My mother was in rehab at this facility for five weeks this winter. I accepted the room hesitantly at first because it was a 45 minute drive from my home. I came to realize it was worth the drive. My first impression proved to be misleading. The facility was clean, but drab and outdated. However, the staff brought sunshine into every nook and cranny. Every person, from the janitors to the administrators, treated my precious momma like she was their own. The therapists and CNAs were especially kind and attentive. Covid prohibited much of the interaction of the residents, but the staff more than made up for it. I was always made to feel welcomed. Many of the staff even called me by name. My questions and concerns were always addressed promptly. Her cleanliness and medications were attended to on time. The furnishings in the rooms were comfortable and adequate for two visitors. Their family rooms were nice spaces for larger visits before Covid. The food was acceptable. I enjoyed taking Momma that I cooked anyway. I highly recommend this rehab facility to anyone in need of their services. I would give them TEN stars if possible. God bless these angels. They truly are the hands and feet of our Savior.

My grandmother was in this facility for physical rehab. My family and I had to stay with her around the clock to ensure that she got basic care. Couldn't get help to and from the bathroom for hours at a time, medications were often late, or even missed doses. A few of the nurses and cnas were great and seemed to care, but patient care and safety certainly depended on which staff members you have from shift to shift. Pt and OT staff is good, I'd recommend outpatient therapy there, at most. If your loved one is mentally incapable of speaking up for themselves, and enforcing rights and decisions, I don't recommend leaving them in the care of this facility.

My mother was recently at the Brian Center for rehabilitation after surgery. I was met at the front door by Judy, the administrator, who was very friendly and had a warm smile. When it comes to family, especially my mother, I am very particular and guarded with their well-being. It takes a lot to impress me but after receiving a phone call from The Brian Center to set up a meeting between the department heads, who would be taking care of my mother, and myself I was very impressed. The meeting went well and everyone I met was very kind, sincere, and made us feel like we were part of The Brian Center Family! And that's exactly how all the staff members were - like one big family!!! My mother has been released and doing well. I would like to thank Judy, the department heads, the staff members, the physical therapy staff and the occupational staff for sending my mother back home with the strength and knowledge she gained while staying at your facility!!! Thank you all again! Myra Neill

All the residents seemed to be happy. I ate lunch, and it was delicious. I asked for seconds. The staff were available and professional. I wish my house stayed that clean. I could spend hours with the aviary. The cable service was better than I have, and the TV room had good easy chairs.

My dad was a resident at Brian Center Lincolnton. I could not have asked for better care. My dad had Dementia and spent his last couple of months there until he passed. They showed care and so much compassion for him, which so much to the family. I miss him dearly and knowing that he was treated with respect during such a difficult was a blessing.

Allowed my mom to go nearly a week without food or water before sending her to the hospital where she later died.

I visited Brian Center. The staffing was really good. I didn't get the chance to see the patients interacting with anybody. Their rooms were just basic rooms. There was a dining area, but most of residents were bedridden mostly. The appearance of the facility was OK. It was clean, but it could use some improvement too.

My mom is in Brian Center, she is in their nursing care unit. I went online and there were lots of other ones here, but Brian Center was rated as 4-1/2 stars, so we chose this facility. The facility is always clean and it doesn't smell of urine like other places do. They have good people working there. They have a lot of CNAs on one floor. They always have people on call, like they have doctors that are always there. They're a very caring facility and they're really very good. If you have any concerns, you can go and talk to their head nurse on-duty or talk to the management, which is great. This is very important to us and they do act whatever you have concerns about your loved ones. They have activities for their patients. They have bingo, church services on Sunday and Wednesday, etc. I would see the preacher there all the time. They had a party for Halloween where they dressed up their residents and it was really cute. They also provide good meals for them.

My aunt was a resident of this facility last year. She was treated with dignity, respect, and her wishes were always considered. Her situation was treated on an individual basis and all visitors were welcomed. We were treated with respect, the facility was nicely decorated, and the staff were kind. In the past I have visited facilities like this and wanted to run screaming the moment I walked in, this facility was nothing like that. It smelled clean, was welcoming and the patients didn't look like they'd been abandoned to die. They looked clean, cared for and happy. The nursing and other care staff should be credited with the job they do well. A lot of credit can go to the administrators alone, sometimes, but this is one facility where the nurses and CNA's go the extra mile to earn the credit they so rarely receive. The Brian Center of Lincolnton,NC and the nursing staff there are worth every penny they make going well out of there way to ensure the comfort of residents and visitors of the residents.
