Rooms were good and clean. Food was reasonably good— more choices would be better. Clean facility with exception of urine smell when you walk in some days but it was cleaned up. Laundry was not as good. They would lose things or put in someone else’s room and it would take of couple of days to be found. Therapy was great. Overall I would recommend to anyone.

My husband was in rehab for two months and I am grateful for all the care he received at The Laurels of Salisbury. The Nurses & CNAs treated him like they were his family. Therapists worked with him daily so he could get stronger. I cannot say enough good things about this facility, from the Administrator, to the Director of Nursing, Nursing staff and housekeeping. Thank you all for the wonderful job you do to help patients!

Family member was in for rehab after a stroke. PT and OT worked daily with patient and helped to improve her strength and motion of movement. Very happy with staff. Clients at the Laurels were very nice and entertaining.

The facilities were clean and there were multiple activities provided for the residents. My relatives were very satisfied with their service. The staff was very friendly and helpful went above and beyond to answer all questions and offer any assistance needed. I would want to stay there if I needed care.

My sister is at The Laurels of Salisbury doing rehab. They can take care of all our needs, and I feel really good about the care she's receiving. She's comfortable and they've been taking care of her for about a month now. They're very friendly, very approachable, very knowledgeable, and very caring. She's very pleased with the quality of the food. The facility is outstanding. She's in a double accommodation. There are two people there. It's not a whole lot of room, but it's nice and neat. It seems to be meeting our needs right now. They have a nice courtyard, and the rehab room is huge.

My dad came out worse than when he went in. And he was only there for 2 weeks. They didn't want to deal with him, so they doped him up on Ativan and depakote. There wasn't any communication and the staff would not respond to room call buttons. Run, don't leave your friend or relative here. They don't care.

The local hospital gave me a list of facilities in the area to tour for my mother. Rooms are slightly small but I was impressed with the therapy department, friendliness of the staff, and the cleanliness of the facility. There was zero odor. I would have placed my mom at this facility but they did not have a bed available at the time.

I have found myself needing several surgeries in the past three years. The Laurels is the only place I will go to receive my therapy. All staff is personable and each know me by name whether I am visiting or an actual patient. The therapy is excellent and they offer therapy 7 days a week. I am shocked to read the other reviews on this page as this is not my experience.

My sister was sent to this facility from the hospital. She was only there 2 weeks and they had to know she was neither eating or drinking anything but did nothing about it. When I went to see her I could hear her hollering for help but nobody came and the hall was full of employees. I told the dietician she needed help and she told the nursing station and I tried to help her. I am disabled myself and when I left I stopped at the nursing station and asked for help and the nurse went with me to her room. When they finally sent her back to the hospital it was too late she was completely dehydrated and undernourished and had to be put on life support. She died 2 weeks later. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

This facility had a good Medicare rating but I found it lacking. The food was attractive and okay- to- good to eat. The LPN's rarely lifted a finger to help the residents. They spent their time pushing the med cart and trying to look busy. If a family member called for help, instead of helping, they wasted time looking for a CNA. My relative was unable to ask for help but was put at the end of the hall farthest from the nurse station and she was sharing a room with another resident who also was unable to call for help. Some of the CNA's were very hard workers but they had way too many residents to care for. I came every day to try to see that my relative was getting care and I finally took her home. Fortunately, we are able to provide 24-hr care. It scares me to think that one day I might end up in a facility like this and I was unable to find an acceptable facility in the Salisbury area.

My mother is currently at the Laurels of Salisbury. It is a full-care nursing facility, and it was better than some others I went in. It is reasonably clean and I liked it because it was a little bit smaller than some of the others. The staff seems to be well trained and to know what they are supposed to do. Everybody seems able to manage the tasks they have. Most of the residents really do need quite a lot of care, and that is what they do. Her room is adequate, it's not very big. She actually shares a room because she does not like to be by herself. My mother eats almost everything they bring her, so she seems to like the food.

My mom is getting very good care from The Laurels. Everybody's nice to her. There are a lot of people working there and they're all very eager to please. The facility is clean and seems to be very well-run. It's laid out so it has a number of halls, with each room having a window to that side of the halls. Mom's room is very nice and functional. It also has a window for the afternoon light to come in. The food was pretty good. Mom likes it. I also like that it's convenient for my brothers to check on our mom too. It just seems like the right place. The main thing is that mom's happy.
