This place has truly made a turnaround. I was here after my hip replacement. Staff were friendly. When I hit my light someone came in very quickly. I was not feeling well after I got there turns out I had newmonia and the nurses caught it. The nurse running the place even checked on me.

Understaffed, resident waited over an hour to be taken to restroom. Hard to find a staff member when something is needed or call button is used. No communication between staff, can be told different things from different people. Concern over record keeping for meds and food/water intake. What staff that was there seemed to be overworked (weekends were worse that weekdays)

WOW...I CALLED THE FACILITY TO GET INFORMATION. THE FIRST TIME I CALLED THE PHONE RANG MORE THAN 10 TIMES WITH NO ANSWER OR VOICEMAIL PICK UP AND I FINALLY HUNG UP. I CALLED BACK AND AFTER SEVERAL RINGS SOMEONE FINALLY ANSWERED. I ASKED FOR THE INFORMATION NEEDED AND REPEATED JUST TO MAKE SURE I HAD THE CORRECT INFO AND THE YOUNG LADY WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE SAID 'YEP' AND HUNG UP! WHAT HAPPENED TO COMMON COURTESY AND PROFESSIONALISM?! SPEAKING FROM A BUSINESS STANDPOINT, THERE NEEDS TO BE SOME TYPE OF TRAINING IN PHONE ETIQUETTE! I WORK IN AN OFFICE AND WOULD NOT HANDLE A CONVERSATION IN THAT MANNER MAINLY BECAUSE I TAKE PRIDE IN WHAT I DO AND I WANT TO BE AS HELPFUL AS POSSIBLE WHEN PEOPLE CALL ME FOR INFORMATION. I USUALLY END MY CONVERSATION WITH 'HAVE A NICE DAY' BUT SHE SURE DIDN'T GIVE ME A CHANCE TO TELL HER THAT!

Autumn Care is surviving on the reputation its former owners built. It has been sold and nothing is the same. The care here is dismal. There were multiple days that my loved one was NOT FED one of her meals (breakfast one day and supper another). They told me my loved one got choked on her food. She not once go choked with me. I watched them shove heaping spoonfuls into other patients mouths. That is why people are getting choked. They do not answer the calls in a timely fashion. We went to see her one Sunday around 10AM. She had not been moved from the bed to her wheelchair so we could take her outside. When we pushed the button and asked the nurse to get her out of bed, we were told there were two nurses for three halls and they didn't have time. We had to leave without visiting since there was no where for all of us to be in her room. The physical therapy may be good but the rest is not. PLEASE, please, please try to keep your loved one at home or in a better facility.

This facility is not only below average on every aspect of care, I would not take my pet here. My family member rang her bell for over 20 minutes and no one came. Its a disaster waiting to happen. Since when does making a profit take precedence over caring for our elderly? Please don't put your loved one in this facility if you want them cared for. It won't happen.

This is a horrible place to send your loves ones. Hardly no staff. This place doesn't not treat people with respect. They simply don't care for their employes, their residents or their family members. Trust me please don't send your family there.

I have worked in a nursing / rehab for several years. I know what to expect the building is very nice and clean. The cna's all seem nice. Don't expect them to be in a hurry to check on your loved one that's not going to happen. They are very slow at answering call bells. I mean very slow. While I was there not one person came to check on my loved one which is sad. They are there to be took care of not left. Don't go by the way a place looks the care is more important.

The staff seems to be very conscientious but they are so busy and understaffed they have no time to engage with patients. The patients must conform to the schedule of the staff rather then the staff providing for the individual needs of the patients. For example, patients who would benefit from sleeping later in the mornings are waked up at 7am, given a sponge bath, and then dressed and left to sleep in their chairs until breakfast is delivered an hour later. The coffee is always cold because the breakfast trays sit in the hall for a long time. The one thing my mother looks forward to in the morning is a hot cup of coffee. Would it be too much to ask that they have one staff member deliver hot fresh coffee to the patients first thing when they get up? Also, there is a very long wait time for patients who ring for assistance to go to the bathroom. It is a nice building, but there needs to be more caring and attentive staff.

Autumn Care was our preference because my mom was going to have physical therapy and they had a really updated, state-of-the-art physical therapy facility that actually opened on the day we were there, so everything was brand new. We were also impressed with the staff who spent so much time with us.
