Bridgeway Care Center is focused on the promotion and maintenance of exceptional senior healthcare and rehabilitation of the elderly. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, our nurses are responsible for implementing physician orders, making medical assessments, and keeping residents at their maximum health potential, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Permanent aide assignments are provided for more personalized care. A full-time, licensed clinical social worker is on staff to assist residents and their families with the often complex psychosocial needs related to the aging process. We also have a staff psychiatrist, dentist and podiatrist. Tastefully appointed semi-private and private rooms are located within close proximity of the nurses' station, and each room is equipped with an emergency response call system, individual climate control, telephone and television jacks. Pleasantly decorated lounges are located through- out the facility for the comfort of our residents and their guests. Bridgeway Care Center is accentuated by beautifully landscaped outdoor courtyards, as well as a sunny indoor all-season atrium. Among the on-site amenities at Bridgeway are a full-service beauty salon and barber shop, physical therapy area, house- keeping and laundry facility, and pharmacy; Our elegant dining room seats residents in a gracious, comfortable setting with attentive hospitality and extensive menu selection as its mainstay; Breakfast, lunch and dinner are pre- pared daily under the direction of our full-time Registered Dietician, with customized diets tailored to each individual's needs. Therapeutic recreation is vital to an active, fulfilling lifestyle for the residents of Bridgeway. Our programs are developed by a Certified Activities Director and administered in conjunction with dedicated community volunteers. All programs are geared toward our residents' abilities and interests… from coffee socials to bingo and book clubs… lottery games to golf and pizza parties. The Activities Department sponsors arts and crafts, movies, lectures and themed events throughout the year. Bridgeway utilizes a modern, full-sized bus, equipped with a wheel-chair lift, for off-site excursions to such venues as Radio City Music Hall, Liberty State Park, The Circle Line, and Hunterdon Hills Playhouse. At Bridgeway Care Center, visitors are always welcome, and we encourage family gatherings as part of the social and emotional well-being of our residents.
