Do not use this facility if you care at all for your loved one. Nothing was good for our loved one and would never tell anyone to use this facility. Therapy was so inadequate. Had to ask for assistance to get help for our loved one for everything. A few nurses were okay but never saw or talked with doctor. The doctor only came at night. Room are very small and not clean.

I have been very satisfied with the care that my mom received at Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation. They have a great group of people. I was glad they were able to find a long term spot for her, because she already liked it there. When she was in rehab, she was sharing a room with someone, which was a little crowded. Now that she's moved to skilled nursing, she has her own room and it's quite sizable and it's kept very clean. The food looks good, too. They have a living room/library with games and puzzles in it, a lot of outdoor seating areas (which my mother has been fond of), and lots of opportunities for residents to gather and either play games or have book talks and things like that. So, there's stuff to do, which is nice.

I went there because their physical therapy dept. was the best out of all the other rehab. centers. I was given PT twice a day & I highly recommend it. Also I enjoyed attending the group activities when I wasn't in therapy especially bingo, bowling & others. I enjoyed socializing with the other residents that were in the group activities. All the staff was friendly & very helpful. I enjoyed having the therapy students assist me with adl's such as showers & shampoos. The therapy team were very knowledgeable & helped me reach my goals & gain my independence back in order to return home.

Most off the 1st shift staff is great, but apparently 2nd and 3rd just don't care. They don't answer call buttons. My father is literally sitting in feces for hours. :(

Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation Weaverville is great. I have visited it before but now they're restricting visitors because of the virus. As far as a nursing home goes, they're very good with their people. They've got a good group. I think the staff is good also. For people that live out on this side of the area, it's fantastic and sometimes I think it's like a party because people know each other. The facade is great. Their food is fantastic. They decorate and they've got really clean floors, and it's a really clean place.

At first this was an ok place because you could visit at any time make comments to the staff about issues you saw and take care of some things on your own for your loved one. (or take them out of there for days at a time. When they locked down the facility ane you were unable to see your loved ones it became evident from the window visits that there was an overall lack of attention to the patients; upon observation of them, often times the staff was found sitting at the desk on their phones for up to 30 minutes, not just on one visit, but every visit we made to the window. Even though this was brought to the attention of management on multiple occasions, by multiple families, absolutely nothing changed; the management was offended that we had called them about the issues but assured us it would be taken care of. Next week, same things were happening again, no change. As the past year has unfolded my loved one suffered from such a lack of attention that she was injured on several occasions, again, complete denial of their management that any of the issues where the fault of the facility. When you pay a facility 6,000 a month to care for your loved ones you expect them to watch them closely when they are ill, and contact you with information about it, get a bath without having to remind them, make sure they stay hydrated during the day and feed them if they need help. My loved one developed so many issues and lost so much weight for lack of care and input from the staff. There are a couple of very caring and wonderful Nurses there but it seems they are not valued and their input is ignored. I wish them well, they are the gems in a sea of a for profit home that allows just enough help to get by and not enough to truly provide the care that is necessary. It is shameful that the most vulnerable amongst us are treated with such a high level of disrespect, and disregard by those who direct and manage places like this. Look elsewhere if you care about your loved one. If you cannot get in, they get to do things the way they want, not what is best for your loved ones.

My precious Daddy, Earl Davis, was a resident of the Brian Center off and on for the past couple of years. Obviously, he wanted and preferred being at home, but his failing health kept him from that. The only other place he wanted to be, was at the Brian Center. He loved every single staff member from the most caring and loving nursing staff, calming and compassionate Dr. Dedman, fun-loving therapist and activity directors, and sweet dietary and housekeeping staff! Even the administration was very caring and involved in my Dad's care. The facility was always clean and smelled nice and the residents all seem very involved and cared for. My Daddy was very happy there until the day he passed away. I feel like the staff are like family and some have even continued to stay in touch with me. I could never repay them for their kindness to my Dad and am so thankful he chose the Brian Center!

I am very impressed with my excellent experience I received during my stay at the Brian Center in Weaverville, NC. Every area of care was outstanding, from the nurses, cna's to the cafeteria staff and transportation. All of the staff made my son and I feel welcomed and comfortable. The expertise and team work of the therapy department is incredible. Each therapist added their knowledge in planning my care so I could succeed in the goals that I needed for my recovery. I highly recommend the Brain Center and I am grateful I had the opportunity to heal at this amazing facility

I was very sick when I came here, couldnt take care of myself, and I am walking out today! The nurses here have taken care of me like a family member. The girls and Bryan and Bill in PT spurred me on. They made me want to get stronger. The only reason i rated 4 stars instead of 5 is that some of the food like mexican dishes were not things im used to eating at home. Most of the food is pretty good though.
