking incision and from sitting on the bed pan and trying to get off for several hours. My saving grace was Alex the physical therapist. She cleaned me up and changed my bed. I left the facility the next morning.

The rooms are nice however, the upkeep on them are terrible. They are not cleaned, bordering on disgusting . Mother fell and broke her hip. While she was in the hospital we stopped in to pick up pajamas for her. We were in disbelief of the filth of her room. I took pictures and sent them to the staff. We never did get a response. When we were allowed to visit, we took it upon ourselves to clean. We don’t have that opportunity now. Most residents complain about the food. We send food on a monthly basis or get them take out from local restaurants. The Assisted Living area is just like the rest of the facility. Very short on staff. When our mother fell and broke her hip, she could not get ahold of anyone in the facility. She had to call me 4 hours away to try and get ahold of a staff member to check on her. Once I did, they helped her up and told her she was ok. She called back later and said she could not stand the pain. Had to call back to the nursing home and have them call for an ambulance to take her to the hospital where it was shown to have a broken hip. There are no activities scheduled for the residents. I have made numerous suggestions to the Administration to ease help ease our mind when it comes to the care our love ones receives. Never a response. At this time we are looking into moving both parents into a different facility.

When we first placed our father in this facility they provided a locked down unit especially for dementia patients . After about a year, these patients were moved to the general population. The rooms are spacious enough however, housekeeping does a poor job in keeping them clean. The bathroom always smells of urine. The floor if always sticky throughout the whole room. We have taken cleaning supplies and cleaned the room ourselves however since the Covid outbreak, we have have not been allowed inside the facility. This has been over a year. I have asked the staff to FaceTime once @ week so we would know how our loved ones are doing but I received no response from them. Communication with staff is very poor. They never follow through with any type of request. As far as activities, at first the staff would have different activities for the residents. Over the past few years, they have nothing. The site does have a hairdresser however again with Covid, that amenity has been shut down since March 2020. The staff is less than caring. Administration, the same. When first placing our loved ones in the facility, we were very happy. Over the past few years with new administration taking over, this facility has went downhill quickly.

My sister went to this facility because of loss of strength from UTI. The UTI came back and they ignored our requests to get her to the hospital and put her on iv antibiotics. She ended up with build up fluids with blood in the urine and undo stress to her kidneys. After 4 days in hospital and even more loss of strength our family is trying another facility in the area and hopefully we can undo what they caused on her health. Would not recomend anyone you love go here.

I visited Austinburg, and I liked it because I actually had my grandfather there. I love their staff, and I like that they keep the residents busy. I was able to go in anytime of the day and night. They play games, go on field trips, and have music therapy.

This facility has to be the best kept secret around the area. I have worked in Nursing Homes, as a nurse, and I have never been so impressed! It is clean, well staffed with caring individuals and has a great many activities for anyone who desires to be involved. This is a dream come true for anyone who wants the best for their family member or friend.
