Talmadge Park is a newly furnished 90-bed rehabilitation and nursing facility that has been providing quality long-term, short-term and rehabilitation care to families of the New Haven county and shoreline communities for more than 30 years. We first opened our doors in 1979 converting a closed elementary school into a place of caring for those who require 24-hour nursing and medical assistance. We are situated on several acres within a quiet residential area of the shoreline town of East Haven. Our center rests on a cul-de-sac adjacent to a town recreation site. Right off of Interstate 95, weOur mission at Talmadge Park is to deliver exceptional long-term, short-term rehabilitative and hospice care. Our primary goal is to provide comprehensive health care and supportive services within a dignified and comfortable environment. Each room contains its own bathroom, includes a phone and is wired for cable television. Our facility offers three dining rooms; our main formal dining room has beautiful views of our new pergola garden where residents enjoy restaurant style dining in an elegant dining atmosphere. Residents are provided with well-balanced individualized home-style meals under the direct supervision of our Registered Dietitian. A newly landscaped pergola garden courtyard, outside patio area featuring a gazebo and our three welcoming lounges can be enjoyed by residents and family members. The centerpiece, and newest addition to our facility “The Pergola Garden,” is an enclosed courtyard filled with flowering trees, lush gardens and walking paths. Our residents and visitors can enjoy time outdoors in the fresh air, with open sky above, while seated on a park bench or at a bistro table beneath our grand pergola. Cleary, Jr. The 94-bed healthcare facility is located at 1132 Meriden Road in Waterbury, CT. Meridian Manor is conveniently located minutes from 1-84 and is directly on the local bus line. Meridian Manor accepts Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance.Meridian Manor has a brand new 2,400 square foot state-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation gym located conveniently on the east side of the building. There is a new handicap accessible parking area that leads to a separate entrance and provides convenient access for outpatient rehab and families. The entrance to the rehabilitation gym allows for outpatients to easily enter and exit the building for follow-up rehab. This is important for their continuing aftercare with a familiar therapist who treated them during their stay at Meridian Manor. This convenient access to therapy is especially important, enabling us to continue to support our patients for a positive experience as they transition home. The new facility has a completely functional occupational therapy (OT) suite which includes a mock apartment with activities of daily living such as a kitchen, bathroom, bed and laundry.
