I am the brother of a former patient. He was originally placed in a different SNF after a short stay in the hospital with an infection in his foot. Prodigy rehab Director came and saw him at his previous facility, they immediately connected and he was transferred the next day to start his rehabilitation and nursing care. He was unable to ambulate or even transfer, but by the time he went home he was doing all that and more. Because I live so far away I was unable to be there, but I felt comfortable with the care he was getting. The facility was very clean, everyday they came in his room to clean the bathroom and wipe down switches and handles. Nursing did a wonderful job, with his daily needs. The rehab staff even brought him outside food some days. He and I would recommend this facility 100%.

I was recently sent to Prodigy because I had broken my leg and needed rehab. I was very much stressed and my anxiety level was out of the roof when I arrived there. I really did not know what to expect. I was first rolled in to this really nice room. It was very spacious, clean, and bright with a modern bathroom and shower. The lighting on the walls in the halls was like candle lighting which made the facility look and feel very much like home. There wasn’t any noise in the halls at bedtime to interfere neither with my sleep nor with my visitors coming to visit me. My stay at Prodigy was about four days and then I was to follow up with my medical doctor to discuss possibly having surgery. Sure enough when I went to my appointment the swelling had decreased and I was admitted for surgery. My surgery was scheduled the very next day needless to say the surgery was quite painful! After my surgery, I received a nice surprise. A familiar face came walking through my door. It was the Admission’s Director, Dylan, from Prodigy to check on me and see how I was doing. How nice was that! I returned back to Prodigy a few days later. My anxiety was not as bad this time as was the first admission. My pain was always managed by the nursing staff. They took awesome care of me especially Carol (my nurse). She would assist me to the bathroom if the CNAs were passing meal trays. Carol answered my call lights as well as assisted her CNAs with care. The CNAs that do their job and have their hearts in what they do. I would like to recognize James, a CNA that worked nights and week-ends. He was so humble and nice. He would always fill my cup with ice and leave me an oatmeal cake on my table. There were many good CNAs, but he was really just outstanding. The therapy team has been very helpful in meeting my goals to return home. They have encouraged and assisted me even when I really didn’t want to participate…. O what patience they had!!!! So a big thanks to Rebecca, Carol, Angela, and Brandy! I was then really spoiled with Carrie, a massage therapist! Living the life! The Activity director, Barbara worked really hard to keep me busy with books to read, and word search puzzles. She even gave me a tote to keep my items in during my stay. There was a housekeeper, Taylor that visited my room every morning to see if I needed anything. She kept my room so nice and clean. She was always a delight to see, always wore a smile on her face and you could tell she had a kind heart. There were so many more that I would like to thank by names, but I do not know all of their names. I hope that I did not hurt any person’s feeling because you all did a fine job. Today I was visited by Dylan, Admission’s Director, Gloria, Director of Nursing, and Rob the Administrator. They presented me with a beautiful bathrobe with the Prodigy Logo on the robe. I wanted to say this because it is so easy to complain about things and people hardly ever get any praises. Please know that I wanted this facility to know how much I appreciated all of them for what they do each and every day! Thank You Prodigy and Staff!

This is one of the disgusting place I have been in. My husband has been here for one week and 3 days and just about everyday I have to fuss about they are not doing their job. He be nasty stinky floor is nasty and stinky. He is not able to get around like some others, but they does not watch him. I have came just about everyday because I don't feel comfortable in not coming because I am afraid of how he will be. The staff is nasty towards you because you confront them about their work. Not a pleasure group to work with people some of them. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

The staff went above and beyond to make sure my grandmother was comfortable and well taken care of. I would recommend this facility above any other facility. I have never had a negative experience and the staff is always very pleasant to deal with. The residents do lots of activities and the staff takes requests if there is a particular activity residents want to do.

Well, I feel if ur not from North Carolina and trying to talk to family that lives there. Then forget, you well be put on the back burner and given so many excuses why u can't talk to ur loved ones. Then hung up on while still on the phone. This is some bull and just not right. But if I call the state what u think is going to happen. I well treated like royality. So soon I well be making my call.

Tarboro Nursing Center is seated within the town of Tarboro in a good location just minutes away from most Tarboro neighborhoods. The ladies who work here are very nice and go out of their way to get your loved one what they need. Our grandmother was a resident here at this facility and she enjoyed herself at the many events held there. Such as Karaoke, Dances, and dinners. I recommend this nursing center to anyone in the area.

I have been a client of the Tarboro Nursing Center now for a little over 6 years. My mother specifically is bed-ridden at this facility. The staff at the Tarboro Nursing Center are wonderful and will usually go out of their way to grant any and all requests concerning your loved one. They also do a wonderful job safely moving and transporting your loved one as well. There are a few entertainment events available at this facility such as monthly dances for the senior crowd as well as Karaoke, this pleases me to know that my mother has something to do to keep her mentally stimulated and entertained as we all know sitting around can get quite old. The facility itself is quite beautiful. The food is of good quality and there is an outside garden / patio area where your loved one can go out and eat or smoke. There are also rocking chairs out front for a breath of fresh air. Overall, I believe that if you're located in Tarboro that your loved one will receive the care he or she needs at this facility.
