Mount Olive Care and Rehabilitation Center was the only place that the hospital would get to take my sister. I went to visit her with my friend, and when I went in there she was laying on the bed and had dried stool all the way down the leg of the wheelchair and foot pedal. I took her myself with my friend down the hall and washed her and her wheelchair. We gave her a shower. She was having problems also going to the bathroom and she saw a doctor over there in that area somewhere in Goldsboro or Mount Olive, a gastroenterologist, and when she saw that doctor, he ordered her to have a colonoscopy, and they had the date set up. He gave the orders to them and everything and they didn't do anything. They just ignored the doctor's order and so she never got the colonoscopy. It was just pure negligence. Most nursing homes charge around $7,000 a month and they charge $10,000 a month. That's ridiculous, and she got the worst care she's ever had. The food they gave her didn't look appetizing; looked like somebody threw it together. She had a hamburger and I don't think she had anything with it. They covered up everything and their mistakes. That needs to be closed down.

I visit my grandmother there and for almost $10,000 a month I’d expect not to see roaches and flies everywhere I turn. She had rat droppings by her snacks and it smells horrible. That administrator guy is so rude. Every time I go the funeral home is there. Maybe 6-7 times in the past few weeks. Stay away

This facility is amazing. The food is surprisingly good, the staff is friendly, and the amenities are nice. I went there about once a week for a year to visit my grandmother, who was no longer able to live by herself. I was always greeted by name every time and I was made to feel at home, always. I would have dinner there, and the staff even made it feel like a nice restaurant. Additionally, we would play Bingo, and the game center was very nice.I was told by my grandmother that the staff was also nice to her even when I wasn't there which was comforting. I really like the people who are there. It's a humane place with a dedicated staff and it certainly doesn't carry the stigma that many other assisted living facilities do carry. My grandmother enjoyed her stay there, and I never disliked going to visit her.
