We toured Stone Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care. One thing we really liked was the size of it. The rooms were nice in size, and the place itself was very quaint. I forget how many rooms there were, but my mother-in-law's only two doors down from the dining room, which is very nice. She's only about three doors down from the entertainment area and center, so she's in a wonderful position there. She's going to love it there. Debbie was very cooperative. Anything we asked, she knew the answer to. She was very easy to talk with. They have game night. They have bingo night. They have an area where they get together and put puzzles together and things like that. Those were all things my mother-in-law's going to take advantage of and enjoy.

I had an in-person tour of Stone Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care. I like the fact that residents were easily accessible by staff, and the ratio of staff to residents was good. The whole facility looked clean and smelled good. The price was kind of between most of the other places. I think it was a little high, but not excessively. The presenter there was really good. She did a nice job. They have overall cleanliness. The fact that they were prepared, and gave us a copy of activities, menu, and the whole works. Not a scientific way of saying it, but we had some good vibes there.

We've signed and tentatively put a deposit down on a suite in an assisted living at Stone Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care for both my mom and dad. It's a small community. They both have memory care and assisted living. It was the only place that would perform peritoneal dialysis and accept my mom's level of care needs, at the same time and allowing my father to move in with her. They can also stay there through end of life. If they have to transition to Medicaid, they can stay in the same facility, which was pretty unique in itself. I've only met a few of the staff, but they're all very friendly. It's a smaller facility and it seemed to be very family like. They have daily activities. They are beginning to go back to more activities where it takes the residents out of the community. We've just seen the menus, and it looked pretty appetizing. The suite that they they have a deposit on was very large and enough for two people. It's comfortable and almost like an apartment style living. I would think that the residents would get to know each other very well. From the activity board that I could see, it looked like a nice variety of things for them to do.

I really like Stone Creek. It's got a memory care unit, it's clean, and it's a very nice facility. If we have decided to put my dad and mom somewhere, that's where they would be. The rooms were nice. The amenities were nice. It had a beauty shop and a dining area. We saw 2-bedrooms and 1-bedrooms, and we saw the memory care. Security was very good. They had landscaping outside, and they had a little area in the spring and summer that you can go out.

Admissions will say anything to get you in the door. They will keep your loved one as long as you are paying cash and an "easy" patient. When you need more care, you will be kicked out. When you can no longer pay cash, you will be kicked out. Beware, go elsewhere.

We had a tour at Danbury in Alliance. They were a total non-smoking facility, and my brother smokes. That was probably the biggest issue, plus the price.
