I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My dad has been in Maple Leaf Health Care since February. It was close, it's like 5 minutes from my home. They were available when I needed somewhere for him to go, and it's okay. They're pretty good. I've developed a real good rapport with everybody here, and they seem to be okay. They have some really good staff, and they have some that are no good. As a whole, the food is pretty good. They have games, and bingo, they have like church services for them. I like the ice cream day. They have a calendar they post every month with different activities. They get a newspaper delivery. They have treats, ice cream, and snacks. They have music in the dining area. They have a picnic/ patio area, and they have a space where they have rocking chairs on the porch to sit up here. They have a fenced area. They have a family room where they have a TV, and they have a bird in there.

I visited this facility

This is a great place, it is clean, the staff are kind and caring and helpful to the patients and families. They have different things to do each day, bingo, church, music etc. I don't have enough words to say about therapy, they have helped my grandmother so much. I did not think she would ever get to the point of walking again. I don't have to worry about my grandmother being taken care of, I know she is and she is happy as well with her progress. Thank you Maple Leaf.

Funny how reviews are old.Promise everything is so good. They lost laundry.cna's are asked for diaper changes and have to sit in a soiled diaper for 4 hrs on a regular basis and patient doesn't complain because of fear of being done worse.short staffed it's just sad to rely on these people to care of loved ones.

I am/was a resident of this facility

This review is not so-much about how nice the rooms are (They are really nice) or how nice the amenities are. The staff is what I want to talk about. My stay was about 10 days the staff on my hall was like a big family and they made me feel at home as soon as I met them. The girls that worked on my hall always answered the call light promptly. I had just been discharged from another Rehab facility near Charlotte a week earlier and didn't have a good experience and was hesitant to go to another facility. I was pleasantly surprised immediately. The PT staff was very good at there job. They made me stronger and it gave me more self esteem from there encouragement during and after PT sessions. If I ever need to go to a rehab facility I am going to request Maple Leaf rehab.

"There is NO place like home!!" That was our Mothers constant plea. However our family felt Mother desperately needed therapy prior to returning home from her hospital admission which had left her extremely weak and depressed. She was admitted to the Rehab Hall at Maple Leaf, and at the time of discharge. The team helped our beloved Mother find her thrive to live again, her motivation and mobility followed, and her independence to go HOME once again and continue to care for herself was the outcome. The facility was consistent with her plan of therapy and the progress left our family speechless! At discharge our Mother did NOT want to leave. We can not put into words the heartfelt appreciation for this facility and the staff who went above and beyond to help our loved one feel safe and confident again!!

This facility staff really cares about your relative and does everything they can to make your stay pleasant. I would highly recommend Maple Leaf and they have the best star rating in the county.

My parent really likes it here at Maple Leaf. The sanitation is fine. I like their caring the most about them, but they need to have more CNAs working there. As for the food, she says she likes it. She is just happy here. This is the fourth time, and she always wants to go back here. When she fell and broke her hip, this is the place she wanted to be.

I didn't like how the halls always smelled bad when walking through. Or that they were always really short staffed when I visited my family member (twice a week). Anytime someone asks me about sending a relative there, I always tell them I wouldn't recommend it.

Maple Leaf Health Care is fine. We have had our moments, good and bad, but it has been OK. My mom is pleased with the food. She is in a private room, and that is probably the best part about it. Overall, my mom seems to be pleased with her stay there, and that is all that matters to me.

I visited this facility

We've visited the Maple Leaf Health Care. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. They sort of dropped everything just to give us a long tour. The one problem I saw was that they only had 2 private rooms, so my mom would be on the waiting list for that. They also didn't have TVs or telephones in the rooms.
