My brother moved to TerraBella Southport. They were at a good price point and offered everything that my brother needed, fantastic care, and the staff was amazing. We've been there many times and the food is fantastic. My brother enjoys the community that he's living in right now. The amenities are comfortable and clean, and there's a staff 24/7. They are very attentive. They have a lot of puzzle games and stuff. I don't know anything else but I know they have a community bus that takes them to places.

Everything at TerraBella Southport was very nice. It was clean and well-kept. The residents seemed happy and friendly, but the living space was way too small for two people.

We had a lovely tour at TerraBella Southport. It was very quaint. As a smaller facility, it felt very home-like. It was well appointed as they refurbished it in the past year or two. So, it was very clean. It was also cozy. The apartments had a large bathroom. It was spacious and they had lovely views of the greenery/garden outside. It was a studio style. They have lots of activities. There were a lot of art areas. The dining room was spacious, but I didn't try any meal. The staff was wonderful. Everybody was so friendly. It was very clean and very well cared for.

I visited this facility before we placed Mom in another assisted living facility. This facility has a lot to offer, very clean, price reasonable and the staff seem to care. They don’t nickel and dime you.

TerraBella Southport had a very welcoming entry. It was nicely furnished and we met with a young lady named Kim. She was a very thorough and nice person to represent TerraBella Southport. She talked about assisted living there and then she showed the facility to us, and it had a lot of very nice things. She showed us a room that our loved one would be staying in. It was a private room with a private bath, and it was very nice. She showed us the dining area, the outside terrace areas, the covered outside porches, and different things. She showed us the rec area where they could do different activities. She showed us the movie room and several different places in the facility, and they all presented well. We met several of the residents there and other staff members as we were touring the facility. Everything was very nice.

TerraBella Southport was very pleasant. However, they didn't take Medicaid, so I crossed that off my list. The staff who gave the tour was very informative and very nice. I didn't eat the food, but the dining area looked like a very nice setup. The place was very clean. They had nice rocking chairs in the front yard. They had open areas in the back that were very pretty and garden-like.

TerraBella Southport seemed to be a very inviting place. It's beautifully situated. Everybody seemed very friendly. All the staff that I encountered seemed to be friendly with each other as well. I was impressed by the cleanliness. They had both assisted living and memory care, so if it progressed, we could cover both situations. The only thing I found that I didn't like was the distance from my home (even if that was not a major deal). The lady that I toured with was very knowledgeable and seemed to be very caring. It's a smaller place, which is a plus. It seemed to be a very comprehensive place, but they didn't have all the amenities that a larger place might offer. They had a salon. There were outdoor walking areas and a beautiful garden. They had activities and things like that.

I toured TerraBella Southport, and it was very nice. It was very far from Monkey Junction, but it was very nice. It didn't fit my mom's needs, because my mom is in rehab right now, so she would need skilled nursing. The staff member who gave me the tour was very, very informative. We looked at a studio apartment, which was the only one available, and it was very nice. The place was very clean. We even met some cleaning ladies, everyone knew each other's names, and they were all very friendly. We went around lunchtime, so most of the residents were eating lunch. We did not see any activities, but we did meet one of the residents that does art classes, and we did see some of her artwork hung up. It was watercolors. It was beautiful. She enjoys teaching painting to the other residents. Everyone was conversing in the dining area. It seemed almost like a family dining area. We didn't get to taste any food, but it smelled good. They had gardens, and they had six different patios. They had walking trails through the woods. Also, it was located right off the ferry. So if you take the ferry from Wilmington, it's like right down the road from the ferry. So you could actually walk there from the ferry, which is another good thing to know.

The cleanliness is very poor. Especially on the windows and ac units. Meals are bare minimum. Patients leave the table hungry. No snacks provided like was told before moving in. Housekeeping is bare minimum. There is not enough staff for residents.

TerraBella Southport seemed like a very safe and secure community for the folks that live there. The staff was very friendly. Everybody was introduced, so it was very personable. It was a good experience. I like the personnel, facilities, and security. It still felt like a nursing home rather than an apartment area. They showed us the activity room, and they had games and various things for them to do at the table.

TerraBella Southport seemed like a nice facility. They had the doors locked, and they had activities for both assisted living and memory care sides. The staff said that they were going to take them outside and do some potting of flowers, and there's a gardening activity coming up. They have a walking area for people who might feel like they need to get away. They had a wide area and that may be where they're going to plant some of the flowers and they had a table where they had a couple of pots. I saw people watching TV. She showed us the dining area that had tables and chairs. We went through the back to go out to see the garden area and the walking area that she spoke of. There was one resident in a wheelchair sitting there looking towards the garden vicinity, but it was a small space that wouldn't hold a lot of people. We did not go into any of the rooms. She showed me just one of the bedrooms, and it was a double occupant bedroom and there's also not a lot of room. The rest of the facility looked pretty good. The assisted living part looked OK.

I toured TerraBella Southport. The staff was extremely professional and courteous, and we saw some actual rooms. The community area and the dining area. The community was very hospitable, warm, and clean. The rooms were adequately sized, clean, and seemed comfortable. They had a TV room, a game room, a beauty shop, a dining area, and they had an outdoor courtyard.

I visited and the gentleman was terrific and answered all questions. The experience was great. We saw two apartments that were available. If my mother needs to go into assisted, the studio would suit her needs. We liked the rooms. The staff was very informative, not only gave information, but waited for us to ask questions. It was 1:00, so it was in between meals. It was just described to me what they have, but I didn't get a chance to try the food. The dining area looked fine. I saw a game of UNO going on. I saw people sitting outside enjoying the sunshine. The outdoor spaces were very nice. I don't have anything negative to say.

My mother moved in. What I liked about it best of all is the look of the facility. It looks more like a home setting than an institutional brick building. It's very homey inside and out. I don't know anything about the food except what she tells me, but she's being a little difficult right now, so she's not happy with anything. We took her bed and everything there. She told my grandson that she didn't like the bed they gave her because she wanted her bed. She has good days and bad. Richard was wonderful. He's the only one that I know the name of. He helped us tremendously. He's sort of like the director, and whenever I have a problem, I call. Everybody has been very, very nice. I haven't met the ladies in person. I just talk to them on the phone. I don't know exactly what she's done. She has problems with her eyesight and she's a little hesitant. She likes to read, so we've taken her several books up there. I know that she's eating in the dining room with whoever sits at her table, and she's met some nice people that she's been able to interact with. She even went to a class. Even though she couldn't see to do it, she went down and sat with the lady. She said she likes the Bible study class that they have. She's been getting her hair done and we got that all worked out. That makes her happy. She can't see it, but she wants it fixed. I'm not familiar with everything because she was in quarantine the first two weeks and then it took her another two weeks to get over that. She's really just in the last week or so started interacting with people and coming out of her room. When she starts meeting people, we all joke about she'll be the mayor before it's over with. I like the setting and the look of it. This looks like a beach house almost, the way it's settled. It has the front porch and they occasionally have people play music outside, so they can sit out there and listen to them. A lot of people volunteer to do that. The school and other organizations just come and play the guitar and sing or whatever. From my experience so far, everything's been fine, except my mother.

My mother was here. She was only there for two weeks and while she was there, I felt that they were caring, and kind, and they certainly took care of her needs. I don't have a long-term relationship with them, but for the two weeks, they were good. I could only look at her room from a window because we were in the middle of a pandemic, so I could not go in. Looking at it from outside, looking in, it looked clean. Communication was very good. There were no activities. They weren't able to do anything, and They were confined to their rooms. They ended up having a case of COVID, and they had not had any, and so that was the unfortunate part because that was beyond their control. However, my mother never got to meet any of the residents, and she never got to go to the dining hall because of COVID. As far as activities, they used to have them and they probably have them again, but while she was there, they were nonexistent. The resident nurse there was very efficient, caring, and kind to my mother. She was trying to make sure her needs were met.

I visited and it was very good. I wouldn't mind my mom being there, but she wanted to stay where she was. I can honestly say I was pleased with what I saw and the questions that I asked. It looked very good. They showed me the rooms and I was very pleased with what I saw. I thought it was good. I didn't go inside the facility, but I visited from the window side. The rooms look good from the outside. I looked into the room through the windows and it was spacious. The staff that I met was good. I noticed the outdoor area looked nice.

My mom has moved in for a month now. It's been excellent so far. I've only talked to people on the phone, and they've all been helpful. They've been great, they're very responsive, and they return my calls. We saw the room on the virtual tour, and it was fine.

Everything about it was excellent. It was well-decorated, and it had lots of choices for activities. They had facilities in case a person wanted to have a family get-together and bring in several members of their family. There was one section for cooking so that the person could have a meal, party, or whatever they want with their family. I thought it was nice that the residents had the opportunity to do something like Thanksgiving dinner there in the facility. The space could accommodate 20 to 30 people. The rooms were very nice, fairly large, and well-decorated. Each room has an attached bathroom. One thing that was unusual was that each resident had been given a Life Alert button. The residents had these devices on them all the time, so they didn't have buzzers in the rooms. If a resident needed help, the staff could locate the person whether the resident was in his or her room or elsewhere.

It was very nice. The room that they showed me that my husband would have been going into was dark and dreary, but there was a gentleman there, and he was sleeping; the patient that had the other bed had been discharged. I knew it was something that my husband would not like. The staff was very friendly. The only complaint I had with the facility was the room that they showed me. Nevertheless, they had a beautiful dining room, they had a quiet room, and they had a walled in outside garden area that is for the Alzheimer's and dementia patients. It was very beautiful and very impressive. The facility was clean on the outside and also inside. It was a very nice place.

The facility was very nice, but I think the rooms were somewhat smaller although still very nice. The people that we dealt with were very helpful and nice. They were able to answer all our questions and were ready to accommodate us. There wasn't any negativity out of any of our interaction with them. It was a pleasant experience.
