I had a great tour of this community. The staff was kind and friendly to my family, and my self. The community was very well-kept (no bad odors) and the residents looked very engaged. Very nice and perfectly suited to my mothers memory decline. The private room was great (though it costs more) and the companion room was also very nice.

We toured Franklin Manor. I liked that it was secure. I liked that the residents were free to move around the facility. There was plenty of staff. The only thing I didn't like was maybe the size of the rooms for the share of rooms. It was very clean. It was great. They had a place where they watched movies. They had a hair salon. They did have a common area outside, and I did like that they have family days where the family can come by. They'll have a cookout or something and the family can come, so that was also nice.

Ask if they have a single nurse, LPN, or RN on staff. The answer is NO, and it shows. They only have CNAs and Med Techs to care for advanced dementia patients and people with extensive medical/care needs. The patient care director isn’t even a nurse, LPN or RN. No MD is almost ever on site, once a week a PA walks through and visits the residents for a few minutes a piece. (Ask them!) My best friend's father was there, and in six months, they made this sweet man leave with no real plan because he had developed a massive stage 3 wound on his bottom that they couldn't take care of per state regulations. The funny thing is, her dad had no wounds when he arrived, and yes, he uses a wheelchair, but that is the case with many of their residents. They simply didn't move him enough and allowed him to sit in urine and feces for long periods during the day. Falls are out of control here; we are better off at home, but please beware and ask the right questions before going with the cost-saving alternative to anything resembling humane care.

We recently placed my father at Franklin Manor for memory care and have been very happy with the attention he receives. His room is very nice and having cable, telephone, Wi-Fi and laundry included is a big plus. His favorite area in the outside courtyard located securely in the facility. It’s bright and cheerful and a great place for us to visit with him. A+ all the way.

We visited several places when dad’s needs became too much for mom and a guy/time CNA. Franklin Manor has been a blessing to our family. Mom loves to visit, the staff is well trained and kind, and the building is always clean. Highly recommend.

My wife and I traveled from Maine to help my mother find placement for my father two years ago when he could no longer be cared for at home. We wanted a nice, safe, and well-run facility mom could visit easily. Franklin Manor turned out to be that facility. It’s clean, his room is spacious, and the staff take a genuine interest in dad and his care needs. On several occasions mom has told me that the staff has setup special tables for them to sit at together and assisted dad into the courtyard so they can be outside to enjoy the day together. I couldn’t be happier with our decision to go to Franklin Manor and would recommend it to everyone!

My mother moved to Franklin Manor and seems to be getting better. It looked to me like they were understaffed, but the maintenance of the place is good. Their food is also good. They had some Mardi Gras parties and some activities going on. They have a beauty shop as well. I suggest they can improve on getting some more help. I would still recommend this place.

I like that Franklin Manor is so close to my home and that it's clean. It's more of a rustic place and my husband's room is big. I feel like he's not cramped. He's got plenty of room and enough storage for what he has. He's got a bed and you can bring your own furniture if you want. There is a chair and a little nightstand beside the bed. The food has been good. He gets three meals a day and he has been eating well. There is a piano there and then they have volunteers that come in and do activities with the residents. One volunteer was asking questions and then somebody would answer. They were also pitching a balloon/ball around each other once.

The people in Franklin Manor were knowledgeable and very helpful. It was clean and I was able to see different elements of the facility. They were able to allow that in different ways during COVID. They have updated furniture, and it's a newer facility.

We went with Franklin Manor, it's very close to my home. It's just a very intimate, small community, and they specialize in dementia and memory care, so that's for my mom, and we went with that. It seemed that the staff was really great, the director really helped us out a lot, and we felt comfortable with her there. The staff is very friendly, very helpful, they answered the phone, and they're willing to help the family of the residents there. Everybody is very kind and helpful in trying to empathize with the family members that have a resident there. Outside, the grounds are very nice.

Franklin Manor only accepted people who had dementia and most of the people there were quite sick and of different ages. It was clean, neat, bright, and looked very nice. They supply the furniture for the room, it was hospital like, and some have two people instead of just one, and I don't like that. The staff was very pleasant. It's a very nice facility for their clientele.

Franklin Manor is clean and nice. The Executive Manager is a nice guy who helped me take care of a bunch of issues. The rooms are good, not glamorous but not trashy either.

I like Franklin Manor because the people running it seem to genuinely care about the residents. It’s strictly a memory care facility. They’re attentive, and they get to know the residents. I’ve been happy with how they take care of my father. I think they need more CNAs, but these types of facilities could generally use more CNAs. Because of changes in the upper management, they’re undergoing some staff turnover right now, replacing some people who they feel are not up to their standards. Compared to what’s out there, I think this is one of the better places.

When I walked in to Franklin Manor, it didn't have the odor, but the people were sitting around, and they were like zombies. There was no expression on their faces. It smelled like a hospital. I wouldn't put my mom there. I just didn't get a good feeling in that place. The staff that we spoke with was very nice. She showed us the rooms where the patients live, but I don't know of any activities that they were doing. I saw the people just sitting in a chair like they were doped up. The room was nice, just basic. It was a new development. It looked nice on the outside and clean on the inside, but it didn't have the warm feeling.
