The staff is friendly and welcoming, and always ready to help. There are many activities for residents. Both interest type groups, and games are prolific. And they are willing to try something that a resident is interested in. There are excursions using Atria's bus. My apartment is spacious and well laid out. There is ample storage space. I have a screened in balcony that overlooks a beautiful courtyard. I've found the residents friendly. I've found my new home at Atria.

I will be moving into Atria Oakridge. It's friendly and clean. They provide meals and they clean your apartment. The bedrooms are a little small, but they have a den, and the apartment I was looking at had a screened-in porch you could go out on and sit and enjoy the fresh air. I liked that about it. They have activities. They have video bowling, poker night, and other social events. All the staff I have met are very friendly and I met some of the residents and developed a friendship with one person. He's friendly and we talked a lot. They're the best place I looked at and I looked at several places.

My mom lived at Atria Oakridge in 2022 and 2023. The staff and residents are all so kind and welcoming! Everyone from the executive director to the housekeeping staff got to know not only my mom but our whole family. We immediately felt at ease with her new living arrangement. She had the freedom of living independently but with the added security of additional support if it was ever needed. What a blessing Atria Oakridge has been to our family!

Atria Oakridge was very pleasant, very nice, open, and welcoming, and has plenty of yard space or outdoor space. They have good parking. It's very nice. They have a library and a beauty salon. They have transportation available; you just book ahead of time. They try to utilize as much space as they can, in the apartments and put as many in a building as they can. I understand that it's business and money. The staff was great. I don't mind the long hallways; it makes good exercise. It may not be intentional, but at least it's there. They've got elevators, a beauty shop, and all the accoutrements that you would want.

Atria Oakridge has a more traditional style of decor. It's an older place but it was a cozy feeling. The apartment was very nice, it's pretty roomy with good storage. There were a lot of areas to go walking around there and there was medical stuff right across the place, so we like that. It wasn't located right on a busy road, it was a little bit set back. The staff there was very nice and very accommodating. They had all the appliances in the rooms already, washer and dryer hookups, refrigerator, and microwave. It seemed like the appliances in Atria were larger than the ones in the other place I toured. The person who gave the tour was wonderful. She was very, very nice, low-pressure, and very helpful, I couldn't say enough nice things about her. We had a meal there, it was very good. They also have staff 24/7 there.

Atria Oakridge was very clean and well-kept. Even though their rooms were comparable in size to the others, they were laid out better and felt bigger. I think they just had a recent remodel so it was very nice. I loved the layouts. They had puzzle rooms, Wii bowling, and very nice dining. I thought the food was better and I liked that they had a wait staff, so somebody would come out to you and ask about your order. You can tell them, "I want this, but I don't want any onions in it." or "I want some extra this or extra that.", and to me, that was more personal. Like they cared and more invested in the person versus a cafeteria style. They also provide transportation to places and doctor's offices. They had gardening areas that looked very nice and different places where you could sit and read or have a cookout.

Great things happening at Atria Oakridge! The staff are doing a FANTASTIC job! Not only do they truly care about the the resident's health and safety, they care about each resident's happiness, and experience living at Atria, e.g. in the dining room, working with residents' requests and concerns, many opportunities to socially interact, getting out into the community, and working with the resident's family to enhance the resident's experience. Thank you Atria Oakridge!!! My father has lived at Atria Oakridge since the spring of 2019. Aside from COVID, my father has been very happy. Atria's health and safety protocols put my mind at ease. The apartments are very nice, sizeable, open rooms with big windows. The building and grounds are well maintained and beautiful. If I were to live in an apartment, it is somewhere I would live. As mentioned in the beginning, my father's and my interactions with the staff have been excellent. I appreciate how much "the resident" is put first.

The rooms are spacious, and the staff is accommodating. Both of my parents enjoy active lives as they like to play cards and there are plenty of card groups to join. The activities that Oakridge provides ensure a great social environment and participation. I love that there are always people out and about, not just sitting in their rooms. When I comparison shopped, Atria Oakridge had the best value for the dollar. My parents are happy with their decision to sell their home and move there. Yes, it was a difficult decision at the time but worth the stress of a major change. Wake Med Hospital is only a block away, which is a relief as my mother has had several falls in the past when they owned a house. With meals and housekeeping provided Mom & Dad can concentrate on enjoying the activities and transportation provided.

We went to Atria Oakridge. The staff was nice; they were fine. We saw a one-bedroom. They were smaller, the room dimensions were smaller, and there was a single sink in the bathroom as opposed to two. The kitchen was tiny and had very little storage. It was completely carpeted as opposed to the other one. It wasn't nearly as spacious; our king-sized bed that we currently have wouldn't fit. We saw it all and they had everything. But frankly, it was very old. For example, the bocce court was totally unmaintained. It wasn't even usable, in my opinion. The furniture in the common areas was old and dated, and we just weren't impressed with it. They had a salon and it was very expensive. It was just very mediocre.

My parent is a current resident at Atria Oakridge. Pre-Covid we saw declines in the food quality and they couldn't keep a Chef or staff. This still has not been resolved and the food quality has dropped significantly. The housekeeping has also dropped off significantly and is hit or miss. The area and facilities are very nice but the value is suffering greatly. The average rate of a 2 bedroom is $4200 which is all inclusive. When you take an average rental rate of $2000 with utilities that leaves $2200 a month left for food and services that have been almost non-existent for quite some time. If this doesn't improve quickly it is best to avoid this facility and we will be moving.

My mother moved to Atria Oakridge. The apartment size was nicer than the other ones, it was a big thing. There it's a little cleaner and the staff seems a little nicer. The food is actually pretty good, we haven't had any issues with the staff at all, they seem really nice, and polite so far. There's not that many activities right now because of COVID. The layout is good. I would recommend it I think for the price and for the facility. It's a lot nicer and cleaner than the other ones that I looked at when I was shopping for it. It's definitely one that somebody has to check out.

We chose Atria Oakridge for my in-laws and our experience so far is fine. The living atmosphere there is very good. It's independent living and we have another company coming in to give some assistance. They have a 2-bedroom apartment, it's clean and nice. The have good choices of food and the dining area has a very pretty atmosphere, and some of the waitresses are really nice. The residents have parties, cook-outs, music, church and social hour. They have everything you can imagine.

Atria Oakridge is comforting because it is in my neighborhood. I like the presentation the young lady gave me there. I like their rooms, and I like the sunroom. I just felt very comfortable living there. I like the two-meal-a-day program. Also a lot of things that they do are great. I met some people there that really seemed to enjoy it very much. Their activities are very informal. They are nice activities and inexpensive. I like the atmosphere. It isn't stuffy. It is about 10 years old, so it isn't brand new but it isn't very old either. The most important thing is that it is right in my neighborhood. It is also well-maintained and clean.

I moved into Atria. The food is wonderful, and I eat breakfast and dinner with them. The only problem is the microwave. I have a 2-bedroom, 2-bath, and I use the second bedroom as an office. I have a patio too. The staff is wonderful, I'm heading down to say the rosary at 2:00, and they have a movie showing tonight. I'm busy with doctors' visits, and they have buses for that. They have a library and an exercise room. It's a little bit expensive.

My mom has lived at this facility for over 5 years. Prior to choosing this location, we visited and evaluated a total of 7 independent living facilities. Mom has a spacious one-bedroom apartment with 9-foot ceilings and a stacked washer and dryer in her bath. She tells her friends that she feels like she lives in a mansion because 1) the facility is large and beautiful, 2) the staff takes care of all her needs from cleaning her apartment, to maintenance in her apartment, to driving her to doctor appointments, 3) the food is outstanding, 4) there are physical therapy and occupational therapy services on site, 5) there's a hair salon on site, 6) there are numerous activities and social events planned every week. Mom moved from another city to Raleigh, and has made many friends at Atria. While there have been some hiccups along the way due primarily to changes in management, the facility is currently outstanding with a fabulous director and fantastic food.

Atria Oakridge didn't fit what I was looking for because they are an independent living community, and I wanted assisted living for my mom. The rooms seemed pretty spacious and nice. It was pretty expensive being an independent living facility, but I know the Raleigh area is a pretty expensive place.

My Father and Mother live at Atria. We helped them move to Atria to be closer to us. We love it! One of the best things about Atria is the staff. They are so friendly and very helpful. My mom enjoys living there because they provide housekeeping and maintenance plus she never has to cook (unless she wants to). My parents have a very nice two bedroom apartment that includes a full kitchen. It feels like home but with lots of extras. Mom and Dad both use the on-site physical therapy services and the hairdresser. It's so convenient. Atria hosts many special events where the family is invited to attend like Mother's Day Tea, French night in the dining room and Memorial Day cookout. The food and service is great. It's nice to be able to join them for dinner with our large extended family in the dining room. Our family always feels welcome there. There are many in-house activities available for residents to attend, I particularly love the live music events like the harpist and pianist. My parents have made many friends at Atria, too. It is nice that Atria is so close to shopping and restaurants and even a hospital. My parents have lived there for a year and it has been a great experience for all of us.

I’ve been to Atria (Atria Oakridge). My overall experience with them was not all positive. My problem with them was the ratio of independent living to assisted living is very high in favor of independent living, which I wasn’t wild about since my mother is going to require assisted living. They don’t have suites or studios, just rooms.

My mom was at Atria Oakridge for three years. The first year was OK, but they changed ownership, then it went downhill. The food and maintenance were bad. The staff were not very helpful. We moved our mom out because the food was really terrible for the price that we paid them.

Atria Oakridge was nice, and the lady was super nice. They had a ton of activities, which we thought was great, but nobody was out in the lobby. This was the only place we saw where there was no one in the lobby. Maybe they were all busy or maybe we just hit them at a wrong time. It was nice, clean, nice apartment -- pretty typical. It was pretty. The staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable and weren't pushy, either. I think they followed up with me; I don't think any of the others have.

Atria Oakridge is very nice and pretty. The staff is very nice; I think they do a very good job; they are informative and helpful. The apartments were nice and of good size; she is in a 800 sq. ft apartment with a full kitchenette. It’s definitely enough space for her. The food is delicious and good. The dining room is very pleasant, it’s like a restaurant atmosphere, and the service is good. She wants to play dominos, bingo, and pool, and they go on outings to movies and shopping. They seemed to be doing something every day. How friendly and how informative the atmosphere and people were really impressed me. They are very knowledgeable and accommodating. The place is very safe.

I was very impressed with the facility, the staff, the residents, and all overall impressions. I visited multiple times without an appointment and was pleasantly received each time. My questions were always answered and someone always found the time to talk to me. This was my top 2 pick for my mother.

My mom is in Atria Oakridge. It is very convenient to my sister and me. This is about two to five minutes away. The rooms are spacious. It is a fairly new building so it is ADH standards. The security is good. They do a good job in watching the doors, and people sign in and out. This is definitely a step up in a number of ways for her. In a way, it is a bit more focused on independent living, and my mom is at a point where she is in a wheel chair all of the time now. It turns out that they have a lot of programs, but a lot of them assume you can go out and walk into the bus with them going out to diners, movies, and things like that. There is no provision made for wheel chair access, and a lot of the people there still drive their own cars. Its focus is independent living, but they do have a homecare add-on to it. The rooms are designed in such a way that is easier for them to have people going around in wheelchairs. It has a courtyard with some bushes in it. They have choices of food. They have half a dozen standard items on one sheet and on the other is half a dozen special, and it was like a real menu; you would literally order at a restaurant. Similarly, at breakfast you had your choices like eggs, pancakes waffles, hot cereals, or cold cereals; it has a whole menu of foods.

Atria is close to shopping. It has well manicured grounds. They do a nice job with their yards, their lawn and the flowers. The place is fairly new and well kept. It is very clean and has a very friendly atmosphere. The rooms are lots of different options as far as size and Mom has a very nice-sized apartment. She's got like picture windows both in her bedroom and her living room and it makes it really nice. You always have a nice view of outdoors. When you have a picture window, even if you're elevated in a higher level, you usually get to see just a lot more of the outdoors which I think is kind of nice for someone who spends a lot of time indoors. I'd eaten there and the food that they serve is quite good and is like a menu option that they have for dining. The staff is exceptional and they have lots of different activities. She's gone on field trips, she does drive and her doctor is just down the street so she takes herself along with my sister. If that place was up here close to home, it would be perfect just so that I could be close by.
