My mom is in rehab at Salemtowne. It is a wonderful place if you can afford it. She really loves it there, but it is very pricey. They have everything in that complex. It is gated because they also have assisted living and memory care residents there. The staff is excellent, and the meals are wonderful.

I toured Salemtowne. They were very welcoming. The staff was excellent. The person explaining the situation there was outstanding. They offered pretty much the same kinds of amenities that the other place offered. It's just not as new a facility.

My mother is in Salemtowne for rehab. We chose this place because there were very few to choose from with skilled nursing care. The others that did offer skilled nursing had no availability. The place was very nice. I am impressed. The staff is very qualified. Like most places, they're undermanned for the number of patients that they have. They get her up periodically, and they rotate her because she's a non-weight-bearing patient. I haven't tried the food, but they bring her plenty. The only negative would be that they're understaffed, but that's due to a lot of things like shortage for that level of care. The staff there is good.

We brought Mom to the Rehab Center at Salemtowne and at first glance, the rooms were beautiful and staff were helpful. Within one day, we were complaining daily of lack of showers, lack of cleanliness if my Mom, long wait time for assistance, and our Christmas Holiday 2021 turned into our family nightmare! No MD visit for 4 days from admission. No daily PT as promised. Housekeeping found Mom unresponsive upside down face planted in bed. Ambulance to hospital ended her stay. If you care about your loved one, avoid this place at all costs.

We like Salemtowne. It's very pretty, has a very nice apartment, and has very nice people. Everything is great about it, the location, the food, the people, and the support you get. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. We have a kitchen, but there's a dining room, and we can go there. There are many activities, although we haven't done any of them yet. The place is very clean and kept up maintenance-wise.

My husband is at Salemtowne. I talk with him twice a day. It was the only one that I could find that would take Medicare and TriCare initially. He said everything was nice. There was one young lady that he gave a lot of kudos to; that she was very nice. Right after that, he went on a ventilator in the hospital, and then he came back out of the hospital and went back to Salemtowne. And a week later, he was back on a ventilator. We don't know what happened or why that happened. There is a case manager that contacts me periodically to update me on his status, and how long they think that he will be there. The only thing that I don't like is that when they feel they have done all that they can for him, I have to move him or it's gonna cost me $300 a day, which will come up to over $11,000 a month, which I can't afford. I haven't heard of him giving me any negative about the facility. It seems to be okay, but I've never been inside. He is in a room by himself. It's a very, very large place. It's a retirement community, and they have the rehab part of it. From the outside, it's beautifully landscaped. The building seems more modern than most of the nursing facilities. They have a guard at the gate who will check your temperature, and we were allowed to drive under their alcove, and someone will come out and pick up whatever it is we need to give them, but we had to have our temperature taken. We're still not able to go into the facility, and that's great because they have residents with underlying problems, and I certainly don't want my husband to catch anything else. He's having physical and occupational therapy there.

Salemtowne is a new community and the staff is as good as I can find. It's not perfect, but as far as the quality of care goes and the brand-new facilities, it's a very nice place. That's why we have decided to have my brother stay there and he's now in long-term care. He's in a private room and they take care of his feeding tubes and wound care after surgery. It's a huge place that has great rooms, lounges with TVs and small cafes. It's a beautiful community. He didn't care for the food because he loves fine food, and you're not going to get that in a nursing home or skilled nursing facility. The layout of the place is state-of-the-art.

Salemtowne was wonderful, it was absolutely beautiful, and I have nothing bad to say. They allow you to put some upfront money to kind of save your place, and my mother really liked that. That money will go toward your property when you do move. They have all kinds of care; they have independent, skilled, and so on. The grounds weren't as pretty as the other place we saw, but the actual inside of the building was great.

My father was sent there for rehab, but we were told he has 14 days and must discharge if he is ready or not so they would meet some quota they have with Forsyth hospital. Well he did not get baths regularly or therapy like they promised and then said he had to discharge home. I told them he was not safe but they said that was my problem. The state will hear about this....

My tour at Salemtowne was good and very pleasant. The people who took me around were good. The rooms were a little bit larger and had kitchens. They were also modern. They had bridge, quilting, movies, gym, and a pool.

The skilled nursing area has recently had problems with staffing and patient care has suffered. My family member has lost weight from inadequate feeding and bedsores from lack of personal care and repositioning. The odor is often unbearable. At this time I would caution anyone considering this facility to explore other options.

I have been to the facility multiple times to view and request information to see about healthcare. I have been 6 different times and every time I walk up to the desk at healthcare..... nobody is there. I've asked and the receptionist is either sick or just out for the day. First impressions is everything

Salemtowne was nice. It was expensive so not many people can live there. The rooms were good. They were nice. They have swimming, they have an exercise room, and they have lots of nature trails.

I visited Salemtowne, and the staff was very delightful, very friendly, caring, and involved with their residents. It was more updated, brighter, and more cheerful than the other place we've seen.

I know a lot about Salemtowne because I have several friends who live there. It’s expensive; if I could afford to live there, it would probably be where I’d want to be. It has beautifully kept campus-like grounds. It’s probably been a year since I’ve eaten there, but the food was very good. The rooms that I’ve seen were very pleasant and well appointed. They have good recreational activities. They have a large, very nice pool. They have exercise classes. Their exercise room looks like it has all basic equipment. I know they have all kinds of classes from water therapy classes to sit-down yoga.

Salemtowne was a beautiful place. If I could really afford it, that is where I think I would rather be. Everything was extremely great. It looked like a little town.

I have many clients at Salemtowne. They have multilevel uses. They have independent living cottages/apartments, then assisted living, and a health care facility onsite. It is a giant complex, very, very well run. You can move within wherever you need to be within the different levels. You can buy into it. It is first class. It is very expensive, but it is one of the premier places in town. They have many amenities. They're actually expanding right now. I know personally a lot of the administrators, and they're on top. They're great. What impresses me about Salemtowne is the variety of the campus and the ability to go to the health care area and not be in a hospital. They're on the property for health care. Also when you move into an apartment, they would re-do everything, i.e., carpets, countertops, etc. They're designing it to look brand new.
Pleased much
