My father-in-law was there for short term therapy. He loved the food and put on 5 pounds. He was able to return home within 3 weeks, and is doing well. He loved the staff. If he needs rehab in the future, he wants to go back there.

I have a cousin in this Nursing Center. The staff and management are taking great care of my cousin. Now, we have had our ups and downs during this process(I consider this as the Honey Mood period). The staff and I are working together to insure my cousin is being taking care of to the best of their abilities. I love that I have never visited the property(inside or outside) and smelled any odors, seen the facility dirty. Piney Grove have wonderful activities for the residents to participate in. I visited one day and my cousin was playing cards. I never knew he played cards until my visit. He is able to play the piano which he loves, go outside, etc. Thank you all at Piney Grove

The CNA , once again do all the work , why people that sit in office don’t do a damn thing, and patients are not taking care of , no water and the ones that can’t feed themselves goes without. . I got a family member here and I so wish I didn’t suggest this place , the management, don’t care of the patients nor the ones who does the work. And a lot of the CNA and nurses feel the same way . So please go else where .

This place doesn’t seem to be concerned about the patients. They always have an excuse for why they fail to care for the residents like family. Even though thats what they say when you tour the place. I wouldn’t recommend it to Anyone. The patients here should be getting better care. Treat my family better than you treat your family because we love our family members.

My mom has been in Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center since the beginning of June. They've taken really good care of her since she's been there. The staff is friendly. They keep me updated with things, They've just been very, very diligent with their stuff. It just looks like your typical nursing home. The carpet looks older but other than that, it's fine. I don't have anything bad to say. The staff is friendly and very personable. I've never had any of the food, but my mom does eat it, and she's very picky. They have a beauty salon, laundry facility, and a game room. They have a bunch of activities that they can do throughout the week, movie night. They have all kinds of stuff.

The facility didn't get my mom up and walking. The facility lost my mom's clothes. If I had to put my mother back in the facility for rehab, it would be my last choice.

The staff and upper management seem to care but not at all times. Phones are not answered promptly, sometimes not at all. Rooms are usually messy with dirty, sticky floors. If you complain, everyone ignores you. Communication is null and void. Sometimes the nurses act like they really don't want to be there. If someone goes into nursing, they should know in advance what it's all about. Not at Piney Grove. Residents call out for help but their shouts and screams are ignored. Personal things get damaged or lost and nobody knows anything. Please don't subject your loved one to this facility.

The way the government regulates nursing facilities it's hard for nursing homes 2 stop the revolving door for staff. C&H pay is barely above minimum wage. But the ones that do work at this facility seem to genuinely care about their patients they put every effort Ford to make sure that the residents are clean dry and served a hot meal. No matter where you place your loved one it's a good 2 check on that person at different times during the day and evening so that you can be in assured that the care that they're receiving adequate care and attention. If you're not satisfied with the quality of care talk to management the best way to get anything done is to have open communication being a support system not only for your loved one but for the staff as well obviously we couldn't take care of our family members at home and we're depending upon them to do our jobs. Push our electric officials 2 put more money aside for nursing home residents increase the benefits of Social Security Medicaid show that nursing homes can afford to pay and keep reliable staff that want to work that want to care for the elderly or the disabled

My daughter was here as a hospice patient . I can't say enough nice things about this facility. The staff is extremely friendly. I also observed them working together and they talk to each other and have fun with each other and the residents. The care they gave my daughter was awesome. All staff including housekeeping, nursing, maintenance and administration were kind, giving and took really good care of my daughter. I am sorry that the other reviews did not feel the love and care my family did here but they were awesome. The activities director always had planned activities, I witnessed rehabilitation services being carried out and many staff members working after hours to give residents the care needed. The food served to the residents was delicious. This is a great place!

I love this facility you take care of the woman in a wheelchair and cannot talk. She previously rented a trailer from a friend of mine, Come to find out this handicapped mute had an affair with my boyfriend . Yes Yes I love the facility keep her if she could talk she would tell you but instead of talking she is swing her mouth for other things. ''Tis a pity things could have been so much different. Keep her forever please!

When you are there they seem to be very nice and attentive. But I don't think the personal is very happy there because you can see their faces looking very upset and exhausted. They do answer the phone promptly compare to other places. My dad seemed to "fall" every other day and even thou they would call me each time they always said no injuries that we can see. few days later...boom... there is a bruise. If you are placing your family here, visit often and with no announcement.

Understaffed facility. Don't expect that the caregivers there see your loved one as a human being. No assessments by nursing or CNA staff. You are lucky to get basic toileting needs. If you're one of the majority of people that want a place to leave a relative so that you're not responsible for their well being, this is the place for you. If you love your loved one, this is not the place for you.
Don't bring your loved one here

We would not not recommend that you bring your loved one to live here. Residents are left in urine soaked briefs for hours. They are severly short staffed, especially on the weekends. CNA's are grossly underpaid, overworked, short tempered with the residents, and there is a revolving door. The food is barely edible, comes out of a can and arrives to the resident cold, since most of the time, the overworked CNA has to deliver them. These residents are sick enough as it is without giving them substandard meals. This company is all about profits, not the comfort of the residents.

I wish there were minus points to give. Constant promise of an alarm on the bed to all family members, calls not returned, staff doesn't check id's and lets anyone sign a patient in...that is absolutely NO KIN, but they will let them fall, until they receive a head injury and bleed to death....Shut it down!

We have a mother who is a resident here, came to see her May6,2017,there was only a few nursing aids, our mother had not had a bath in weeks, she had fungus in her hair 1/2 thick, where she had not been bathed it was on her legs and feet, the compression stockings had not been changed, spoke to the other residents they also said they had not had a bath in weeks. I find this deplorable, they where also not be assisted to the bathroom .after turning their lights on no one came , this place has employee issues there are not enough people to take care of residents.also the front door was not monitored any resident could have walked out the front door no one would have known, This is the worst I have ever seen this place I would not recommend this place for your loved ones. It appears their profit means more than the care of I"ts patients

My father was admitted after hip replacement and a broken shoulder. He was supposed to be on the "short-term rehab" wing - no such thing. The halls smell like urine, you have to go through the whole place to get to his room, patients out in the hall that are not stable or coherent. Usually several in wheel chairs in the front entrance yelling and grabbing at you as you walk by. My dad was there 10 days, we were never informed of any problems until we requested a family meeting. He was taken out of bed twice in 10 days. Developed a urinary track infection that was supposed to be treated. Ended up being taken back to the hospital. When he arrived he was in septic shock and close to dying. The staff talks a good game but there is really little actual caring or concern. Many staff are rude - especially front office. Have visited other facilities now, and know it doesn't have to be this way. Please, look for another place - don't let convenience take your loved one's life like nearly happened to us. Yes, my father is 89 and ornery, but that is no excuse!

Piney Grove Nursing and Rehab Center was not a really good place. My daughter's grandmother by marriage was in a shared room. She was well cared for and the staff was good. But it just was very difficult. There are a lot of folks there who were not of sound mind. I think that they had mixed combination of residents with probably Alzheimer's and some dementia, and with folks who did not have that problem. There were young people, old people. There's an incredibly overwhelming smell of urine throughout the whole place. I know they don't have to be that way. It was an older facility and I'm sure they tried very hard. I feel bad because I'm sure the staff was great. I didn't get to interact with any of the staff.

Piney Grove provided rehabilitation for my mother for one month after her knee surgery. My mother was satisfied and we're all very pleased with the service.

My great-grandmother was admitted into this nursing home as she was too elderly to remain living at home without someone to take care of her. During her stay there were many incidents with other residents stealing items out of her room, violently attacking her, and the overall cleanliness of the facility left much to be desired. The regular musical guests and activities were not terrible. However, her condition eventually worsened due to a stroke that claimed much of her mobility and required an increased amount of care. Already in a wheelchair, she required assistance for many tasks which we found were not sufficiently provided by the staff at the facility. As a family, we decided that this place was no longer able to fulfill my grandmother's needs, and took her out of care there to a different facility within the same area. Overall my experiences with nursing homes has not been very favorable and I hope to not require the service of any other one.
